The Son-In-Law Shot To Fame Chapter 328
Son-In-Law Madness
Chapter 328 Signing The Contract Hence, Atlantis would try its best to stop Donaldâs plan from working out.
âLord Campbell, does Chiliad Avion know youâve mastered the controlled fusion technology?â Lilith questioned.
âI had already provided the information about these technologies to Chiliad Avion ten years ago. That means they were already ahead of the rest of the world. Plus, they agreed to my suggestion of providing them to the citizens. However, they did ask me to keep it a secret while doing so.â
Lilith was amazed by the capabilities of the S9-Grade laboratory in Quadfield.
Donaldâs phone rang when the clock hit eleven at night. In his blurry state, he gazed at his phone.
He was surprised to see that it was Jennifer who had texted him.
She wrote: Are you asleep?
No. That was Donaldâs answer.
She replied: Iâm sorry.
Donald was puzzled as he texted: For?
Jennifer explained: The Wilson family will be taking back everything that I own. I wonât even be able to attend the contract signing for the construction of Lord Campbell Avenue tomorrow. Other than that, I donât have any more money with me now. I wonât be able to afford the Miracle Doctor of Pollerton for you. Iâm so sorry, Donald.
Donald pondered about it before texting Jennifer: Donât be dejected. Whatever that belongs to you will belong to you. Maybe you can ask Kingsley for a favor? What if he only wants to sign the contract with you?
She responded: All right. How are you feeling?
Donald texted: Not bad.
Following that, she texted: Can I visit you tomorrow?
The man simply replied: Thereâs no need for that. Itâs late. Get some sleep.
The next day, Sylvia, Shannon, Nigel, and Jonathan took the necessary documents from Supreme Nona Hotel before heading to Rivebale Hotel. They arrived before Kingsley did.
Much to Sylviaâs surprise, Jenniferâs family was present too. Huddling in a group in the hall, the family was in the midst of a discussion.
Linda complained, âIâm going to complain to General Felton later.â
Sylvia remained silent as she merely gave Linda a gloomy look.
With something on her mind, Jennifer didnât utter a sound.
Her eyes brightened when she saw Donald strolling into the hall leisurely.
Jennifer quickly got up. She walked over to Donald. âWhy do you show up for work here when you feel unwell?â
She didnât think much about Donaldâs appearance at Rivebale Hotel because she thought he was still working as Lanaâs security guard.
Donald was baffled. Iâm here to solve your problems for you. What do you mean I still work here?
He remarked, âI wonât have an income if I donât work.â
Leonardâs and Lindaâs blood boiled when they noticed Jennifer showing her concern for Donald.
Linda hurried forward with her hands on her waist. She pulled Jennifer behind her and glared at Donald. âYou are a man who is going to die soon. Please stop hassling Jennifer!â
Leonard added as he strode forward, âYes. You are going to die soon. You wonât even be able to survive until New Year. Why donât you find a place to breathe your last instead of coming here to bother Jennifer? She has a bright future ahead of her. If you love her, you have to let her go.â
Kevin wheeled himself over. He raged, âDonald, I didnât expect you to end up in the situation that youâre in today. Look at me. Itâs all your fault that I ended up in a wheelchair. But Iâm still happy, though.
Because you are going to die sooner than I do.â
Suddenly, Jennifer shouted, âThatâs enough! Stop talking!â
Donald scanned the people around him coldly. He shook his head. âI donât have the interest to speak with you all.â
With her hands still on her waist, Linda side-eyed Donald. âUrgh. You loser. Iâve warned you. Donât let me see you with Jennifer again, or Iâll beat you to death!â
She snagged Jenniferâs arm forcefully. It made Jennifer stumbled in her steps while Linda thundered, âLetâs go!â
Donaldâs gaze turned frosty.
Kevin wheeled himself over. With an urge to slap Donald, the former struggled to get himself up from the wheelchair. He pointed his fingers at Donaldâs face as he fumed, âWhy are you glaring at my mom?
Do you want to hit her?â
