Chapter 32
Forgive Us, My Dear Sister (The Miraculous Simone Gray)
Chapter 32 Happiness Is All Relative
Simone assisted the teenager with their homework, and soon, two more children came seeking
guidance. She patiently answered all their questions.
The teaching provided by others was commendable, and the children in the village cherished this rare
learning opportunity, studying earnestly. Of course, there were some amusing incidents during the
lessons, most of which were caused by Zac.
After two hours, the children left the yard, only to return a while later, bearing meat, vegetables, and
fruits prepared by their families as gifts for Simone and the others.
She held a jar of sauerkraut given by the teenagerâs grandmother. She smiled and said, âHow about we
have sauerkraut fish for dinner?â
Zac and the others nodded eagerly: âSure. That sounds great!â
She then went into the kitchen to prepare sauerkraut fish.
Two men offered to help gut the fish, but their efforts were clumsy. Simone didnât mind, though. After
they gutted the fish, Keira washed it, and Simone expertly sliced it with precision.
Eric couldnât help but be amazed. âSimone, your knife skills are incredible.â
Zac leaned over, grabbed a few pieces, and examined them. âImpressive!â
Keira also stared at Simone with starry eyes. âYour knife skills are on par with a chefâs
Simone smiled at the three of them. âI specialized in it before.â Then, she began marinating the fish,
with the other three assisting.
Given that the two fish sent by the farmers during the day were quite large, Simone sought opinions
from the others and decided to make them all into sauerkraut fish. They also prepared a pot of rice.
At this moment, Leon and the others had just finished their work outside. A tempting aroma wafted into
their noses as they walked to the yard.
Leyla smelled the aroma and couldnât help but ask, âWhat delicious dish is the other group making?â
She only had one dumpling in the morning, and the lunch at the farmerâs house was mediocre, so she
didnât eat much. She suddenly felt famished.
After catching the scent, Jodie felt uneasy, knowing Simone was responsible for this enticing aroma. âI
donât know,â she replied. She asked considerately, âWhat do you want to eat tonight? I can cook.â
Leyla, her hunger growing, boldly expressed, âI want to eat whatever theyâre making right now.â
Although Jodieâs smile seemed forced initially, she quickly returned to her usual pleasant demeanor.
She responded thoughtfully, âSure, Iâll check it out later. If I know how to make it, Iâll cook it for you.â
She enthusiastically added, âEven if I donât know, I can ask the production team and watch cooking
tutorial videos to learn.â
Leyla wanted to express her skepticism, but she reluctantly forced a smile and said, âThank you for

your hard work.â
Leon felt a pang in his heart, recognizing the aroma of Simoneâs cooking. He listened to the
conversation and looked at Jodie expectantly, saying, âWeâll rely on you for dinner.â
Jodie replied sweetly, âNo problem. Leave it to me.â
âDo you think Jojo can make sauerkraut fish?â
âShe probably can. Didnât she say that she could learn from cooking videos?â
I mean, can she recreate the taste of Simoneâs sauerkraut fish?â
âThat might be challenging. Simoneâs sauerkraut fish looked delicious even through the screen.â
âExactly. I wanted to lick the screen when Simone was cooking just now.
âSimoneâs culinary skills are excellent. You can tell just by watching her knife skills and preparation.â
It might be difficult for Jodie if she wants to achieve that level.
âHow do you all know that Jojo might be unable to do it?â
Exactly. Sheâs not inferior to Simone.
Jojo specifically learned how to cook before coming to this show.â
âStop looking down on her.
âYes. Jojo is amazing. Her brother is still stuck in the bathroom right now.â
Fans of Aaron and Jodie were left speechless.
On the other side, Leon and the others entered, their eyes immediately drawn to Zac and his group
sitting in the yard, busily savoring their fish dish. Simone ate her portion slowly, savoring each bite,
while the others appeared unable to restrain themselves.
Keira said with a satisfied expression, âThis sauerkraut fish is so delicious.â
Looking up from his meal, Zac added enthusiastically, âThis is the most delicious sauerkraut fish Iâve
ever had.â He gave Simone a thumbs up. âEven better than what a chef would make.â
Eric complimented, âI usually donât enjoy fish, but I canât stop eating this.â
The group hadnât expected Simoneâs culinary skills to be this exceptional, and her response was
humble, âAs long as you like it.â
You can imagine how delicious the sauerkraut fish is. Even Zachy, who has a picky palate, canât stop
eating.
âEric doesnât like fish much, but heâs eating it this time and has had several bowls.
âKeira has also abandoned her ladylike demeanor and is feasting on the fish.â

Iâm getting hungry; Iâll make a bowl of sauerkraut noodles to cat with their fish.â
âSimone is so amazing!
Observing the others savoring their meal, Leyla couldnât help but feel even hungrier. She turned to
Jodie and asked, âThey are eating sauerkraut fish. Can you make it, Jo?â Although she doubted Jodieâs
cooking skills, Leylaâs craving for the dish was undeniable.
Jodic nodded, saying, âI happen to have learned how to make sauerkraut fish.â She added, âBut we
donât have fish and sauerkraut. We need to buy some from the villagers.â
They were paid directly for their work today, earning $6 per person.
Leon said, âIâll go buy it.â He was enticed by the aroma and also anticipated tasting the appetizing
sauerkraut fish.
Shortly after, the four devoured the two fish dishes on the table. Zac and Eric soaked their rice in the
sauerkraut fish soup.
Zac slumped in his chair, patting his stomach, expressing. âI havenât been this full in a long time.â
Eric said, smiling, âI rarely eat so much until Iâm stuffed.â
Keira enthusiastically nodded, âMe too.â Looking at Simone, she inquired, âSimone, what dish should
we cook tomorrow?â
Simone smiled and said, âWhatever you want to cat, Iâll make it for you tomorrow,â
Overwhelmed with appreciation, Keira hugged Simoneâs arm and exclaimed, âAh! Simone, youâre so
good!â
Zac joined in, smiling. âSimone, youâre spoiling us.â
Eric chuckled and agreed, âItâs really fortunate to be in the same group as Simone. Eric felt grateful that
he hadnât ended up in the group with a famous celebrity who was still dealing with the aftermath
of diarrhea.
Zac added meaningfully, âSo, happiness is all relative.â
Just then, Leon returned with the fish and sauerkraut and happened to overhear their conversation. He
looked at Simone with envy, unable to understand why she seemed to dote on Zac so much. If it
werenât for the live broadcast, he would have rushed over to Simone and urged her to cook for him in
the kitchen.
As his thoughts wandered. Jodie emerged from the kitchen. âMr. Foster, youâre back,â she greeted. She
glanced at Simone in the yard, briskly walked over, and took the fish and vegetables from Leonâs hand.
âWe wanted to eat fish, so you went to buy it. Youâve worked hard,â she said, intentionally trying to
provoke Simone. Jodie wanted to make it clear that Leon was eager to fulfill her desires, emphasizing
Simoneâs seemingly lesser significance in his life.
Unfortunately for Jodie, Simone appeared unfazed and didnât even spare her a glance. Jodie couldnât
help but feel slightly disappointed, wondering if Simoneâs calm demeanor was just an act.
