“Sorry to keep you waiting. I brought some tea that Yuki sent over.”

Makoto came back with a tray with two teacups and one pot for the tea, and then elegantly poured me a cup of tea.

The tea that Makoto poured smelled slightly sweet.

“Thank you.”

“Oh, this tea goes great with milk. Would you like to try it?”

“Yes, please.”

Makoto poured some milk in my cup as well, and I closely looked at my own teacup as the whiteness from the milk mixed in with the color of the tea.

I’m not entirely sure what he was trying to say, so I look straight at him.

Makoto eyes’ looked like they were looking far out in the distance.

“Once you mix something together, like the milk and tea that I just mixed right now. Can you separate the milk from the tea?”

I wonder what he was trying to ask with that question. I tilted my head and answered:

“Well, once you mix them, it’s impossible to just take out the milk by itself.”

“Yeah, that’s right. You’re absolutely right.”

He said with a distant smile on his face.

“Once something’s mixed in together, it’s incredibly tough to just separate them cleanly and properly.”

“…? Yeah, I think so too.”

I have absolutely no idea what’s on his mind or what he’s trying to say, but I just nodded in response.

“Sorry, I went off on a tangent there. Anyway, let’s drink this tea before it gets too cold.”

He said as he slowly took a sip. As if being guided by him, I followed along and drank as well.

The gentle scent of the tea flowed from my mouth into my nose.

The fragrance was soft and comforting; before I knew it, I found myself smiling.

“I’m glad that you seem to be enjoying the tea. As soon as we finish drinking, let’s go to Yuki’s place. I might be rushing a bit but, I would like to find a way to return Rachel’s soul back to her own body as soon as possible.”

“Yes, of course. I’ll do whatever it takes.”

I have absolutely no clue what I should do. I don’t even have the slightest idea.

But even so, I need to help Rachel.

After we finished drinking tea, Kuro and Shiro came in. It seems like we’ll be teleporting to where Yuki is.

“Please hold on.”

As told, I gently grabbed on to Makoto. A bright light flashes and wraps itself around us.

“Makoto!! You can’t just come in so suddenly like that, you know! You scared me!!”

When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was Yuki.

It seems like we safely teleported to Yuki’s place.

“Sorry, my bad. I just wanted to return Rachel’s soul back to her body.”

Makoto said as he looked right at me.
