Chapter 1004 - Pregnant

She felt so happy for him, she felt really happy for him.

She felt so proud of Lu Yan.

An’an looked in front with teary eyes. That imposing figure stood on the steps above, he was practically shining. His entire body was surrounded by the lights, receiving everyone’s attention and admiration.

How could one even lead a life just like him? He had experienced the vicissitudes in life and eventually become everyone’s role model, he had become a living legend.

He finally discovered his own sky, just like an eagle, he could finally soar freely.

No one could ever stop him from advancing.

After so many years, he could finally come out from the darkness, walking out into the public light. He was gleaming.

An’an lifted her hand, pressing on the tattoo of an eagle on her chest. Her chest hurt a little, she was somewhat sad but joy continued sprouting in her heart.

“Salute!”

A loud voice was heard.

Bam! All the soldiers lifted their right leg, giving a mass salute. The man on the stage scanned around the entire army of soldiers before he lifted his right hand, saluting back.

The entire army quietened down, it instantly went silent. The flag had been risen, this moment would become a legend for eternity.

Once the conferment ceremony had ended, the crowd dissipated and someone accidentally knocked into An’an. Her vision instantly went black.

“I’m sorry, Miss, are you fine?” The person who knocked into An’an instantly apologized.

An’an shut her eyes and reopened them. She felt light headed. Placing her hand on her chest, she was nauseated, wanting to retch.

Her face was pale, but she shook her head. “I’m fine...”

“Please give way, General Lu’s car is coming out soon.” Someone appeared to direct the traffic.

An’an took a few steps backwards, everyone had made way for the car to pass.

A bulletproof Jeep appeared, Lu Yan was inside. The Jeep was fully customized, the windows had the all new black tempered glass. No one could see what was inside from the outside.

An’an looked at the Jeep. It slowly got closer to her, bit by bit. She pinned the Jeep with an unwavering gaze.

She knew that he was inside.

Though she had lost her sight, she could feel someone’s gaze landing on her through the windows.

He must have been looking at her too.

An’an instantly felt her heart palpitating. The Jeep crossed paths with her, eventually speeding away.

He left.

He really left.

An’an lowered her lashes. She actually wanted to talk to him.

She wanted to tell him that she felt so happy for him.

She wanted to take a good look at him, she wanted to see him dressed in his uniform for the very first time.

He was on the stage earlier on and being in the audience, she hadn’t seen him clearly.

She had been waiting for this day to arrive for forever, she wanted to see him in his uniform but everything went differently from her expectation. If only... she could put his uniform on for him personally.

She wanted to run her fingers over his insignia, run her fingers over his entire face and tell him, Ah Yan, you’re so amazing.

But she didn’t have the chance to do all of that.

Then at that moment, An’an fainted.

“Hey, Miss!”

An’an slowly opened her eyes, she looked around and realized she was in a hospital ward.

What had happened to her?

Why did she just faint for no reason?

An’an moved, wanting to get up. A doctor suddenly appeared in the ward. “Miss, please lie down. You really need a good rest now.”

“Doctor, what has happened to me?”

“Miss, congratulations, you’re pregnant.” The doctor handed the pregnancy test results to An’an.

You’re pregnant.

The doctor’s words seared into An’an’s mind. She went in a daze.

What did the doctor just say?

She was pregnant?

An’an lowered her eyes to check the results. It had been confirmed that she was pregnant.

I’m pregnant?

Lu Yan wanted a child and she had already mentally prepared herself for it. The few times that they got intimate with each other, they hadn’t used protection at all.

But it was... all happening too quickly!

Her elder brother had been pestering her little sister-in-law for a second child. Even Young Master Fu and Shi’shi were proactively trying for a baby. The two of them hadn’t really tried for it but she was the one who fell pregnant the earliest.

An’an was stunned at the results, it all came crashing down on her.

Lifting her hand, she placed it on her stomach. His blood and bones are... growing inside of me?

“Doctor, my baby...”

Noticing An’an’s worried expression, the doctor quickly calmed her down. “Miss, don’t be worried. You’ve just become pregnant, it has only been three weeks. The results are fine, you and the baby are all healthy.”

An’an instantly smiled. “Really?”

“It’s definitely real! Miss, you’re still young and you’re quite healthy. The pregnancy should be all fine. Remember to get more rest in your first trimester and take in more nutrients. Also, don’t get intimate in the first trimester and remember to come for you pre-natal checkups frequently and there won’t be any problems,” the doctor advised.

If this were to happen three years ago, An’an’s pregnancy would have been a hazard, since she was in poor health back then.

But fast forward three years later, she had joined the FIU and the intensive training had strengthened her body and health. Also, she had recovered from leukemia and at the age of 21, she was at the prime of her youth. Now that she was pregnant, everything would be fine.

An’an’s lashes fluttered, she had never felt so much joy in her life.

She was pregnant.

She had a Little Yan growing inside of her.

Everything was predestined, the heavens had their plans for them. Lu Yan had finally succeeded today, soaring in the sky while she had his blood and bones growing inside of her.

He was going to have his bloodline.

An’an placed her hand on her stomach, making gentle circles on it. Tears welled up in her eyes again. She felt so thankful for Little Yan’s arrival. It didn’t matter that Lu Yan wasn’t by her side at that very moment, she didn’t feel lonely at all with Little Yan’s company.

An’an hadn’t told anyone about the news of her pregnancy. She had just gotten pregnant for not too long and the previous General was still in a coma. She had to be careful, she had to protect Little Yan well.

An’an found Li Junxun and sat down to talk to him. “Senior, you have some updates about the matter I entrusted you with the other time?”

“Yes.” Li Junxun nodded. “I’ve customized the prosthetic limb according to the measurements you passed me the other time. It is made with the newest technology currently available. Lu Yan is going to be able to move with much more agility after putting on this prosthetic limb.”

An’an had secretly taken down Lu Yan’s measurements and passed it to Li Junxun, having Li Junxun help her with this matter.

Li Junxun had the newest technology on hand that wasn’t even available locally yet. It was one of the best even internationally. It would be perfect once Lu Yan put on this high-tech prosthetic limb.

“An’an, how is it going between Lu Yan and you?” Li Junxun asked.

An’an smiled. “We’re good.”
