Chapter 90
Billionaires with Benefits
90 90. To Protect His Wife
He was the snow-white-haired man who had visited Paulaâs office this afternoon, Haruto Yamaguchi, Akaneâs grandfather. His dark eyes looked up and down, staring at William William, then sneered at him unpleasantly.
âI never knew that Anderson girl keeps an expensive gigolo like you,â Yamaguchi said condescendingly. He could see Williamâs taste in the clothes he wore. âHow could she feel safe with a useless guy like you?â
William laughed, then said. âWhat do you want? I donât have much time. My wife will be home soon. Donât let her starve!â
Old Yamaguchi just stared at William, turning his attention to his kiseru, an old Japanese smoking pipe. The man asked his men to light a cigar, then he smoked it in joy. Smoke billowed from the old manâs nose and mouth as he removed the pen-like traditional Japanese smoking pipe.
The old man then turned his attention back to William and said, âDonât worry about them because I wonât let you go home until that Anderson girl heeds my request,â then he took another leisurely puff on his cigar.
âWhy are you doing this?â asked William, who was getting displeased.
âI only want the peaceful way to solve the problem, but that young Anderson is very arrogant. Does she think that the business will prosper if she behaves like that in a foreign land?â Yamaguchi said with a raised voice. âShe doesnât know any manners towards the old person.â
William just stared at Yamaguchi, listening to his every word lazily. All he discussed was decency and manners. If he cared about norms, why didnât he teach his child and grandchildren to be more honest in doing business?
âYou know, it was your grandchild who started first, why are you still defending her to the death?â asked William again.
.....
âItâs a matter of the family name. I have to uphold the good name of the family no matter what,â Yamaguchi replied, looking at William with his pearly black eyes. âNever mind, a man who has no pride like you, how could you even understand pride? Luckily I immediately took Ryuu away from his mother. I didnât let him linger in New York. Otherwise, he might become a useless man like you. â
Yamaguchiâs nagging went everywhere, discussing Ryuu, Akaneâs older brother who had been with his mother in New York for six years. He thought that Ryuuâs mother, his sonâs ex-wife, could not raise her son well. Always get into fights and often lose. Yamaguchi didnât like loser men. Therefore, the old man decided to take his grandson and train him to become a great fighter himself.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Without waiting any longer, the old man immediately summoned several bodyguards to bind Williamâs feet. Four huge Japanese men entered the room, approaching William.
However, of course, William refused. He didnât want to be used as a tool to threaten Paula. Having him by Paulaâs side was a protector, not the other way around. He didnât want to be a burden and a weakness for his wife.
Because of that, William, who had previously refrained from causing trouble, seemed to have to once again bring out his latent talent that had been buried for a long time. A hidden talent he refused to show because he promised his parents.
This time, he had to break his promise. He had to do this for Paula.
Yamaguchi waved his hand for his bodyguards to execute William immediately. âQuickly tie him to the chair! Torture him and make a good video of it!â old Yamaguchi ordered.
âYes, Master!â replied the two bodyguards in the middle.
âDonât overdo it and donât make him die because I want him in one piece to become a useful hostage!â old Yamaguchi added. He then took back his cigar to enjoy the sight he was about to witness in a moment.
Shortly thereafter, two of Yamaguchiâs men rushed to William to tie him to a chair. Two others stood guard, ready to help their friends beat William up.
âI donât think you two are needed here. You guys can go back to the frontline. Itâs enough for two people to handle a weak guy like-â
Yamaguchi couldnât finish his sentence because of the sound of a metal chair being thrown onto the tatami floor, through a sliding door made of plywood. It didnât just stop there, the sounds of screams from two men in pain followed later, making Yamaguchi gasp in disbelief.
The old man then turned his head back to his captive. How shocked he was because the man whose hands were tied was able to make two of his bodyguards fall to the floor, groaning in pain. Their noses and mouths were covered in blood.
âWhat is this? Why are you sleeping on the floor instead of taking care of that gigolo?â Yamaguchi yelled. He couldnât believe that his subordinates were beaten by a man whose hands were tied.
âHe fought back, boss! We-we didnât think-he would be able to do this,â answered one who was still conscious haltingly.
The cigar in Yamaguchiâs mouth was shaking. He didnât think that the man who he thought could only cook for his wife could also fight.
âGi-gigolo, you bastard! Hurry and beat him!â Yamaguchi ordered the other two men who were standing guard around him to attack William.
The two of them were now more careful because it was certain that someone who could defeat two of Yamaguchiâs bodyguards using just two legs, definitely could not be underestimated. Both of them split up, one to the right and one to the left. They then set up their pose, ready to attack William.
William only smiled faintly. He could already predict the opponentâs next move. Sure enough, the two of them then attacked William simultaneously, running over in unison. William didnât move an inch. However, just as the two of them were about to grab his body, it was then that he quickly jumped aside for the two assailants to bash each other.
Screams of pain were inevitable. It was then, both of them then chose the instant way. A way William would have a very hard time avoiding at any cost. Gun!
