Chapter 1012 - Ah Yan, I’m Pregnant

He wanted her to leave and he would go down to search for her mother.

An’an’s feet felt so heavy, she just couldn’t move.

Boom! A huge flash of lightning appeared in the sky and there was a loud roar of thunder.

A huge storm was approaching rapidly.

“General,” Li Si walked in front and said, “The hurricane is approaching soon, let’s not waste any more time.”

After an intense fight, they had finally caught hold of the confidential secretary and Chen Jin brought the confidential secretary with him to answer to the higher-ups. It was a problem that he had left behind after all.

The Blood Forces were in the Jeeps behind. There were a total of 12 of them, other than Shi Tou, who had been killed three years ago, there wasn’t anyone missing.

The soldier replacing Shi Tou’s spot was named Jian Dao. He was an elite soldier who had to pass multiple examinations prior to joining the Blood Forces. He was a candid and honest man who hadn’t had much experience with women. Jian Dao scratched his head shyly. “Sister-in-law, I’ve never seen a girl as beautiful as you. You’re just like... a fairy.”

Lu Yan went forward, kicking Jian Dao’s butt.

Seeing Jian Dao’s candid ways, the entire Blood Forces started laughing at him. “Jian Dao, you’re not allowed to look at Sister-in-law like that.”

Jian Dao thought to himself, why couldn’t he look at Sister-in-law? Why? He just couldn’t comprehend General’s ways.

Soldiers were the cutest people on earth. An’an had a faint smile on her face, she started laughing.

The thunder roared again, the tree branches around were almost breaking from the strong wind and it started to rain. The storm had come, just as expected.

Fu Qinglun held an umbrella over An’an’s head. He said, “An’an, other than General Lu, no one here is capable of bringing Auntie back. Let’s leave and not distract General Lu.”

It was true that it was the most pragmatic approach.

An’an stood under the umbrella, her body covered with the coat he had given her. Her hands were hidden underneath the coat, the rain was pouring but she had been protected so well, not even a single drop of rain fell on her.

But why, why couldn’t she feel a sense of warmth at all?

She looked in front, Lu Yan had a military green raincoat over his body. The rain was pouring so heavily, it blurred his facial features.

“Young Master Fu, I’ll hand An’an over to your care.” Lu Yan looked at Fu Qinglun.

Fu Qinglun nodded his head. “Don’t worry.”

Lu Yan looked at An’an, seemingly wanting to say something but he didn’t say a word despite moving his lips. He just smiled at her.

He smiled at her in such a gentle way.

An’an suddenly felt her heart aching, as though her chest had split open.

Lu Yan turned around, preparing to leave. He strode away, slowly disappearing before her. An’an’s eyes watered and huge drops of tears started streaming down her face.

She had always thought that she was very brave.

But in actual fact, she wasn’t.

She couldn’t let him go.

“Ah Yan!”

She shouted his name and ran out from under the umbrella. She pounced over, hugging his trim waist from the back.

Lu Yan stopped walking, he reached for her hands and tried to pull them away. “I can’t leave if you continue doing this.”

He sounded so helpless yet loving at the same time as he said that.

“Ah Yan, kneel down and propose to me!” she suddenly said that while sobbing.

Lu Yan was stunned, slowly turning around.

An’an pulled the red string around her neck down, the diamond ring was sparking.

She shoved the red string into his palm. She had no idea whether it was the rain or her tears that blurred her vision. She lifted her head, looking at the man. “Propose to me. Hurry up, do it right now. I’ve waited for so long, I don’t want to wait anymore.”

Lu Yan’s expression turned complex, he was at a loss of what to do with her sudden request. “F*ck!”

The next moment, he held the diamond ring and knelt down on one knee. “An’an, will you marry me? I’ll make sure to do everything to make you happy. If you dare to not agree, watch how I teach you a lesson!”

That was General Lu’s proposal. No honeyed words, all he had was an overbearing attitude.

It was so him.

An’an smiled, tears unconsciously coming out of her eyes. She had frequent dreams of her becoming his wife. She had finally come to an end on this journey. She had finally achieved a happy ending.

“Yes, I do!”

Three simple words, it made her so satisfied with life.

Lu Yan put the ring on her finger.

But An’an retracted her hand, not letting him put it on. “Keep this diamond ring with you, I want you to help me put it on after you come back.”

Lu Yan raised his brows. “That’s fine too.”

He got up, placing the diamond ring in his pocket. “Leave now.”

“Mm, I’m leaving.”

An’an looked at his handsome face, her fingers curling together. She really wished she could run her fingers over his face and caress him, but she didn’t do so.

She turned around, walking in front.

He said, look forward, don’t turn back.

Fu Qinglun personally opened the back door. Lu Yan watched as An’an crouched over, preparing to get in the car.

“Ah Yan,” An’an suddenly called him.

Lu Yan raised his brows, though his expression was solemn, he felt somewhat happy inside. This lass just couldn’t stop wasting time.

He didn’t say anything, but his gaze traveled down as he saw her place her hand on her stomach.

Lu Yan’s heart thumped, his Adam’s apple bobbed.

Why was she touching her stomach?

Could it be that...?

An’an didn’t turn around, she just said softly, “Ah Yan, I forgot to tell you something. I’m pregnant.”

Once she said that, Lu Yan’s pupils dilated and his heart felt like it had stopped. What did she just say?

Pregnant? She was pregnant?

His eyes turned bloodshot and his muscles tensed up, just like pieces of steel. He started running, chasing after her.

“Ah Yan, the baby and I will be waiting for you outside. You must come back.”

An’an got in the car and they sped away.

Lu Yan chased after the car but he hadn’t managed to catch up. He could only see her leave in the car.

F*ck, why didn’t she say it earlier!

She had his baby growing inside of her.

His baby. Their baby.

He spun around on the spot, lifting his hand to slap his head in disbelief. She was pregnant?

They had only spent a few nights together. She was so delicate and dainty, not even willing to let him do it even once more.

But she was pregnant!

He was already 40 years old. He was thinking that it didn’t matter if she couldn’t conceive, it wasn’t that bad to dote on her as if she was his daughter.

He hadn’t expected her to make him so proud.
