Chapter 1337 - Finale (3)
Young Master Gu, Please Be Gentle
City Hall.
The couple in front of them left and Gu Mohan and Tang Moâer went forward.
The officer was a middle-aged lady and she looked at them and asked, âAre you here to get married or to get a divorce?â
Tang Moâer held Gu Mohanâs hand, their fingers interlocking as she smiled sweetly. âWeâre here to get married.â
The middle-aged lady handed them two forms. âOnce youâre ready, you can sign here and youâll be legally married.â
Gu Mohan and Tang Moâer picked up their pens at the same time. Looking at the woman beside him, he squeezed her hand and asked, âMoâer, are you ready?â
Was she ready? Tang Moâer put her signature downâ-Tang Moâer.
Then she looked at the man, raising her brows. âMr Gu, hurry up and sign it. You donât have any way out of this anymore!â
Chuckling, Gu Mohan put his signature down on the paper. The two submitted the form to the woman.
âOkay, everything seems to be in order. You can go over to take the photograph now.â
So the pair went over to take the photograph. Leaning up, Tang Moâer helped Gu Mohan straighten his collar. âThe photograph on our marriage certificate was photoshopped, right? I want to take a beautiful photograph this time.â
Gu Mohan held her slim waist, sitting down on the chair as he put on a serious face. âMrs Gu is always the most beautiful.â
This man was great at honeyed words!
âPlease look over here. One. Two. Three.â
This was Tang Moâerâs first time taking a wedding photograph and she was excited yet nervous at the same time. She looked in the lens, showing a beautiful smile.
Just as the photographer was about to press on the shutter when Gu Mohan suddenly leaned over, kissing her cheek.
Click. He was photographed right in the act.
Stunned, Tang Moâerâs face instantly turned a bright red. Balling her hands into fists, she pummeled Gu Mohan. âHey, what are you doing?â
Gu Mohan didnât say anything, he just hugged her.
Pfft.
The other couples present all chuckled, they could easily sense the sweetness between Gu Mohan and Tang Moâer.
The middle-aged lady patted the table, her expression stern as she warned them, âPlease be more serious, youâre taking your wedding photograph now. You have all the time in the world after this.â
Feeling as though she had just eaten honey, Tang Moâer felt really sweet inside.
...
Half an hour later.
Gu Mohan held Tang Moâerâs hand as they left the City Hall together. Tang Moâer looked at the two red booklets in her hands, their wedding photograph was inside the booklets.
In the photograph, he sat beside her and they both wore white shirts. She had a pretty smile while he was handsome. They both looked good and looking at the photograph put a smile on her face.
âMrs Gu, youâve been looking at it for almost half an hour, isnât it enough?â Gu Mohan ruffled her hair affectionately.
Ever since they collected their marriage certificate, Tang Moâer looked at it over and over again, like a curious baby, or rather, a little girl with her favorite toy.
Tang Moâer carefully placed the booklets in her purse, holding his arm affectionately. âHusband.â
She called him that with a sensual voice.
Gu Mohan had to restrain himself from turning his head to look at her when he heard her call him âHusbandâ. The corners of his lips unknowingly kicked up but he quickly went back to a normal expression. âMm.â
He merely answered with that one sound.
Tang Moâer continued calling him, âHusband.â
âHm?â
âHusband.â
She continued calling him husband, again and again, giving him goosebumps. âMy soul is almost going to come out after hearing you call me that.â
He stretched his hand out to hold her.
âAh!â
Tang Moâer jumped away naughtily. âHusband, husband, husband...â
She ran away.
âLittle rascal, your skin is itching, isnât it!â
He went to chase after her.
Tang Moâer only ran a few steps before he chased up to her, holding her in his arms and she giggled.
âHubby, you have a wife, a son and a daughter now. You have to live to a ripe old age and protect us. Youâre our sky, we cannot do without you.â
As Gu Mohan buried his face in her silky hair, he took in her fragrance as he nodded. âOkay.â
...
In the hospital.
The doctor was walking along the corridor when he suddenly heard a voice. âDoctor.â
The doctor turned around to look. âOh, itâs Mrs Gu.â
Tang Moâer looked at the doctor, smiling at him politely. âDoctor, I can sign the papers now. I am now Mrs Gu.â
The doctor was stunned, slowly straightening his back as tears welled up inside his eyes.
...
At night.
Tang Moâer went back home and personally cooked a pot of millet porridge to bring to the hospital. Once she pushed open the door, she saw the doctor inside the ward too.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
The doctor held the report in his hands, seemingly reporting the results to Gu Mohan.
Thump. Tang Moâerâs heart palpitated, she put the thermos flask down and her gaze was on the report. âAre the results out yet? How is it? It is benign, right?â
Her voice was shaky and her heart jumped wildly, almost leaping out of her chest.
The doctor looked at Gu Mohan, not saying a word.
âYou may leave,â Gu Mohan said.
âYes.â
The doctor stepped out of the ward.
Tang Moâer had an ominous feeling. They both hadnât spoken at all, that meant that the results werenât positive.
As she stood beside his bed, her lashes were fluttering as she looked at him. âHow is it, tell me about it.â
Gu Mohan held her hand, his expression solemn. âYou have to be mentally prepared.â
âJ-Just hurry up and say it.â
âIt is... benign.â
Benign.
The word seemed to sear into Tang Moâerâs mind. Her eyes reddened and tears trickled down her cheeks nonstop. Flinging his hand away, she immediately turned around to leave.
âMoâer!â
Seeing the intensity of her reaction, Gu Mohan was momentarily shocked. He instantly lifted the blanket, jumping off the bed and he chased after her. âWhatâs wrong?â
Tang Moâer started pummeling him and kicking him, crying so badly. âWhy did you lie to me... I was so scared... I was really scared...â
Gu Mohanâs heart ached but he was touched at the same time, pulling her into his arms and he hugged her tightly. âOkay, okay, itâs my fault. I was wrong, please donât cry. If you continue crying, my heart will ache until I die.â
âYouâre not allowed to mention death!â
Tang Moâer was furious, stomping her feet as she covered his mouth, not letting him say anything more.
Gu Mohanâs eyes glinted as he watched her being furious, yet crying at the same time. She did all of this for him. His gaze was all over her and he couldnât help himself but grab her hands, kissing her red lips.
But Tang Moâer was still angry with him. She squirmed, resisting him while she was in his arms. âDonât kiss me! Who said you can kiss me!â
Holding onto her slim waist, Gu Mohan let out a chuckle. âMrs Gu, have you forgotten what occasion it is tonight?â
Tang Moâer froze.
Gu Mohan lifted her up, carrying her over his shoulders. He opened the door to the hospital ward and strode inside. âLetâs go home, itâs our wedding night!â
