**********

Three days after Rehmaat came back to Punjab!

Amritsar Punjab.

Writer's POV

Brar House, the ever smiling Brar House where everyone always keep smiling, cracking jokes.

The house which was always bustling with the liveliness of its members, seemed different today,

It seemed dull!

Mrs. Harpreet Kaur Brar turned the gas off after making her daughter's favourite Maggi. Normally she tries to avoid making Maggi but due to Rehmaat's constant nagging she gives in.

But today, today was different, today Rehmaat didn't Asked for it. Instead she was not even muttering a word since she arrived from that hideous place.

She and her family were shooked to see a pale Rehmaat standing beside Rajveer and Anmol three days ago, her eyes were dull and her face doesn't had the smile for which her daughter was famous.

For a second she thought, it was not her daughter and she was right too. Before going to Jaipur Her daughter was a hopping Bunny who could never stay at one but the girl who came back was nothing like her Rehmaat.

That girl was too silent, silent enough too make the house feel suffocated. And on top of that she was not even eating anything. That's why Harpreet made Maggi for her with a hope that maybe, just maybe she'll eat it with enthusiasm.

She quickly served it and went to Rehmaat's room where her Father-in-law and husband were already present.

Her husband was furious when Khan Sahab described how they rescued Rehmaat, it was her father-in-law who calmed him down.

And since than both the overprotective males hadn't left Rehmaat even for a minute. Even Anmol, Rajbeer and Khan Sahab kept visiting from time to time.

While keeping her thoughts aside, she put on a huge smile and said with her usual tone.

"Rehmuu, See I have brought Maggi for you. We are going to have a Maggi party today. And guess what, you will have the biggest portion I won't give your father saab much." She tried to cheer her up, as her daughter and her husband were like competitors, they were more like siblings than father daughter.

"That's cheating sardarniji. You love your daughter more." Her husband faked an Angry expression, to which all of them were expecting an 'yes she loves me more' from thier blessing, but instead all they got was

"Give all of it to father saab. I am not hungry." From Rehmaat in a small voice.

Harpreet couldn't control her self, her eyes were filled with unshed tears, she cursed those damned people from her heart for doing this to her daughter.

"Partner Get up." Everyone felt startled after listening to Dilsher singh Brar's voice suddenly as from the day Rehmaat arrived back, along with her even he was quiet. Not even uttering a word to his moon.

"Com'on,com'on get up. Chal mera Sher." He forcefully dragged Rehmaat but with gentleness that it didn't hurted her. (Come'on my Lion)

**********

Dilsher singh Brar along with his granddaughter stood at the Banks of one out of the five famous rivers of Punjab.

Beas river was at its beautiful form because Monsoon session was going on.

Beas from the starting had a special place in the Retired soldiers heart. It was Beas who was the witness of his love for his moon.

And now the same Beas was witnessing his love for his mini moon, his granddaughter too.

"Rehmaat Kaur Brar have you done anything wrong?" He asked in a strong voice.

"No." Came a reply in a really feeble voice.

"I asked have you done anything wrong." He said in a High tone that all the high ranking officer's use.

"No." Rehmaat finally shouted in return too.

"Than why are you punishing yourself. Why are you walking while hanging your head low. Did I raised a coward." He shouted again.

"No! Not a coward." Rehmaat said with the highest voice she could mustered.

And suddenly she shouted, she screamed loudly while going to her knees.

Her partner quickly took her into his warm embrace.

"Feeling better?" He asked her as he approached his bike to get the water bottle that he put inside his bag, he knew he will need it.

"A lot better." Rehmaat quickly took the bottle from his hands and gulped the water.

"Now quickly speak what I want to listen and what the lioness I raised want to say?" He ordered Rehmaat.

"Rehmaat is strong. But R.K. inside her is the strongest. R.K.doesn't cry when someone hurts her, she makes them cry who've dared to hurt her." She said in a strong voice.

"And when someone hurts Rehmaat, they face the deadliest form residing inside her soul. R.K." Dilsher singh Brar completed her sentence.

"And now Rehmaat is back partner, the lioness that you raised is back for her loved ones. But for those who have hurted me will meet R.K. next time whenever we meet again." Rehmaat's voice held a promise.

And with that the chirpy Rehmaat along with her cool partner went back, to her home. Where a surprise was waiting for her.

************

"Preeti, I am hungry. Give me food." As soon as Rehmaat entered her house she started singing/shouting for her food.

To which Her mother and father quickly hugged her. As they finally got their daughter back.

"Mehr glad to see you in your form back." Roohdaar Khan said.

While Rehmaat wasn't surprised at all, as it was the trio's rountine from the past three days to come in evening and check her.

"What are they doing here Preeti?" Rehmaat turned towards her mother and asked her.

"Let me so the honours to tell you instead." This time the Chief Minister of Punjab interrupt.

"We are here to see you." He said while raising up from the sofa and taking a step towards his sister.

Who inreturn took a step back. To which he was not surprised at all as he expected it.

While all the other family members rolled their eyes as they were predicting what was about to happen.

"Oooh so the famous C.M. of Punjab, the people's leader, the man who changed history has time for such petty work as meeting some girl now." Rehmaat's voice held a tinge of Sarcasm.

"Not any girl, you are our sister." This time Rajveer spoke.

"You... You both don't you dare to act all innocent. I am hell Angry with both of you." Rehmaat's nose flared red.

"I agree I was never close to you both the way Gulabo was, but 6 years straight without any meeting or phone call. You both didn't remember that you have another sister too. Gulabo is not your only sister." Rehmaat screamed while tossing a pillow towards her brother's.

"Ok we are sorry." Both said in an unison.

But that was not enough for Rehmaat to cool down she again tossed another small pillow kept on the sofa towards them.

"Rehmaat stop." Both tried stopping her, but after noticing the infamous teasing Rehmaat special smile on her face they knew it was a plaything for her now and they also knew that she wasn't going to stop now.

So they decided to join her too and that marked the beginning of a evening full of mischiefs and laughters.

Alas Brar House was full of life again.

************

"My Moon our little blessing is a grown up now." Dilsher singh Brar said while sitting on a rocking chair facing the window, from their the moon was visible.

"I don't think that the Raghuvanshi boy is bad,Their is more to the story.

I have full confidence in my upbringing, I didn't raised her to choose a wrong person to love.

And I know somewhere deep down she knows that too, she just needs to realise it first." He gave his opinion to his Chandji who lives in his heart in the form of his heartbeat.

"Even though I have talked to her and somewhere got her back. But deep down she is still hurt.

The wounds given by the person you love can only be healed by that person or someone who can replace that person.

But I don't think so that Rehmaat can replace him now, not any time soon atleast.

I know she is like me in the matter's of emotional attachment and love. The way she confessed her love is Dilsher singh's way.

My mini Chandji has my heart atlast." He chuckled softly.

"Kya keh ke gaya tha Shayar woh sayana, hai aag ka dariya padega doob ke Jana." He sighed.

(A wise poet once said, love is like river of Lava that you have to cross by swimming no matter what.)

"It's fight for love, maybe be one sided or maybe two sided. But whatever it is, it's thier's to fight for.

So let's see if their love can actually overcome the odds of destiny.

Just the way our love won at the end. If thier is true love between them, may it win against everything too my Moon." He prayed with pure heart wanting nothing more than happiness of his granddaughter.
