Win

Election day. Maria had done well. Her polls were up but, she knew that could always change. It was 2:30pm and she was in the office with the campaign manger. "Jeff, we have five hours until we know if I won."

"You will. You've done so much and like you said the polls are looking good."

Maria hated this part of every election she has been in. The countless hours spent in waiting on results that could be the start of something great or the end of it all. Without a word she walked away from him. She needed to be alone. She went to her office shutting the door and leaning her head against it.

"I guess this is a bad time." Came a smooth velvety voice. Maria turned and a smile came across her face.

"Nic!" Her voice full of excitement.

*FLASHBACK*

"Nicole do you have to leave?" Maria and Nicole had been together now for four months.  They hadn't made any major moves but Maria wanted Nicole there for the election.

"Yes. I will be back. It's only training ."

Maria walked away with a pout on her face. Nicole grabbed her wrist.  She wrapped her arms around her pulling her close. "I will be back. I promise." She placed a soft kiss on Maria's lips.

They pulled apart when the cab pulled up, beeping the horn. Nicole grabbed Her bag slinging it over her shoulder. She kissed Maria once more and left.

*END*

"I thought that you weren't coming my back for another week?"

"Well, I told the team that we needed to focus so I could get back to you early." Nicole wrapped her arms around Maria's waist. "I had to be here when you won. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

All Maria could do was smile. Nicole was amazing. But, she knew their time was limited until Nicole left to go back to war. It scared her. She wrapped her arms around Nicole's neck holding her. Remembering every inch of her body.

"I missed you." She said breathlessly.

"I missed you too." Nicole said.

"Can we get out of here. I just want to be with you."

Nicole looked down at Maria, "Whatever you want."

Maria reluctantly let go of Nicole and grabbed her things. Nicole watched as Maria gathered her things. 'Man, I don't want to leave her. She's so...perfect. I love her more than anything.'

"Nic, I said are you ready?"

"Yes, sorry. I just got caught up in perfection."

"Really Nicole Reese, perfection?'

"Yes. You are perfect to me and anyone who can't see how amazing you are just needs their head checked."

Nicole wrapped her arm around Maria's waist and they headed to Nicole's house.

"Are you hungry?" Maria asked as Nicole sat on the couch. The month she had been away she missed just lying here with Maria in her arms. The hours they spent just talking. She wanted more than just the occasional sleepover. She wanted to wake to Maria in her arms every morning. Holding her tight every night.

Nicole stood and followed Maria to the kitchen. "Move in with me." She said her eyes locking with Maria's.

"What?" Maria asked, not sure if she had heard Nicole correctly.

"Move in with me. I hate not seeing you every morning and holding you every night. I want to be able to have you here with me everyday. If..."

Maria's face lit up with excitement. "Of course I'll move in with you."

"Really?"

Maria walked to Nicole and kissed her passionately. The kiss soon became more frantic. Maria started to undo the buttons on Nicole's shirt. She pulled it down over the strong arms. Nicole unzipped her dress and let it pool at her feet. She moved her hand along Maria's thighs. Maria felt the soft hands firmly hug her ass. A moan escaped her lips.

Nicole kissed down her neck,just as she was working on her bra, a knock on the door interrupted them.

"Damn it." Groaned Nicole.

Maria sighed. The knock came again. "Nic go get it. I have to put on clothes!" Maria said in a huff.

Nicole watched as Maria grabbed her discarded clothes and her shirt. She laughed at how flustered she was.

Nicole opened the door. "Nic you're back!!" Jesse yelled.

"Do you always have to ruin everything?"

"What? I just got here."

"That's the problem."

Jesse laughed and pushed pass Nicole.

"Well I thought your girl was still waiting on her results."

Nicole rolled her eyes. 'No and had you not popped up I could have had her beautiful body under mine. Withering for me to..'

"Hi Jesse." Maria said. She had put on some jeans and one of Nicole's white t-shirts. Nicole looked at her, the shirt was loose on Maria.

'She's just so sexy. I just want to cater to her. Make every wish come true.'

"Nic, I said congratulations." Jesse said pulling Nicole from her thoughts.

"For what?"

"Well if you focused on what me and the lovely lady were talking about you'd know. Moving in is a big step."

Nicole just smiled. Maria was her life and she loved her so much. Which was weird considering how Maria first treated her.

After Jesse came, more and more people showed up at Nicole's....well their house. It turned into a party waiting on the results.

Nicole was able to pull Maria away from the crowd as they continued to mingle.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Come here."

Nicole pulled Maria into the garage. She unlocked the doors and motioned for Maria to get in the truck. They pulled out and headed towards the beach a little ways from the house.

"Nic, what are we doing here?"

Nicole said nothing as she laid a blanket in the hatchback. She picked Maria up sitting her on it.

"I haven't seen you in a month. Jesse ruined it and with all those people at the house I didn't want them to hear you."

"Hear me what?"Maria asked confused.

Nicole moved hovering over her lips. "Moan my name. Over and over."

Maria felt the heat between her legs. She kissed Nicole, wrapping her arms around her neck. A moan escaped her lips and she felt Nicole undoing her pants. She closed her eyes and threw her head back, enjoying everything Nicole was doing.

****ONR HOUR LATER****

"Where were you two?" Nicole's mother asked.

Nicole looked to Maria, a sly smile on her face. "The beach."

"The beach? What were you doing...you know I don't want to know." Her mother said.

"Come on they're starting!"

They all sat in the living room. The reports were coming in slowly. Maria was behind and big time. Hanes, her opponent leaf by 56 votes. Once they finished the westside votes the east started to come in. Maria's votes started to sky rocket. She was now leading with 256 votes.

As it neared the end a reporter came onto the tv. "Ladies and gentlemen,our new governor and possibly the best person for the job... Maria Santiago!"

The room filled with cheers. Nicole kissed Maria. Maria felt tears. 'Finally after all this time my life is finally perfect.'

They continued to celebrate. Maria had so many calls she didn't know what to do. Soon the party died and the house became empty, excluding Nicole, her parents, grandparents and of course Jesse.

Maria and Nicole were in their bed, Nicole holding Maria.

"I'm so proud of you. I knew you could do it."

Maria smiled and turned facing Nicole. "Thank you. For everything. You've made me the happiest woman alive. I love you."

"I love you too."

They fell asleep. Maria forgetting in that moment Nicole left in a week and Nicole forgetting her fear of leaving this amazing woman behind.
