Chapter 1034 - The Match Failed

Little Lemon hugged Fu Qinglun’s neck as she sobbed.

The V2 chemotherapy had resulted in Little Lemon losing a lot of weight. She had a striped hospital gown on her, her body so skinny and feeble. Her silky long hair was all gone, a hat taking its place instead. She sniffled, her nose red and she continued shedding huge drops of tears.

Little Lemon wanted Mommy.

Little Lemon loved Mommy.

Little Lemon didn’t want Mommy to forget about her. Little Lemon wanted Mommy to hug her.

Fu Qinglun stroked Little Lemon’s head, comforting her, “Little Lemon, Mommy has been too tired for these three years. You have to get injections and take medicine every single day now, Mommy would hide outside and cry alone. Let’s give Mommy a break, is that okay?”

Little Lemon’s eyes were filled with tears. She lowered her head, the tears streaming down her face endlessly.

Pouting her lips, she wanted to be brave. Though she really yearned for Mommy and wanted Mommy to be by her side really badly, she didn’t say a word anymore.

She knew that Mommy was tired and Mommy was suffering alone all this time.

Fu Qinglun lowered his head, planting a kiss on Little Lemon’s cheek. “No, Daddy promises you that you won’t have no Mommy. Let’s focus on treating your illness first. After you recover, Daddy will take you to find Mommy. Mommy will come back to us.”

Little Lemon thought about it, nodding her head. “Daddy, I promise you that I’ll be really brave and complete the treatment. I don’t want Mommy to cry because of me, but Daddy, you have to promise me that when I recover, you have to take me to look for Mommy.”

Fu Qinglun stretched his pinky out, making the promise with Little Lemon.

Lin Shiyu had taught Little Lemon really well. Little Lemon was a sensible girl at such a young age who knew how to dote on her mommy.

With a fluttering of lashes, she opened her eyes. Looking around at her surroundings, she was at a hospital.

Sitting up, she felt so confused. Why was she at the hospital?

A nurse walked over. “Miss Lin, you came to our hospital to get a checkup because you felt giddy. The results are out, you’re alright. It’s just that you have been more stressed out recently, so remember to get more rest.’

Why couldn’t she remember a thing about it?

Lin Shiyu got down the bed. “Thank you.”

Opening the door, a familiar figure stood outside. It was Tang Mo’er.

Lin Shiyu knitted her brows. She tried so hard to recollect the events, but she just couldn’t remember a thing at all.

“Shiyu, what’s wrong with you?” Tang Mo’er looked at Lin Shiyu with so much concern in her eyes.

Lin Shiyu shook her head. “I’m fine, Mo’er, let’s go.”

“Okay.”

The pair walked along the corridor and when they passed by Little Lemon’s hospital ward, Lin Shiyu suddenly stopped.

She turned back, looking at the ward so dazedly. She couldn’t explain why she even looked, but she just did. For some reason, she was drawn to that ward. Why was it?

“Shiyu, why are you crying?”

Crying?

Lin Shiyu lifted her hand, wiping the corners of her eyes. Hot tears trickled down.

She really was crying.

Why did her heart feel so... painful inside?

She placed her hand on her chest, it felt so empty inside. She felt as though something important had been left out.

‘Forget About Love’ was the theme song for Tang Mo’er’s drama. It was composed and sung by Lin Shiyu.

Lin Shiyu had finally made a comeback in the music industry after fading out for almost four years. Her newest track, ‘Forget About Love’ was so popular, it had become the hottest topic of the entertainment industry.

The limelight and media’s attention was on Lin Shiyu again.

“Ah Sen.” Sikong walked over hurriedly. “Why are you here, I’ve been looking for you urgently.”

Fu Qinglun looked at Sikong. “What’s the matter?”
