Chapter 1166 - Daughter
Young Master Gu, Please Be Gentle
Leave now, Gu Mohan.
Donât get caught in the rain.
Youâll get sick if you stay here.
Donât harm your body.
Youâll make my heart hurt so much.
So, so much.
Tang Moâerâs luscious lashes quivered and luminous tears glided down her cheeks.
Just then, there was a thud as the room door opened. Lu Yeming walked into the room. He stood by Tang Moâerâs side and slowly raised his hand to wipe off Tang Moâerâs tears.
âElder Sister, cry if you want to.â
Tang Moâer could not suppress the misery in her heart. She buried her head in Lu Yemingâs chest and sobbed softly.
Lu Yeming stroked her silky hair. âElder Sister, thereâs no antidote for AR. Why donât you tell him the truth?â
Tang Moâer shook her head. âDonât tell him. Give him... a bit of hope.â
Lu Yeming pursed his thin lips and did not speak further. It was uncertain how much time had passed when they heard the guardâs voice. âSir, what happened to you?â
Gu Mohan had collapsed in the rain.
...
Doctors and nurses were repeatedly entering and leaving the room. Secretary Yan Dong stood by the bed anxiously.
Gu Mohan lay on the bed with his eyes tightly shut. He was having a high fever. President rarely fell ill, but this time he fainted in the rain and his fever was 42 degrees celsius.
He was very ill.
Just then, Gu Mohan moved on the bed. His eyes did not open and he merely moved his lips to say something.
âPresident, what are you saying?â Yan Dong bent down to listen.
âMoâer... Moâer...â
Yan Dong was stunned. President was saying Young Madamâs name.
But Young Madam was not there.
Yan Dong promptly walked out and dialed a number on his cell phone. The phone only rang once before someone picked up the call promptly. âHello.â
Yan Dong had a feeling that Young Madam had been waiting by her phone.
âYoung Madam, President is very ill. His fever is 42 degrees celsius and he has a respiratory tract infection. He hasnât woken yet.â
Tang Moâer immediately gripped her cell phone tightly and her luminous tears streamed down her face relentlessly.
She was utterly heartbroken. Her heart was so painful she felt like dying.
Her Mr Gu was so strong and handsome. His dependable shoulders and composed demeanor could shelter any woman from any harm.
He had never collapsed before.
But now, he was down.
âYoung Madam, when President was unconscious, he kept calling your name. Quickly come and see President.â
See him?
Should she go or not?
Tang Moâer clenched her fists so tightly her knuckles turned white. She hung up the phone and bolted out the door.
She wanted to go and see him.
Nothing would stop her from seeing her Mr Gu.
...
Gu Mohan felt his entire body aching. His throat was so dry and he wanted a drink of water.
He opened his eyes slowly.
His deep and narrow eyes looked pale and sickly. When he looked at the chandelier above his head, he realized a few seconds later that he was in his own room.
âPresident, youâre awake?â Just then, Yan Dongâs voice could be heard.
Gu Mohan sat up with a film of perspiration on his forehead. His lips were so dry that the lines could be seen clearly.
âPresident, Iâll get you some water.â Yan Dong promptly went to take a glass of water and passed it to Gu Mohan.
Gu Mohan knitted his brows deeply. He felt his head spinning and everything was a blur. His high fever had not subsided and every breath of his was hot. Stretching his hand out, he took the glass of water from Yan Dong.
Just then, he heard the maid exclaim in happiness, âMiss Tang, you are here?â
Gu Mohanâs hand froze in mid-air and he heard a gentle voice replying softly. âMm.â
She had come. Moâer had come.
Gu Mohan quickly lifted his blanket and his feet landed on the tailored carpet. He did not even bother to wear his shoes before running out of the room.
âPresident...â
Yan Dong swiftly chased after him. All these years that Yan Dong was with President, this was the first time he had seen the latter being so flustered.
...
Tang Moâer had rushed over in the middle of the night. She could not bear to forsake him and wanted to see how he was.
Just as she was about to go upstairs, she heard a flurry of steady but slightly flustered footsteps. She looked up and saw a tall and handsome figure standing upstairs.
Gu Mohan.
Gu Mohan had come down.
Tang Moâerâs pristine eyes narrowed. He had already woken. Her lovesick eyes were fixated on his handsome face. His dry lips were pursed and the outline of his good-looking face was taut, exuding a cold aura.
Soon after, he walked down the stairs and stood in front of her. His deep and narrow eyes landed on her small face. Gu Mohan stared at her fervently, not daring to blink his eyes for fear that she would disappear before him if he blinked.
He slowly raised his hand to caress her face.
Tang Moâer dug her nails into her palm and forcefully turned her face away from him, not letting him touch her.
Seeing that he had woken, she felt less worried.
She should leave now.
âJust now your secretary called me, saying that you were unconscious, but it turns out that you have already woken. How despicable of you to lie to me!â
Tang Moâer coldly spat out her words and turned around to leave.
But she had barely moved when a large hand reached over and grasped her slender wrist, giving it a vigorous tug. Her delicate body fell immediately against a broad and muscular chest.
Gu Mohan hugged her from behind, burying his handsome face into her neck and deeply inhaling her scent.
Due to his high fever, his voice was hoarse as he murmured, âDonât go... Iâve missed you so much. Moâer... stay with me...â
He murmured hoarsely into her ear.
He was begging, pleading for her to stay.
Tang Moâerâs eyes reddened and tears threatened to spill from her eyes. She raised her head immediately to suppress her tears.
âAre you cold?â His strong arms encircled her svelte waist from behind and his large hand held her delicate one.
Why was her hand so cold? It was devoid of any warmth.
âIâll go warm up a glass of milk for you. Stay here and donât move,â he instructed her before releasing her and running into the kitchen.
Tang Moâer looked at his handsome back and her eyes shifted down to his feet.
He was barefooted.
Her delicate nose became red and she had to muster all her strength to stop herself from crying.
Very soon after, Gu Mohan emerged from the kitchen holding a glass of warm milk. He passed the glass of warm milk to her. âMoâer, for you.â
Tang Moâer sniffed, raised her hand and hit the glass of milk onto the floor. The milk splashed onto his feet and wet his trousers.
Gu Mohanâs hand froze in mid-air and his gaze was fixated on her small face.
Was he angry?
Tang Moâer hoped fervently that he was angry and that he would not treat her so well again.
Just then, Gu Mohan raised his hand and gently squeezed her ravishing face. He curved his thin lips and his hoarse voice was tinged with playfulness and adoration as he admonished her, âLittle wretch.â
Tears instantly welled up in her eyes when she heard these words. She raised her hand and slapped his palm away.
Then she turned around to leave. At that moment that she turned around, her tears fell.
Iâm sorry, Mr Gu...
Iâm so sorry...
Just then, there was a dull sound, followed by the maidâs shocked cry. âSir!â
Tang Moâer turned around to see Gu Mohan lying unconscious on the carpet.
He had fainted again.
...
Gu Mohan lay on the soft bed in the room while Tang Moâer sat beside him. She raised her hand to touch his forehead which was scorching hot. This fool. His high fever had not subsided and he still even ran downstairs barefooted to look for her.
He had even fainted twice in front of her within a day. How lousy.
Tang Moâer placed a wet towel on his forehead to lower his temperature. As her gentle fingers caressed his handsome features, they glided down from his eyebrows, down his high nose-bridge and across his thin lips.
Just then, a teardrop from her eyes fell onto his dry lips. She promptly stretched her hand out to dry it for him.
The unconscious Gu Mohan felt his body heat up. His mouth was so dry and he felt an extreme thirst.
At that moment, something soft touched his lips and he immediately stretched his palm out.
He grasped the back of Tang Moâerâs head and pushed it downwards to him. Immediately, her red lips were planted on his thin lips.
Tang Moâer froze.
Gu Mohan captured her soft lips and soon later, he slipped in his long tongue through her clenched teeth, ravenously devouring her delectable sweetness.
She tasted so sweet and she satiated his needs.
He kissed her fervently, passionately.
Tang Moâer did not expect that he would kiss her. His handsome face was in close proximity to her, and her heart softened. Her luscious lashes quivered and she clutched the shirt at his chest, kissing him back.
Her initiative only served to deepen the kiss. Gu Mohan tugged her down, pulling her to the bed.
Even in his feverish state, he rolled over and pinned her delicate body beneath him, kissing her relentlessly.
Gradually, his kisses trailed downwards to her neck...
Tang Moâer instantly became sober in the midst of passion and desire. He was still having a high fever. How could he be doing such things?
âGu Mohan, let go of me!â
âMoâer...â he groaned out in a hoarse voice.
Tang Moâerâs body went soft and limp. She was unable to reject him at all as her body yearned for him too. Both of them had not been intimate for... Was it one month or two or three? Every day felt like torture without him.
âNo, we canât, Gu Mohan,â she rejected him in a soft voice.
âMoâer, letâs try for a daughter.â
He grasped her delicate hand and his fingers interlocked her delicate fingers.
Try for a daughter.
She knew that he wanted a daughter very much. Truth be told, she wanted one very much too.
Shiyu and Anâan both had sons and daughters.
But her body could not get pregnant now as she did not even know how long more she could live.
âWe canât, youâre still having a fever. Gu Mohan, if you continue to do this, I will be angry... Ah!â
Gu Mohan captured her soft, red lips again and began to undo his belt.
Was he dreaming?
If it was a dream, then it must be a good dream. This time, he must have a daughter with her.
...
One hour later.
Gu Mohan drifted off to sleep. Little beads of perspiration dotted his muscular body and his fever seemed to have finally subsided.
