An’an batted her long eyelashes before looking at the man beside her from the corner of her eyes. “Will you get married in the future?”

Lu Yan smoked his cigarette impassively without revealing any emotions, before he gave An’an a glance and a faint smile. “How can a man not get married? Do you really wish for me to spend my last years alone?”

An’an pouted her lips and she didn’t reply.

Mr Meissen skilfully changed the topic. “Let’s hold a party to celebrate us kissing our ‘single’ statuses goodbye. C’mon, let’s just get high and play around. How about the men sit on one side while the women would sit on the opposite side. When the beer bottle spins and points at the two people, the woman has to whisper by the man’s ear... Hubby. How about it?”

“Let’s do it!!!” Everyone quickly piped in and supported Mr Meissen.

The men and women hurriedly split up and the women sat opposite the men.

Almost immediately, the beer bottle started to spin before it eventually stopped and pointed at An’an.

An’an looked up and realized that the other end of the beer bottle was pointing at Mr Meissen’s nephew, Maidou.

Maidou was 20 years old and was still a college student. He had noticed An’an at first glance and since An’an was a beauty who had looks capable of destroying a city, he was utterly captivated. Many men in the room were coveting her and everyone was still in the queue to gain her attention.

Everyone was in line, eagerly awaiting for her to grow up and see who she would belong to.

Maidou’s heart palpitated, his gaze landing in her direction. He couldn’t believe his luck. The girl of his dreams would come over and call him Hubby.

Just the thought alone made his groin twitch in anticipation.

Mr Meissen had figured out his nephew’s inner thoughts long ago and he laughed. “Miss An’an, you have to address Maidou as ‘Hubby’.”

An’an didn’t move, her cold eyes looking right at Lu Yan.

Mr Meissen also had his eyes on Lu Yan. “Master Yan, it seems Miss An’an is still waiting for your approval. She’ll only have the guts to call someone else ‘Hubby’ if you approve. What do you think? Shouldn’t you speak up?”

Lu Yan supported himself with one elbow on the table as he continued to smoke a cigarette, slowly exhaling a steady stream of smoke.

He made eye contact with An’an’s beautiful eyes in the haze before he tacitly approved. “Hm, go ahead.”

“Miss An’an, did you hear that? You’ve gotten Master Yan’s approval.”

An’an’s beautiful eyes instantly welled up and her hands formed into two balled fists. He wanted her to call some other man ‘Hubby’?

A few moments later, she stood up and walked towards Maidou.

Lu Yan had stayed in his seat while he had a cigarette in his mouth. He could see her walking beside Maidou from the corner of his eye. She bent down and his handsome face didn’t seem to have much of an expression. However, his distinct facial features showed a trace of darkness.

This brutal man had learned to manage his image by wearing formal wear. Since he had put on collared shirts and trousers, many had since been fooled by his refined looks. They had simply forgotten his ruthlessness from his former days.

He had shown a trace of gloominess on his handsome face and his strong, menacing aura revealed his shaken calm. In his line of sight he could see her in her white dress as she bent down leaning closer and closer to the 20 year old adolescent’s shoulder, her lips too close as she whispered those intimate words into his ear.

In an instant, the boy’s face flushed red and the tips of his ears seared as if burnt.

Looking at the two, they were both youthful and indeed matched each other well.
