Chapter 47

47. Fight

Ghosts Of The Past [BoyxBoy] ✓

We ended up forgetting about homework since we were so busy.. well, you know. It's past ten and we're still scribbling away.

Sky's still wearing my shirt. And I have to admit, it looks better on him than it does on me. Then I think it's really unfair that he has so many of my shirts and what not and I have nothing of his.

It's not like his shirt would really fit me so that's off the list. I look around. I get an idea.

"Give me your socks." I say.

Sky frowns. "What?" He chuckles.

"You heard me. Give me your socks. You owe them to me."

"When have I ever stolen your socks?" He lays down his pencil.

"You're wearing my shirt." I point out.

He looks down. "Really?"

"Yeah, and you probably have a hundred more. Now, I think it's only fair if I get some of your socks as payment."

Sky pulls away with an amused smile on his face. "My socks aren't worth half as much as even one of your shirts." He crosses his arms.

"That's my business."

"Okay." Sky laughs and gets up from the chair.

That's when the bell rings.

He makes his way to the door and opens it.

"Chase!"

"Sky!" Chase grabs Sky and pulls him into a tight hug.

I don't like the way he says his name. I don't like the way he holds him either. I get up.

"You're so dramatic." Sky says when Chase has let go.

"I'm not. I'm just happy to see you." He smiles.

"Uh.. Aron's here." Sky says awkwardly as he steps aside for Chase to come in.

Chase's face goes from happy to annoyed in about .3 seconds when he sees me.

I smirk.

He rolls his eyes.

"What's he doing here?" He asks, trying to be quiet.

"Homework." Sky answers, closing the door and getting back to our table.

Yeah, homework. And we just banged like twice but anyway.

"Do you want a drink?" Sky asks, heading to the kitchen.

"Sure. Tea will be fine."

"Wimp." I say under my breath.

"What was that?" Chase turns to me.

"The truth." I answer matter of factly.

"Oh, yeah? You wanna hear the truth about you?" Chase steps forward.

"Can you guys just stop? I'm too tired for this." Sky says.

I decide to be the bigger person and back off.

"Aron? Drink?"

"Beer." I say, giving Chase a look.

Come on, that was harmless.

Chase rolls his eyes again.

Man, I just wanna punch him. Just once. Real bad, in the nose.

Or maybe twice. Or I could just knock him out. Once, just one knockout.

Chase looks highly uncomfortable now. Guess I was staring. Whoops.

"Here you go, Chase." Sky hands Chase a tea.

"Thank you." He smiles.

Ugh, he's so annoying!

Sky hands me a beer and clinks his to mine. "Cheers." He says as he sits down across from me.

I nod to him and start drinking.

"So, what brings you here?" Sky asks while scribbling something down.

"Um.." Chase looks kind of nervous now. He looks at me for a second.

"Just wanted to see you. How's Rose?" He asks.

"Fine. She's been asleep all day. You can go see her if you want." Sky doesn't even look up as he says this.

I look at Chase. He's dying for Sky's attention and highly disappointed he's not getting any. I smile at this. But at the same time I know what it feels like. I know how much it sucks.

Then again, I actually love Sky. This pathetic idiot doesn't even know what love is.

I look at Sky. He's looking down at the book and biting his pencil. It gives me major flashbacks to one of the first conversations we had.

He looks so serious. Not a frowning kind of serious but a 'I'm a scholar and I'm really smart' kind of serious. It's hot.

I love his nose. It's so pretty, smooth. Also, it lets him breathe so there's that.

Why are my thoughts so pathetic?

"Aron.." Sky says without looking up.

"Hm?"

"You're zoning out." He looks up at me.

Yeah that's because you're kinda distracting.

"Right." I look at my notes and try to focus.

I can hear Chase's teeth clenching from a mile away.

After we finished, Sky, Chase and I watched a movie (during which Sky fell asleep on my shoulder, Chase growled). After that, Chase and I went home. I thought that might be the time to finally punch him but I decided against it. Sky would probably get mad.

It's the next day now during lunch break and I'm thinking I might have to tell Sky how I feel. That I don't wanna be his fuck-buddy but his boyfriend. I might just end up making an ass of myself since he seems to love Loren but.. It can't hurt to try, right? He does seem to like being around me.. He dated me before. He told me he loved me so.. Maybe he still does?

I'm sitting outside with the guys. Sky should be coming any minute now.

I spot him, coming from the school wearing a big red graphic sweater, blue distressed jeans and red vans.

Red looks good on him. I've never seen him in red. I've only seen him with red when he was laying on my car that time.. My body heats up as I think through that memory.

Surprisingly he doesn't go to us. He keeps walking towards the parking lot.

There he's met by a bunch of.. Well.. weirdos, quite frankly.

He goes and hugs a brown haired guy and a goth girl in a black hoodie.

..Who are these people?

Upon closer inspection I remember brunette guy from Starbucks. Howard was his name, if I remember correctly.

When did he get such weird friends?

"What are those?" Jimmy remarks with his nose scrunched up. He looks disgusted.

All the other guys look in Sky's direction now and start talking.

"See, I told you guys. Sky got weird after he knocked Loren up. Actually.. he got weird when he started sucking dick." He laughs.

"Dude," Shawn pushes him.

I shoot Jimmy a glare.

Then I look back at Sky.

He's talking to his friends.

I miss him. My heart aches to be with him. Maybe I should just go over there..

Before I get the chance he waves them goodbye and they drive off. He turns around and comes in our direction.

I perk up unthinkingly as my heart beats out of my chest.

Then Loren swoops in and he smiles and puts his arm around her.

My heart sinks.

"Guess Sky finally decided to be normal." Jimmy laughs.

That completely pisses me off.

I get up. "What is your problem?"

Jimmy looks a bit surprised at first. Then he gets up and gives me a defiant look. "I said, your pussy ex finally grew some balls." He smiles devilishly.

I snap and punch him without holding back.

He falls down on the ground but he soon gets back up and punches me in the face. Damn, he's stronger than I thought. I can feel blood coming from my lip but I don't let that stop me. All the anger I have built up about Sky and our break up comes out on Jimmy as I punch him again. He falls back but recovers quickly. The guys get up and soon a circle of other people enthralled by the fight forms around us.

Shawn tries to hold me back while Evan and Mikey get Jimmy. I wrench out of Shawn's hold and lunge towards Jimmy again.

"What are you guys doing?!" Sky screams, letting go of Loren and running towards us.

Jimmy tries to punch me but I block him and punch him instead. I'm ready for another hit when Sky jumps in between us.

"Aron, stop!" He holds his hands against my chest.

I keep my eyes on Jimmy ready to punch his fucking brains out.

"You didn't hear what he said about you." I say through clenched teeth.

I try to push forward towards Jimmy but Sky keeps holding me back.

"Who cares what he said? He's just a lowlife!" Sky says.

"Aww, is your little girlfriend coming to save you?" Jimmy mocks, wiping away some blood on his face.

"You fucking—"

"Don't listen to him." Sky says.

I look into Sky's intense eyes. I calm down a little. My body's still tense as I look back at Jimmy and I'm thinking about punching him again when I see his face. Then Sky grabs my hand and I look back at him again.

"Come on, let's go." He says, pulling me towards the school.

"Pussies!" Jimmy screams.

I don't respond.
