Rehmaat was talking to the senior Raghuvanshi's while having her breakfast and Manavi was quietly observing her.
Manavi noticed that Rehmaat was looking simple with no makeup on her face, her hair in a loose bun.
She noticed Rehmaat's ear were bare without any studs or stuff. A Solid thick iron bangle type of thing was placed on her right wrist which Manavi recognised as traditional sikh Kada.
But suddenly Manavi noticed something which made her panick. And she shrieked loudly.
"Rehmaat" the usually timid and quiet princess of Jaipur shouted.
"Woah, Pushpa what happened?" Rehmaat asked.
"Rehmaat why..... Why there's a?" She stopped in the middle as she saw her Dada entering the dinning room.
"Why there's a what Pushpa?" Rehmaat asked growing impatient.
Mustering a bit of courage Manavi asked.

"Why is there an engagement ring on your ring finger? Are you engaged?" As Manavi finished her sentence her family's attention went towards Rehmaat's ring finger. A gorgeous yet simple ring with a small diamond in the middle was adoring her ring finger of left hand.
"Oh this." Rehmaat pointed towards her left hand and slowly placed the hand closer to her face.

"This is indeed an engagement ring, a really special one. And about your question yes I am engaged." Rehmaat blushed a little while giving a small peck to the ring, as if adoring the ring.
"What?" The Raghuvanshi's asked in unison.
Except for Hukum who was a bit shocked considering the the girl's age but as usual being the ever composed Vairagi , he was able to mask his emotions.
"Engaged as in committed, but dear child you are just 18. Is it forced by any chance" The Mighty Rajmata of Jaipur asked in a worried Tone.
"D.J do you think someone can Force Rehmaat Kaur for something." Rehmaat joked, but no one laughed everyone had a serious look on there face.
"Rehmaat how did you get engaged and who are you engaged to?" This time the Queen asked.
"It's a long story, maybe even before you were born, Beautiful!" Rehmaat said dramatically.
"Don't tell me that you have some rebirth theory, everything crazy is expected from you." Manavi mumbled.
A flash of surprise passed Hukum's eyes who was not expecting this statement from his princess, his princess was never the one to use savage sarcasm not infront of him atleast.
"Ok so tell us what happened I am getting impatient" Manavi said out loud.
It was yet another shock for Hukum, his sister whose patience was the talk of every Royal family around not only india but other countries too was getting impatient. The unusual behaviour of his sister was successfull in taking his entire consentration on the conversation.
"Ok but I am warning you after listening to the thing that I am going to say is surely going to make your heart swoon, because of the amount of love that is threaded in this story is more than anything." Rehmaat said with a dreamy look in her eyes.
"So it is a story set back in 1970 when a lovely girl got married."
"But She was not in the favor of that marriage. Because it seemed to her that if by chance her would be husband is not a good person, oor is like her father who beats her mother than what will she do."
" That girl had seen the girls in her house and even women around her living even worse life after marriage than it already was , That's why she was irritated by the word marriage itself."
"But when she got married, she came to know that that person is different. He was not like others, he was unique."
"That girl was not like other girls either, she never wanted the jewelry or clothes like other girls of her age, instead she carved for freedom, she wanted to get education but her family never support her, but he did."
"When the other man of that era forced themselves on there wives he gave her a sense of protection."
" Slowly she fell for him, who was already hers, he became her heart, her Dilji."
"Both were married at a tender age of 16 itself but they become eachother's bestfriend's first and than each other's heart."
"When he turned 18, he joined army and went to Bengal for special training, it was the time when she actually realized that she is in love with her Dilji."
"They both used to write eachother letters."
"One day he received a really special letter in which his moon has complained for the first time."
"His moon said that she is getting irritated because of the constant nagging of everyone to atleast wear the engagement ring, as a sign of married women."
" But all of the rings she received from her in laws were too heavy for her liking."
"So she demanded her Dilji to send a simple ring, just the way she likes."
"He was really happy that his moon demanded something from him for the first time."
"He wanted to give her the ring, but he wanted to buy it with his hard earned money and not by the money that is his parents."
"As a training soldier his salary was not too much, so he wrote the letter that I will send it to you by valentine's day which is 7 months away. And this valentine's day is a thing my colleagues from Delhi and Mumbai celebrate its the day of love till than wait for me my moon."
"Than he saved money by cutting his expenses down."
"Finally 2days before valentine's day 1973 he went to a shop, bought a really simple but beautiful ring just the way his Moon will like and parceled the ring."
"After waiting for 4 days he finally received a letter, and only 6 words were written in the letter."
"Mainu Pyaar hoogeya Dilji thode naal." ( I am in love with you my heart)
"And he replied with Mainu taan jad pehli vaar thonu vekhya cc oodo he hoo geya cc Chandji." ( But I fell for you the first time I saw you my moon.)
Everyone in the room was silent after listening to this like they were in other world imagining . Until Manavi decided to break the silence.
"I can't believe that it's a real story. But how does this beautiful story have any connection with you being engaged?" Pulling Rehmaat out of the dream work that she was in.
"Well on my 18 birthday my partner AKA my Dadu took me on a special outing, he took me to a River Bank, pulled a ring box out of his pocket and placed the ring on my ring finger and said."
"Partner now you are engaged, engaged to a promise that this ring carries, the promise that I gave to my Chandji to love her forever, the day when you will find someone who can love you like this Dil loved his chand (this heart loved his moon) replace this Ring with his ring. But till you find other Heart for this moon( while kissing my forehead) wear this ring in your ring finger, it will be a reminder that you are engaged to a promise."
" A promise to find someone for you who can love you the way I loved my moon."
"And you know what when partner said this, I was over the moon. Because I know finding the man who can love the way Dilsher singh Brar loved his Chandji is almost impossible, this way I can say single forever. Because the story I told you is not a story. It's the truth , the truth of my grandparents life." Rehmaat said with eyes full of love.
Everyone in the room was again lost in there own world. Rehmaat was just thinking about her partner and his Chandji, The king and Queen of Jaipur were lost in eachother's eyes, the princess of Jaipur was thinking about something, Hukum looked like he was thinking about something too. But the Rajmata of Jaipur was looking towards Rehmaat.
"My dear child, I know you think that finding this type of love is impossible but I know there must be someone who can actually give you that love." She caressed Rehmaat's head with love.
"You know D.J my partner was 30 when my D.J expired. My father was a 6 year old child back than, but my Partner never remarried. Not because he thought of remarriage as a taboo but because he said, his Chandji is not dead she lives in his heart, and I am talking about the era when man used to marry for the second time, even when there first wife was alive."
" And now his Chandji lives not only in his heart but in my heart too, I never felt like I miss my D.J because my Partner never let me forget her."
"Partner is the most mature person that I know but his love for his Chandji is the just too pure."
" And you know why I was soo happy about being single, because partner says I am just like his Chandji, immature rebel, and only Dilsher singh Brar is capable enough to handle Chand Kaur Brar's immaturity with his maturity. It's like balanced and somewhere deep down I know that this type of balance is next to impossible in today's date where people change partner's faster than clothes." Suddenly something clicked in Her mind and she stood up from her seat and said.
"Excuse me but I have just remembered something really important, you guys continue I will come after making the phone call." Saying this Rehmaat hurried towards her room, but the people seated in the room were still processing the words she just said.
"I know child, I know that you are fearing the concept of sharing your life with someone just like your Grandma did, but Mahadev has already decided every thing, I will pray to give you your balance soon." The Rajmata of Jaipur prayed silently in her heart.
