Chapter 34
The Contract Marriage (Complete)
Teresa's P.O.V
"Go home Ryouma, you've already caught a cold. It'll get worse if you get soaked." I turned around to leave.
"Don't go." He hold my wrist.
"Why are you being this way? We'll both get sick if we--"
But he cut me off pulling me back into a passionate kiss.
What the hell? I tried to push him but he wouldn't let go instead pulled me even closer. I gave in and kissed him back wrapping my arms around his neck. We broke apart and with his forehead locked with mine he whispered "you're not allowed to..." but he suddenly fainted.
"Oi, Ryouma?" I shake him and he's burning with fever.
"Don't go fainting on me, you're heavy." I tried to balance and patted his cheeks, he opened his eyes a little.
I struggled with bringing him to the car. I placed him inside the car and called the doctor on my way home.
Third person's P.O.V
Home
The doctor checked him and told he collapsed due to stress and cold.
And lots of ice cream and rain, and I warned him, thought Teresa.
She did contact her mother-in-law, but she wasn't here yet. But little did she know her mom and dad went out on purpose leaving them alone. She was glad to have Maria at home but she had to go home leaving Teresa all by herself with her sick husband
What am I supposed to do? She thought looking at her husband who was panting and shivering pulling up the blanket.
She checked on the internet for the tips to look after a sick person.
She went to the kitchen and prepared some ice on the bucket to sponge his burning head.
"This would help." She smiled to herself but she stumbled on her way and the whole bucket of ice landed on Ryouma.
"Are you trying to kill me?" He woke up due to cold and shouted shivering.
"Sorry. Wait I'll bring the towel and pair of clothes to change." she said after a minute came up with a bright Hawaiian shirt.
"There's no way I'm wearing those." He shouted panting with a red face due to fever.
"You're still care about a shirt in this condition? Hurry up and get changed before your fever worsens." She pulled off the blanket and dried him with towel while he shivered.
He tried to get up from the bed but felt dizzy and fell back on the bed.
"Just sit, I'll help you." She started unbuttoning his shirt and found her husband staring her.
"Is there something on my face?" She asked blushing.
"You're blushing." He continues staring at her.
"Don't look at me like that." She found her temperature going up now, continuing to unbutton, she tried to calm her racing heart but guess it wouldn't listen to her.
"Stop checking me out and hurry up, I'm freezing here." He coughed.
"I'm not." She shouted with a bright red face.
"And stop whispering in my ears. It's already very awkward." She looked down covering her blushing red face.
"What is?" He leaned in and whispered in her ear which sent chills throughout her body.
"As I said don't do that." She punched his face with her face bright red like tomato.
He laughed seeing her face.
"You know, you look cute like this, bright red, even challenging a tomato. Just like on our wedding." He smiled and leaned in close and their nose touched.
She stood up and pushed him on the bed his head landing on the pillow with a thud covering him with blanket.
"I guess you really are sick. The fever has gotten inside your head, stop talking nonsense and go to sleep." She then rushed out of the room.
She looked at the mirror and wondered if she could get any redder than this. She covered her face with her hands and went to kitchen.
"Okay Teresa, ice sponge failed, let's make a porridge next." She slapped her cheeks and surfed the net for recipe.
After hours, finally the porridge was ready. The first one exploded and the cooker pasted in the ceiling, second time the microwave exploded, third time it burnt black. The last was the only edible one. Finally! She smiled and took whole bowl of porridge to her husband who was lying on the bed panting with fever. She made him sit and kept a table with the porridge on it on the bed.
"here have it, you'll feel better." She smiled at him.
Ryouma looked at the thing that his wife called a porridge which looked nothing near to it.
"Is this your first time cooking it?" He asked her coughing, covering himself with blanket upto his neck.
"It's my first time cooking anything, but I made it with the recipe in the internet. It help you gain energy. You're really lucky you're the first person to taste my cooking." She smiled.
"Do I have to eat it?" He pointed at the thing kept before him. He doubted it would in fact drain his remaining energy instead.
"Of course you have to, you can't have the medicine empty stomach. It may look bad but it is good." She assured him.
He tried to lift the spoon but he didn't have any strength to.
"What's wrong?" She looked at him with worried eyes.
"Feed..." He whispered.
"Huh?" She brought her face close to him.
"Feed me... I can't."
"You want me to feed you?" She blinked at his words.
"Do you see anyone except you?" He said irritated.
"Yeah of course... you're sick... I'll have to feed you I guess." She smiled nervously.
"Okay, here we go." She took the spoon in her hands and shoved into his mouth.
"What are you doing? Are you trying to kill me? " He glared at her.
"huh?"
"It's too hot! Ah burns!" He sticks his tongue out and breaths the air in.
"Sorry." She looked at him with guilt.
"Why are you trembling? I'll not eat you up." He looked at her trembling hands.
"Just blow on it and feed me." He sighs.
As soon as he put the 'thing' in his mouth, he wanted to throw up. His wife was looking at him with hopeful eyes. He gulped forcefully and forced a smile.
After finishing a bowl of the porridge his wife was going for another serving. He couldn't hide the disgust towards the food, if one can call it a food.
"Seriously, what was that? How can something be this horrible to kill every taste bud?" He said with a disgusted face. His wife started to cry which immediately made him regret and take his words back.
"Sorry, I guess I really am useless, but I really wanted to pay you back for all your kindness but I only caused trouble like always." She said sobbing.
"No you really did your best." He pulled her on the bed next to him and kissed her hands which had cut marks.
"I'll tell you an easy way to help me out. You just need to stay by my side." He kissed her forehead and kept her cold hands on his burning cheeks.
"Ah so cold." He relaxed under her touch, snuggled to her and slept.
"I need to get well soon and I don't ever want to be sick, I'm not being myself." He thought before he drifted to sleep.
"You're mine. You should always stay with me." He muttered in his sleep holding her tight.
"I was already yours, even before I realized myself." She whispered and smiled, resting her head on his chest.
Ryouma's P.O.V
Morning
I slowly opened my eyes and found my wife smiling at me with my arms wrapped around her. Seeing her close I freaked out and got up from the bed immediately.
"Good morning husband. Feeling better?" She gave a bright smile and something about her smile tells me I'm in trouble.
