CH 14

My older sister had to miss two days of school due to a fever.

Our family has a rule that if one of us is sick, we must have one chaperone. My little sister took care of that. I made meals that were easy to digest and kept them cold in the refrigerator. I cooked and kept the food cold in the refrigerator, and only heated it up, which even my sister, who does not usually cook, could do.

The older sister was resting and gradually feeling better, and by Friday she was well enough to go to school.

Well, whatever it is, I’m glad she is feeling better.

Club activities, what’s good for you? Homework, what’s so good about it? I didn’t want to be alone in my room, so I changed from loungewear to casual clothes and came to the big downtown area in front of the station.

“Expensive…”

Staring at plastic models.

I want this and that. It’s quite expensive to buy all of them. It’s not kind to the wallet of a high school student who doesn’t have a part-time job.

I should have gotten a part-time job if this is what I wanted. I could work at a place with Runa even now …… No, no. It would be a nuisance to be taken care of even at a part-time job.

After much hesitation, I bought only one plastic model and left the store.

“Aah! Amachin!”

“Hnn? Ooo, Yoshida”

I was called from behind and turned to see Yoshida in plain clothes. She was wearing a black cap and a flabby white hoodie. Underneath, she was wearing denim shorts and black sneakers.

“Yahhooo! What a coincidence!”

“Oddly enough, …… Yoshida, what’s with the outfit?”

“I’m in my casual clothes.”

“I know it when I see it.”

Rough as ever.

Yoshida is the kind of girl who has no interest in clothes and will come to play in jerseys unless Runa chooses her to wear them. She is what is called a crass girl.

“Didn’t Runa pick out your clothes for you the other day?”

“That’s just for emergencies, so I can’t use it!”

“This is your moment, right?”

“That’s for when I go out with my girlfriends! You don’t know anything anymore, Amachan!”

“No, it’s you.”

“That’s what Amachan says …… Oh, you’re surprisingly neat!”

Yoshida takes a serious look at my attire.

My personal clothes. Open collar shirt and black skinny pants. Sneakers in black and white design. ……

“It’s pretty simple, though, isn’t it?”

“I just don’t understand the simplicity of it.”

“Simple is simple.”

“I don’t know! Then you choose!”

“Yes?”

“You’re probably bored out of your mind. I’ll give you the honor of choosing my clothes. Come on, let’s go over there.”

Yoshida pointed a finger.

When I look in the direction it points, I see a select store selling men’s and unisex clothing.

Like I said, don’t choose there.

“Rejected.”

“Yes, let’s go!”

She forcefully pulled me by the arm and took me away.

It could have been a select store, but we changed to a clothing line that deals mainly with women’s items a bit more.

“Yes! How is it, amachin!”

“Yeah, it looks good.”

At the fitting room.

Yoshida in the clothes I chose. A brown vest over a white dress. Cream-colored sneakers. Earrings in her ears.

You won’t have to wear underwear with the dress, so you won’t have to worry about the fashions underneath.

“I see, I see. This kind of clothing is also…..”

“I’ve tried on three, which one do you like better?”

“I wonder if it is the one you’re wearing right now.”

“I see”

She leaves the fitting room to return the other two dresses.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve picked out a girl’s outfit ……”

I remember when I used to be a fashionista, and I used to accompany the two of them in their clothing choices.

As I was hanging my clothes in their original place, Yoshida, who had just finished getting dressed, came up to me.

”I love it when people pick out the clothes for me. Do you pick out clothes for your sisters too?”

“No, I don’t.”

“Hmm. Come to think of it, I’ve never seen Amachin talking to his sisters, or heard that they went out together or anything, but …… do you think maybe you are not on good terms with each other?”

“If you know that much, then guess”

“You guys don’t get along.”

Well, I don’t think that’s the case right now.

Yoshida buys the last outfit I chose. She hands me a black coffee she took out at a cafe on the way.

“Thanks for picking out my outfit! Now I have another one of my own~”

“And now you should buy one yourself.”

“Well, I’ll make an effort. Well, have a nice holiday.”

We wave goodbye.

Choosing clothes was pretty tiring, but …… well, it wasn’t bad to choose with someone else.

“You can come out, Take”

“Oou, I’ve been here too long. I didn’t think you were going to the clothing store.”

“I’m sorry. I was just standing there talking like that and thought I could cut you off.”

“That’s true. So, how was Towa?

“It was like he was hiding something. It looks like he had a row with his sisters.”
