“I really didn’t mean it that way. I just wanted to see if you were spending the New Year alone. Who asked you to suddenly go overboard with me? That’s why I said something overboard too.”

Chi Xia thought to herself that she did not come to see him on New Year’s Eve to make him angry. Although it was a little unpleasant, she really wanted to care about him.

Su Chen raised his eyebrows. ” Did I do something overboard to you? You came to see me on New Year’s Eve. Aren’t you hinting at me to do something to you?”

Su Chen then turned to Chi Xia. ” What do you think? If you don’t pity me, what do you mean?”

“I was just passing by and came to see you.” Chi Xia lowered her head.

“Passing by? So you sleepwalked here?”

Su Chen looked at Chi Xia, his eyes darkened. He turned the steering wheel and stopped the car by the roadside.

Chi Xia looked up at him in confusion and heard his voice, “”Since you sleepwalked past my house, you can sleepwalk back. It seems unnecessary for me to send you back.”

Chi Xia was speechless.

“Why aren’t you getting out of the car?” Su Chen looked at Chi Xia and lifted her chin, his dark eyes emitting a mysterious light. ” Chi Xia, you better make it clear to me. I don’t like it when you’re being ambiguous with me. Tell me, are you in love with me? ” If so, I can give you a chance…”

“Impossible!” Before Su Chen could finish, Chi Xia denied agitatedly, ” I’m just used to taking care of you, so I just wanted to confirm how you celebrate the new year. I don’t mean anything else, don’t think too much! ”

“Is that so? Su Chen raised his eyebrows. Even though she told him not to think too much, he still thought too much.

He leaned closer to her, hooked her chin, and planted a kiss on her lips. His tone was domineering. ” Since you’re used to it, you’d better continue to get used to it! ”

Chi Xia’s eyes widened. ” Why are you kissing me again? Have you forgotten our contract? ”

“Since you’re so easily used to it, then continue to get used to my kiss!”

Chi Xia gritted her teeth and could not be bothered to argue with him anymore. Once again, she was certain that her brain must have been cramped for coming to him on impulse tonight!

The car continued to drive. On the way, the fireworks outside continued. Chi Xia tilted her head and looked at the man beside her. ” Young Master Su, why didn’t you go back to the Su residence? ” Have you had dinner?”

“I didn’t eat.” Su Chen said coldly.

Chi Xia was stunned. ” You really didn’t eat? Then go back. I’ll cook for you.”

“You’re really attentive. Why, are you starting to pity me again?”

“I said I didn’t!”

Su Chen snorted coldly and did not say anything else.

However, Chi Xia still felt uneasy and asked, “”Why don’t we go to a restaurant that’s open?”

Su Chen glanced at her. ” I’m not as pitiful as you think. I’m not at the point where I have to spend New Year’s Eve alone. ”

Chi Xia was stunned. Why did he lie to her that he hadn’t eaten?!

Thinking about it, Chi Xia felt that she was being too nosy. She had a bunch of relatives in her family. The Su Family was a big family. Her father would not be the only child. He must have relatives.

Chi Xia lowered her head and said nothing.

The car passed by a grand fireworks display. Many private cars stopped around to admire the fireworks.

Chi Xia raised her head and looked out the window. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw the brilliance in the sky.

Su Chen stopped the car and looked at the woman beside him. Her big eyes were sparkling with fireworks, and her face was unbelievably beautiful under the light in the sky.
