Chapter 15

"Lawrence, what time would you go to school today?" my mother in law asked while we have brunch together. Lincon and my father in law left early for work.

"Later in the afternoon, mom." I answered.

"Can you please drop the documents to the company before you go to school. Lincon  needed it to his meeting this afternoon. It's an important document, we can't trust to anyone. Can you sweetie?"

"Yes, of course mom."

"Thank you sweetie. And by the way I bought you some clothes yesterday." she said excited.

"Mom, you always buy me things. I'm great full but I don't want to bothering you." I sincerely said.

"Oh, no. You're not a bother to me, to anyone. I'm happy to have you as my son. I feel responsible because Lincon always busy and have no time to take care of you."

"Thank you for being so nice to me mom." I said.

In the afternoon. "Mister, please drive me first to the company, I need to drop something." I said to the driver.

"Yes, Sir." He answered and start the car. He park the car in front of the huge building. "I'll wait for you here Sir."

"Okey." I step down to car and entered the building.

"Good afternoon. I'm here for the CEO." I said to the receptionist.

"Do you have an appointment Sir?" the receptionist asked smilingly.

"No. I'm just here to give him the documents he will need to his meeting later." I said politely.

"Can you wait a minute Sir, let me call first the CEO secretary. Can I take your name Sir?"

"Lawrence Park."

She make a phone call. And a minute later.

"Lawrence!" Lincon quickly walking toward me. "Why you're here? Any problem? Are you Okey?" he asked panting. He checked me as if I lost some part of body.

"Did you runned?" i asked when I saw him panting.

"Yes, I got worried when I heard that you're here."

"But I'm just here to give you this." I showed him the folder. "Mom told me to drop this here because she said you will need it."

"Yes, I forget to bring this morning. By the way, thank you."

"Okey, you're welcome. I take my leave now."

"Wait, what time is your class today?"

"Um, two hours from now."

"Still early. Have you eaten your lunch?"

"I had brunch a while ago."

"Mind if you accompany me for lunch?"

"But the driver is waiting for me."

He smile and make a call. "Hello. You can go home. I'll drive Lawrence to school, but pick him up later after his school." he ended up the call. "Let's go. I'm hungry." he drag me to the cafeteria.

There are some employees in the cafeteria who catch their attention when we entered.

"What do you want?" he asked.

"Can I eat desserts, I'm not that hungry yet."

"Sure." he ordered meal for him and desserts for me. "Try this chocolate cake they said is their best seller."

"Okey. Are you always eat in here?" I said to open a topic. I'm a bit shy because of the few eyes looking at us.

"No. It's my first time. I prepared delivery food in my office."

"Oh, I thought you're into fancy food."

"Im not. But we can do that."

"Do what?" I said confused.

"Eat food in fancy restaurant." he said. I blushed. Do he asking me for a date? "Can I taste that cake?"

"A-ah? S-sure." I get the cake in the plate near him.

"Can you please feed me?" he asked.

"W-what? I looked around. "There's people around us." I said softly.

"So what? Are you embarrassed? I'm your husband it's your..."

"Here." I feed him with my own spoon before he continue to his words. He smile victory while he chewing the cake. "You're such a fuse. I told you, they watching us. Now be ready to be the talk of the town in your own company." I said whining.

"I don't mind." he said smilingly.
