169 [Bonus chapter] 169. Come to Me
âDonât go away from me again,â whispered Samuel again in his deep, deep voice. He embraced Clara tightly, almost squeezing her slender body.
Clara froze in Samuelâs arms. Logic compelled her to rebel, but feelings led her to return the manâs hug. She placed her hands on Samuelâs chest, burying her face in it. She sobbed violently, shedding all the burden that was in her heart.
Samuel stroked Claraâs back gently, allowing her to rage and settle down in his arms. He kissed her head softly, hoping it would ease her sadness. He didnât force her to tell him what happened. He just wanted her to calm down.
âWhy? Why donât you just let me go?â Clara asked, sobbing. âWhatâs the point in holding me down?â
Samuel didnât answer, he hugged Clara tightly. His gentle caresses on her brunette hair continued, making Clara feel the manâs tender care even more.
Clara enjoyed the protection that Samuel gave her. However, half of her warned that it was not good. It could lead them to another misery.
âSam, let me go,â Clara whispered, her voice muffled as her crying grew heavier. âYou can get other women who met your criteria, canât you?â Clara asked again. She shook the manâs body lightly, demanding an answer that would force her to stay in his arms.
However, Samuel also didnât understand how he should explain to her everything he was doing at the moment. He didnât know why he chased after her when he had to wait on his sick mother. Shouldnât he have stayed in the clinic? Shouldnât his worries be undivided?
âI just donât want to let you go any more,â Samuel whispered, barely audible. However, his voice was so clear to Claraâs ears. âIâm not going to do it again like the stupid Samuel six years ago.â
.....
Claraâs eyes heated up again. Her chest felt so tight. She burst into tears, making her weak body get even closer to his muscular body. Would everything be okay if she leaned into his arms?
Clara no longer wanted to oppose Samuel, either by word or deed. She knew she needed a hug right now. She needed support from him.
At that moment, Clara realized that God had not accidentally reunited her with a man from six years ago who had made her feel depressed. She reunited with the man because he would become a new source of strength for her during her hard time when she had no support from anyone.
âSam, you will regret it later,â Clara whispered again, warning Samuel without being able to reveal the things she was keeping secret.
âOn the other hand, I know for sure that I will regret letting you go,â whispered Samuel, making Clara even more helpless.
Samuel knew that, at this moment, Clara had completely submitted herself to him. He hugged her tighter, enjoying the mild cherry scent as if there would be no tomorrow for them. He wasnât wrong. She could have left him again if he didnât treat her well.
The tension between Claraâs body and Samuelâs body slowly disappeared. As if no barriers prevented the two of them, She felt herself merge with his body, feeling that she was a part of his muscular body.
Samuel also felt the same way, as if he had found a puzzle piece that had disappeared from his body. Neither of them was in bed. Neither of them was involved in sexual activity. However, they felt a deeper union than when their lower bodies were physically connected.
âCome with me,â whispered Samuel.
âIâm not in the mood to see that old doctor again,â Clara replied. Her sobs had lessened.
Samuel didnât ask why Clara didnât like Doctor Evans. He knew he had to give her a break before she could tell him everything at the right time.
âThen letâs go to my place,â whispered Samuel again, still hugging Clara tightly.
Clara didnât answer. She felt that she did not want to meet people. Meanwhile, Samuelâs house was filled with so many people that it would make her feel like she was in an amusement park.
âI ⦠am not feeling like meeting other people. Maybe next time Iâll stop by your house,â Clara said, trying to politely decline.
Samuel smiled at her reply. He broke away from the embrace, then said, âDo you think my parents forbade me from bringing a girl home, without providing a proper place for me?â
Claraâs swollen eyes narrowed, looking questioningly at Samuel. She then smiled as she understood what he wanted to say.
âCome on, letâs go to my penthouse. Thereâs not a single living creature there,â said Samuel, taking Claraâs hand.
However, Clara was unmoved. She remembered that Samuel needed to take care of his sick mother.
âWhat else?â asked Samuel confused. He thought that he had convinced her to come home with him.
âWhat about your mother?â Clara asked worriedly.
âIâll take you to my penthouse and then come back to the clinic,â Samuel explained.
Clara thought for a moment, looked at Samuel doubtfully, then said, âGive me the address. Iâll take a cab there.â
Sam was in doubt. He was afraid that Clara would run away again. If she did, she might never come back to him again.
As if knowing Samuelâs concern, Clara said, âIâm not going to run away. Trust me!â Clara smiled, touching Samuelâs cheek gently. She lifted her face, looking into his jade eyes without even blinking at all.
Samuel then smiled at her. He knew that all good relationships start with mutual trust. He reached into his pocket and took out the penthouse key from there. He lifted Claraâs palm and placed the key in her open hand.
âWait for me there,â said Samuel, looking at Clara meaningfully.
Clara smiled, waved her hand, and said, âDonât you afraid if I steal your valuable things?â
âYou did it,â Samuel replied with a sincere smile. He realized that the beautiful woman in front of him had succeeded in stealing his heart.
