Recap:

"What are we talking about?" Cole spoke from behind them, making Tom jump.

"Chr*st!"

"Revenge." Cecilia answered her brother.

"Ooh, now that sounds more like the sister I know!" He rubbed his hands together in glee, his buxom blonde still leaning against him drunkenly. "What are we planning?"

------------------------

"Reee-venge! Reee-venge!" Cole sang, off-key. "We must all take reee-venge!"

"Ugh, Cole!" Cecilia grunted as she and Tom dragged his intoxicated body out of the club. "Seriously, how much are you eating these days?!"

"Yeah, man." Tom agreed. "I think you need to consider going on a serious diet after today. Maybe go light on those cheeseburgers, yeah?"

"Mmmmm... cheeseburgers..." Cole moaned, seeming to not have heard anything else Tom said.

"No!" Cecilia dropped him abruptly, sending him almost crashing into the floor. "No cheeseburgers for you!" She pointed a finger sternly, with a no-nonense glare.

Cole widened his eyes at her, wobbling his lower lip. "Pleease?" He pleaded, pathetically.

"No! That puppy-dog look won't work on me, and you know it."

"Cheeseburger." He sulked, narrowing his eyes at her as she put his arm around her shoulder again.

"No."

"Cheeseburger!"

"NO!" Cecilia and Tom shouted simultaneously. They exchanged startled glances, before they burst into laughter.

"So... I didn't get to ask... how did you find my friends?" Tom asked nervously.

"They were amazing!" Cecilia responded, ecstatically. "Much better than I could have imagined! They were so warm and friendly, even though I came over unexpectedly. I had a great time." She smiled at him, softly.

Tom grinned back at her broadly, before his smile wilted a little. He sighed. "I'm sorry about Rose. She has a bit of an issue... with new people."

Cecilia just raised an eyebrow. "New people... or me?"

"What?" Tom raised startled eyes to her.

"Nothing." Cecilia sighed, shaking her head. But she couldn't shake the feeling that there was some other reason for the brunette's hostility.

"Cessy." Cole suddenly made his presence known again. "I think... I'm going to be sick."

"WHAT?! NO!" Cess shouted at him. "Cole please, just control it a little bit, ok? We'll be home in 5 minutes." She and Tom hurried to set him down in her car.

Once they had adjusted him and put on his seatbelt, they straightened, breathing deep sighs of relief.

"So..." Tom leant against the car. "We'll all be meeting on Saturday?"

"Yeah, definitely! Just text me the place, and we'll all have lunch."

"Sure." Tom scratched his neck, awkwardly. "But, I was wondering... I mean, only if you wanted to... I mean, there's no pressure, but..."

"What?" Cecilia asked, distracted. She closed Cole's door for him, and opened the window for him to get some fresh air.

"Only if you wanted... would you like to get some dinner on Friday?"

"Friday?" She straightened and leant against the door, thinking. "Yep, should be fine. I don't think I have anything else going on..." She pondered.

"So... that's a yes?" He questioned, unable to believe it had been that easy. "You're saying yes?"

"Yes, Tom." She looked at him with a mixture of amusement and confusion. "I said yes."

"Great!" He exclaimed. "I mean, that's wonderful." He spoke in a more sedate tone, trying to surpress his excitement. "So 8pm, Friday?"

"Sure." She smiled at him, waving as she got into the driver's seat. "I'll see you then. Pick me up at 7.30pm, ok?"

"Definitely! Bye!"

"Bye." With a final nod, Cecilia started the engine and put her foot on the clutch.

"Cess." Cole stirred, groaning. "Cess-"

Cecilia could only watch in horror as her brother turned his head back out the open window and hurled his stomach's entire contents over his unsuspecting victim.

Tom's wide grin slowly morphed into a look of disgusted shock as he found himself covered in saliva, vomit and a selection of half-digested foods.

Not pausing to see Tom's reaction, Cecilia pressed her foot hard on the accelerator, driving as fast as she could before Cole decided to bathe Tom further with the innermost contents of his digestive tract.

***

"Unbelievable, Cole!" She scolded him the next morning. "I can't believe you did that. How could you have drunk so much?!"

"Sh*t, sis! Can you tone it down, please?" Cole pressed his head into his hands, grimacing.

"Oh, yeah, sure, certainly- LALALALALALALA!!!!" She screamed right in his ear.

"What the f*ck!" Cole jumped up, glaring at his sister with hatred. "Why would you do that? Why?!"

Cecilia crossed her arms. "Because you deserved it. You threw up all over poor Tom! That's your punishment." She set down a glass of water and painkillers in front of him.

He threw back the tablets before taking a sip of water. "Sh*t. I need to apologise to him."

"That's right. You do." Slightly mollified by his ashamed face, she took a seat next to him at the breakfast table. "Where were you all night? And what happened to that blonde that was stuck to your hip all night?"

"Oh, that." Cole grinned, mischief lighting his eyes. "Let's just say... it wasn't my hip she was stuck to last time I saw her."

Cess frowned for a moment, before it suddenly clicked. "Oh, gross, Cole!" She gagged, jumping up from the table. "I did not need to know that! Bye!" She grabbed her bag and ran out of the house, while her brother chuckled loudly.

"It was in the toilets!" He called after her.

"Great!" She muttered to herself as disgusted shivers ran through her body. "Now I'll never be able to use those toilets again."

***

Cecilia sat down at her desk with a sigh. She'd arrived half an hour earlier than she was supposed to - she was that scarred by her brother's tales.

She decided to push her brother's escapades to the back of her mind before she vomited, and carried on checking through the files. Blinking rapidly, she yawned.

"God! Please, I need coffee!" She pleaded, hands clasped together in desperation. Whether or not that higher being heard her, she didn't know, but he certainly didn't grant her request, since no coffee cup miraculously landed in her hands. Sighing, she got out of her seat again, before making her way towards the nearest kitchenette.

The entire office was empty and dark, the number of staff there limited to the security and cleaning staff that worked overnight and early morning.

Rubbing her eyes to keep herself awake, Cess made her way down the hall- only to come to an abrupt halt at the sound of a moan.

Déjà vu rushed through her from the day before, as she realised that the sound was coming from Nic's office. She walked closer, trying to discern what it was she had heard.

"Yes," a feminine voice moaned. "Like that."

"No talking." Cecilia's heart dropped, as she clearly heard Nic's voice through the closed door. "You know I don't like it."

For the first time, Cecilia noticed that this wasn't her so-called Boss' usual ice cold voice. His voice right now had a husky quality to it, rough and animalistic, sending shivers down her spine.

"Ok." The voice gasped. "I'll do whatever you want, baby."

"No endearments." Suddenly all sounds stopped.

"Ok, ok! Just don't stop!" The female voice groaned.

The groans rose louder, the pitch rising, until suddenly it reached a crescendo. Cecilia felt her heart sinking deeper and deeper. Although she couldn't understand what was causing the sounds, somehow her subconscious must have known that it was not something she ever wanted to hear.

"That was great." The female voice whispered.

"Ok, you can leave now."

"What about round five?"

"Don't you mean round six?" He snorted. "Look, you slept over last night and I didn't say anything because I needed the release. But right now, you need to go. And I'm warning you, don't ever come to my office like you did last night."

"Why?" The other voice whined. "You seemed to like it last night."

"As I said, I needed release. But if you ever show up like that again, I'll have my security throw you out, before personally destroying you and your father for creating a scene at my workplace."

"Fine! I won't come here. Happy?"

The door opened with a bang, as a tall blonde woman stormed out. Cecilia hastily pressed herself against the wall to avoid being detected.

"Clara. Come here." He commanded.

All anger seemed to vanish from the other woman's face at Nic's voice, and she walked back to him, completely submissive.

"Don't ever bang the door like that again. Ok?" When she nodded silently, he gave her a smirk and roughly threaded a hand through her hair. "Good girl." He whispered, before kissing her deeply.

Cecilia restrained the gasp that was begging to come out from her throat as she watched them, tears stinging her eyes.

Finally, they parted. Nic nodded at her, face inscrutable once again. Smiling at him, dazedly, the other woman walked out as if she was on cloud 9.

Sudden furious rage filled Cecilia's veins as she watched her go. Spinning her head back around to Nic, her fury reached new heights when she saw the self-satisfied smirk he was wearing.

Shaking with anger, she marched upto him, and before he could even register her presence, she slapped him as hard as she could.

She panted hard, adrenaline rushing through her, as the imprint of her hand slowly showed up a stark red on his left cheek.

His head slowly turned back to face her. His eyes were red with anger, bloodlust in them clear. He grasped her wrist with enough force to crush it, as he dragged her inside his office, slamming his door shut.

"What in the f*ck," he growled dangerously, voice slowly rising, "do you think you are DOING?!!"

Cecilia glared back at him, hatred clear in her eyes, refusing to back down.

"What? What are you going to do? Are you going to hit me?! Go on! Do it!!" She spat, tilting her cheek towards him.

Nicolas ground his teeth in frustration, as he tightened his grip on her wrist.

"Merda!! If you were not a woman... you would not be alive right now!" He threw her hand away in disgust.

"Why not? For a man like you, I'm sure you are used to hitting woment!"

He stepped closer, eyes burning. "Don't tempt me."

"Stop." She scoffed. "You don't intimidate me. Don't mistake me for your other women." She said, referring to the woman who had just left. "You disgust me!"

His eyes cooled, as he stepped back. "That is none of your concern."

"Not MINE!!" She took a step forward. "But it sure as hell is my FRIEND's business! MY friend, who has been nothing but kind and welcoming to me ever since I have come here. I'm pretty damn certain it is HER concern! How? How could you do that to her? Didn't you think of her even once before consorting with a woman like that?!" She said in disgust.

Nic just watched her in silence, with brooding eyes.

"How could you do that to Sophia? How could you cheat on her?!" She whispered, tears filling her eyes at the thought of what her friend would feel when she found out. "Don't you love her?"

For a moment, there was complete silence. Confused, Cecilia glanced up, wondering why it was taking him so long to answer a question that should have had an obvious answer.

"I do." Nic answered when she met his eyes. "I love her more than anything."

Abruptly, Cecilia sucked in a breath, feeling more tears come to her eyes, and she looked away quickly. But why was her heart sinking? She should be happy that he admitted he loved Sophia. Why did she feel worse than she had when she saw him kissing another woman?

"Then, why-"

Suddenly the door swung open revealing the very woman of whom they were speaking.

"Hey-" She halted abruptly, taking in the scene before her. "What's going on?" She looked between the two.

"Soph-"

"Nothing." He spoke over her. "She was just leaving." He pushed Cecilia out the door before she could say anything further.

"But-" Cess protested in vain, as she was shoved out and the door was closed firmly behind her.

Turning, she stared at the shut door, putting her hands on her hips.

'Alright, Mr. Nicolas Freire,' she thought, grimly. 'Do what you want. But nothing is going to stop me from telling Sophia what you've done. I'll find a way!'

Spinning around, she made her way back to her office, disgust filling her.

Thinking of the experiment Cole had told her to do, she immediately dismissed it. A man like him couldn't mean anything to her. She wouldn't let him!
