Chapter 7

Armand Evangelista

Our Dirty Little Secret

Jayce

I was taken aback—and, if I’m being honest, a bit ticked off.

And a little turned on.

She took control by pushing me away. She didn’t succumb to my charm like before. She seemed entirely unfazed.

“What the hell?” I grumbled, settling into my desk chair.

I decided to review the papers Mr. Connor had handed me. It would be a good distraction from Tuli, and I needed to prepare an assignment for my students tomorrow.

I slipped my glasses back on and started reading.

Mr. Connor’s assignment was for the students to read a persuasive essay included in the packet and analyze its strengths and weaknesses. I decided to tweak it a bit.

Now, the students would read a narrative essay I provided, analyze its strengths and weaknesses, and compare and contrast it with a different type of essay of their choice.

I jotted down the revised assignment and started searching for a well-crafted narrative essay for them to read.

My day dragged on slower than I’d hoped. I’d wished it would fly by so I could distract myself from my pent-up frustration, even if just for a few hours. But it didn’t help.

After my free period, I had three more classes to teach.

My mind was so consumed with thoughts of Tuli, I barely noticed the girls undressing me with their eyes as I stumbled through my lecture.

I just hadn’t expected her to reject me. My cock twitched at the mere thought of her.

I had to keep reminding myself that I was in a classroom, and it would be not only embarrassing but highly inappropriate for my students to see their professor sporting a hard-on.

I discreetly pinched myself in an attempt to snap back to reality.

Thankfully, I managed to avoid an erection throughout the school day, but it didn’t erase one person from my mind.

A voice in my head taunted me: ~You won’t be able to go to school without bumping into her.~

I brushed the thought aside but still cringed knowing how true it was. I quickly exited the school and headed to my car, dodging as many students and coworkers as possible.

I fumbled with my car keys, avoiding eye contact. But I could feel someone watching me.

I looked up to see her staring at me. Tuli. I sighed inwardly.

~Damn, I’ll never be able to get that girl out of my head.~

But I wasn’t entirely convinced she was immune to me, and to prove it to myself, I flashed her one of my irresistible smiles. She blushed furiously and walked away.

I chuckled to myself as I climbed into my car, started the engine, and drove off.

~Whether she admits it or not, Tuli is still attracted to me.~

~I’ll give her some space, but I highly doubt she’ll be able to resist me for long.~

Tuli

After the captivating smirk Jayce shot my way, I rushed to my car, flustered and irritated by my reaction to it.

I could still feel my knees going weak and my heart pounding in my chest.

I shook my head and headed to my car, digging my keys out of my backpack.

I unlocked the car and slid in, but when I went to plug my phone into the speakers, I realized it wasn’t in my pockets where it should have been.

“Damn,” I muttered under my breath, panic setting in.

I stepped out of the car and began to search for it.

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” I exclaimed, frustrated as I dropped to my knees, desperately trying to see if it had fallen under the car.

As I started to crawl around, I felt someone standing over me. Embarrassed, I looked up to see a handsome guy standing there, my phone in his outstretched hand.

I quickly stood up and took it from him, studying him as I did.

He didn’t look much older than me, maybe a year or two, with a strong, chiseled face.

His black hair was short, except for his bangs, which were swept to the side, revealing his stunning green eyes.

He had luscious, kissable pink lips and a short, black stubble sprinkled along his jaw and chin. His skin was a beautiful bronze.

I was snapped out of my daze by his warm voice breaking the silence. “What?” I responded quickly, caught in his forest-green gaze.

“Do you like what you see?” he asked, biting his lip to suppress a laugh.

My face turned beet-red as I glared at him, and I turned my back to him. “Thanks for returning my phone, but I need to get going,” I mumbled.

“Hey, I’m sorry. Don’t be upset, okay?” he pleaded, causing me to turn back and look at him. “I was just joking; it’s how I interact with everyone.”

My lips twitched as I fought back a smile. “Sorry, that was just a bit embarrassing. I, uh, didn’t realize I was staring.”

He smiled and shook his head. “Don’t worry about it, I don’t mind. But why don’t we start over? My name is Armand Evangelista.”

He extended his hand.

Something about his accent was familiar. “You’re Italian?”

“Yeah. I moved here about five years ago, before my senior year of high school. My parents decided we should move here for my dad’s job and so I could attend this school.”

“Oh, I see,” I murmured, amazed as I placed my hand in his. “It’s nice to meet you, Armand. My name is Tuli D’Amore.”

His smile widened as he brought my hand to his lips and lightly kissed my knuckles.

I blushed, both embarrassed and flattered, as he let go of my hand. I moved both my hands behind my back and clasped them.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you too, signorina,” he murmured.

I looked away, too stunned to form words, and opened my car door.

“Uhm, thank you, by the way,” I managed, “for returning my phone.”

Armand looked at me with those irresistible puppy-dog eyes. “Honestly, it was nothing. I noticed you dropped it and you seemed in a rush. I just wanted to return it before you took off. Plus, it was a great chance to strike up a conversation with a pretty girl.”

His words made me blush, yet again, and he let out a soft chuckle. “Well, I bet you’ve got places to be. Will I see you tomorrow?”

Caught off guard, I stammered, “Oh—right. I’ll be there. Thanks again. See you later.”

With that, I hopped into my car and drove off, leaving a grinning Armand behind.
