No Escape From My Ruthless Alpha

Chapter 73: Counting Minutes

Drexel POV

"You heard me. Reject your rogue mate if you want to marry me," I repeated

"D-Drexel..." she stuttered. "You are m- mistaken... I d-don't have "

"Where are you staying right now, Freya?" I asked her

[heard a loud gasp. "I am staying at a hotel in the White Claw pack. Tomorrow I will go to meet Alpha Steven."

I poured more whiskey in my glass as I put my phone on speaker. "Now do me a favor, Freya

Get up from the bed and open the curtain of your window."

She did as told, her breath labored. She drew the curtains and I heard a claw screeching against the glass window

"Do you see my warriors?" I asked. I had sent a team of a dozen warriors to keep a watch on her and her rogue mate a few hours back with Boris as their team leader. As soon as they reached, Boris messaged me

"Why are you keeping a watch on me? You don't trust me?" she sniffled. "I don't have a mate!"

"Now listen to me very carefully, Freya," I said, not shaken by her sniffles. "My warriors are waiting for my instructions to launch an attack on that little lodge of yours where you've always hid with your rogue mate." "Drexel!" There was a lot of noise in the background as if someone was packing, dumping things around or probably throwing them, zippers going up and down amongst other sounds

"You have two options. First option is that you reject your mate and come back with my warriors. Boris is waiting for you. The second option is that my warriors enter the lodge and they kill Walker. As such there is no place for rogues amongst us. They are a menace."

"Noooo!" she shrieked. "No, Drexel, no!" She screamed again. "You can't do that to him. He

hasn't done anything!"

So she agreed that she had a mate. "He hasn't done anything other than taking all my money through you and losing it in gambling or making shell companies in your name," I said, maintaining my chilly tone. I sipped on the sixth glass of my whiskey for the day

Now Freya broke. She started crying and crying loudly. I heard grunts and growls. I was sure that she was frightened as hell. Well, that was my intent. She fucked me up so bad because I trusted her. Now I would screw her so bad that she would know what it was to mess with a wolf like me. There was a reason why I was called ruthless and merciless

"Drexel, please don't do anything to him," she said, her voice filled with raw terror

Good, that's how I liked my prey. Filled with fear before I took them down

"Tt is not my fault that Walker is my mate. After all, the Moon Goddess has chosen him for me."

"True," I replied. "She chose a fine mate for

you

"Then please don't do anything to him!" She was sobbing

"Okay, I won't." I swirled my whiskey

"Oh, thank you!" She sank with relief

"But reject him," I added. "You have exactly ten minutes to reject him. After that my warriors come in."

"What?" Freya started sobbing loudly. "Please Drexel, please. Don't be so cruel. I will die if I reject him!"

"But sweetheart, you wanted to marry me. Don't tell me I am incorrect?" It was nice to see the fish struggling in my net. This was the first good feeling in so many days. "If not, then what else were you planning?"

"I wasn't planning anything, Drexel!" she

choked. "Have mercy. Please leave us and we will disappear. We will never return to your pack or any other pack. We will go far away from here. I promise!"

"Nah. I won't. Leave you." How could I? I had just started. "Eight minutes left. It's either you reject him, or he is eliminated." There was so much she had done to me that I clenched my jaws. One problem at a time. "Don't worry, I am holding the call on this side. Don't cut my call, because I want to hear your decision."

I knew Freya hadn't even thought of all this in her wild imagination. Just because I trusted her so much that I never ever questioned her, she became this bold

"Six minutes." My voice sounded chilly for me too

She cried loudly. There was complete mayhem on her side, mimicking the state of my mind

"This is absolutely ridiculous!" her pleading changed into rage. "You can't make me reject my mate just like that."

"Oh baby, I can. Watch me. Five minutes."

"You are one heartless bastard. You think I will marry you after I reject him? I won't!" She was shaking with fury and I was sure about it. I had seen it earlier too

"This is pure blackmail! I am going to get all the Alphas against you. You don't know my power!" she screamed

It is said that under duress, one tends to blabber a lot. And that was what she was doing

"Three minutes."

"T will bring your downfall!" she threatened

You don't know what kind of information I hold against you!"

Suddenly, I heard a protest and a male's voice on the phone. "Don't do this Drexel," said

Walker. "You will regret it."

So much anger blasted in my body after hearing Walker that I was glad I wasn't there. I would have ripped his throat in a moment. "Two minutes," I responded in a very cold voice

He muttered curses. There was a long silence after that punctuated by Freya's sobs

Freya took the phone back from Walker as I heard his fading footsteps. "Drexel, I will return all your money. Please just leave us. We will go away from here. I have done so much for you. I have strengthened your pack for four tiresome years. Won't you even consider that?"

I let out a rough exhale. She had wrecked my

life for two years out of four and so bad that- "One minute."
