Simone raised an eyebrow and retorted, âSo, youâre eager to announce to the world that youâre my ex-
boyfriend? Go ahead.
Leonâs frustration was mounting. âIâve said it before: I donât agree to break up.â He had never even
considered breaking up with her, let alone agreeing.
She rolled her eyes dismissively. âWhether you agree or not is irrelevant. Iâve already decided to part
ways. With a touch of impatience, she continued, âYou and Aaron are becoming a real nuisance. Canât
you just give me some peace?â
He was persistent. âTalk to me privately, and Iâll leave you in peace.â He believed that talking things
through was the key to bridging the gap between them. However, the moment Zac approached, Leon
sensed a looming crisis.
Simone shook her head in response. âIf youâve come here to ask me to delete that recording, thereâs
not need.â
Leonâs face underwent a subtle change when he heard her words. He hadnât expected-Simone to know
that Jodie had come to ask him for help in deleting the recording.
She kept her unwavering gaze on the man, finding his momentary unease quite amusing. In her
previous life, this would have been agonizing for her. But now, she either loved or hated him. She
asked, âLeon, Iâm starting to agree with what Zac said during the day. Are you holding a grudge against
me?*
He took a deep breath. âI didnât come to talk to you just about this.â He wanted to clear up the
misunderstanding and reconcile with her. Of course, he also wanted her to delete the recording, or at
least not make it public.
She looked at him coldly. âYouâre making me sick now.â
His expression changed again. âSimone, please, can we stop this?â He couldnât help but ponder, Why
canât she sit and talk properly? Why does she have to make a scene, embarrassing everyone and
saying such hurtful things?
Simone hated hearing the phrase, âPlease, can we stop this.â She chided. âYouâre becoming more like
the Gray Family. Why donât you seek psychological help? Donât come to me for attention.â With that,
she pulled Keira and continued walking forward.
Leon was determined to talk to Simone today and wanted to step forward to stop her.
Just then, Zac walked over from the side. He approached the two women as if he hadnât noticed Leon.
He smiled at Simone and asked, âSimone, are we making breakfast ourselves tomorrow morning, or
are we going to a villagerâs house to join them?â
Simone returned the smile and asked, âIs there something specific youâd like to eat?â
His eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. âDoes that mean I can place an order?â
She replied, âSure, as long as itâs something I know how to make.â
Zac didnât hesitate and said, âIâd love to have pierogi.â

Simone agreed, âAlright, Iâll make pierogi for you tomorrow morning.
Zac gently pushed Leon aside, saying. âGreat, then call me, and Iâll get up early to help.â
She nodded at him. âAlright!â She waved and said, âWeâre heading back to our room. You should get
some rest, too.â
Zac bid them goodnight. As he had intentionally stood in Leonâs way, there was little Leon could do but
watch Simone depart.
When Simone returned to her room, Leon glared at Zac coldly. âInterfering too much isnât a good habit.â
Zac raised an eyebrow, retorting, âLeon, being persistently intrusive isnât a commendable habit either.
Simone is already repulsed by you, and yet you persist in getting closer. Why are you so insistent?â He
hadnât intentionally eavesdropped on their conversation. He had merely exited the bathroom at an
opportune moment, and the three of them had been standing there.
What he hadnât expected was for Simone and Leon to have reconciled. He scrutinized Leon, sensing a
certain unsavory quality about him.
Thankfully, Simone had ended her relationship with him, but Zac was puzzled by the situation. Leon did
not intend to break up, so why did he oppose Simone? It was evident to anyone that Simone had. no
affection for Jodie. Leon had chosen another woman over his girlfriend, so why did he seek to reconcile
with Simone?
Leonâs expression grew even colder as he declared. âThe matters between Simone and me are none of
your concern.â
Zac smirked and challenged, âAnd who do you think you are?â He assumed a provocative stance,
crossing his arms over his chest. âIâll mind it, no problem. Are you planning to confront me?â Simone
had been his savior, and he couldnât stand by and watch her being dragged into a problematic situation.
âYou!â Leon faced an unprecedented level of irrationality and audacity. He looked uncertainly at Zac
and asked, âDo you have some hidden agenda with Simone?â
Zac, who wasnât the type to always defend women, especially not in every situation, pondered for a
moment before asking. âDoes offering oneself in return for a lifeâsaving favor count as having ulterior
motives?â
Surprisingly, this explanation didnât seem entirely implausible.
Leonâs gaze grew even colder. âZac, Simone is not someone you u can have ulterior motives about.
Please stop with these inappropriate thoughts.â
Zac had consistently supported Simone since the beginning of the show, standing up against Aaron
and his sister. Now, Leon finally understood why. It appeared that Zac had developed inappropriate.
feelings for Simone, which was incredibly frustrating for Leon.
Zac couldnât help but let out a disdainful laugh. With a hint of provocation, he patted Leonâs shoulder
and quipped. âAs an exâboyfriend, you need not worry about this. After saying this, he simply walked
away, not bothering to continue the conversation with someone whose mind was clearly confused.
