A moment after his majesty, Ren, left his clone, Geeta notifies us that he had left, and the executives, once more assemble.

“Now, let’s start the independent executive meeting,” Said Sir Aegir that could be said as the king’s, no, the emperor’s right hand. He’s like the sworn brother of the emperor, both of them are smart and strong, all people and even the executives admire both of them.

Sir Aegir’s and the emperor’s relationship is so close, even though the emperor is kind and gentle to everyone, sir Aegir’s is one of the few people that won’t get nervous when talked with the emperor. Even I, as the leader of the orcs, I still felt nervous when I meet the emperor.

“Sir Aegir. Does his majesty informed about this meeting?” Asked the king of undead, Gareth. Everyone knew about sir Gareth’s deep loyalty to the emperor, he’s not scared to eliminate anyone he judged as a nuisance or a threat for the emperor.

“He doesn’t,” Answered sir Aegir with his eyes closed.

“I see, then it means the word ‘independent’ refers to our meeting that doesn’t comprise and bother your majesty, right?” Asked Gurolf, the royal head magician. He’s one of the most mysterious figures at the executives, no one knew what he thinks, and no one knew his real strength is, a very mysterious person…

“Indeed, we seem to depend on the emperor too much, and if we notify him about this meeting, he’ll try his best to attend. But it’ll not let us grow and made us more dependent on him,” Said the noble leader of the centaurs, sir Firenze.

“So we’re holding this meeting to not give the emperor more weight to think, heh? I like the thought,” Said the leader of the dwarves, sir Thydal, frankly.

“Then, our problems lie at the four kings and the construction of our empire, how are the progress of the construction, Thydal?” Asked sir Aegir.

“It’s running at the full speed, we have the resources and materials, and the undead had covered the lacking manpower and boosts the speed, but it will still need a lot of time,” (Thydal)

“Each kingdom except the undead kingdom construction including the palace and the great walls should be finished at two months at most, while the emperor’s palace of the empire could only be finished at three months at most,” Said sir Thydal.

With the presence of sir Thydal, the empire’s buildings had all become gorgeous, there are no weapons shortage for the soldiers, and there are no people who have no home. This would make a gap at our defenses, so I want to remind you to quickly build your kingdom army legion and order of knights,” (Aegir)

“One of the things that protect us until now is the great walls, but only here, at the capital, that had the great wall constructed, while each of our kingdoms still needs to wait for two months until they’re finished. We may not underestimate the other habitant of this forest, we may be in peace now, but we couldn’t sure that the peace will last for long,” (Aegir)

“My biggest fear is, if one of us suddenly got attacked by the demons when we hadn’t prepared the army legion and order of knights, it won’t be even one day to get massacred by them, we can’t afford to be careless,” (Aegir)

“So I’m here to remind you to quickly assemble your people and build your military power steadily, and train them with the martial arts that your majesty had given us,” Said sir Aegir to all of us, the executives.

Sir Aegir’s words could be heard as challenging our loyalty and could be interpreted as questioning our competence of serving the emperor.

I, the leader of the orcs, sir Talak, the leader of the lizardfolk, and lady Azaline, the leader of the elves stands when we heard that line, and said: “We won’t disappoint him,” with a firm and resolute tone.

Sir Aegir smiled when he heard our answer, we discussed some other things related to the empire for a while, and then sir Aegir ends the meeting, and all of us return to our respective homes.

I went back to my kingdom by walking, across the road, I silently contemplate about all of the things that I should do, all of the executives always waits for there to be a meeting, because all of us wanted to meet the emperor, his charismatic charm makes all sorts of people got drawn by him.

“Minotaurs…”

I don’t know what minotaurs are, but if they’re going to hinder the emperor’s way, I won’t show them any mercy. The emperor already had a lot of things at his mind, I need to help him even if it’s just lifting one of it.

When I am aware, I had already arrived in front of the huge gate that’s still under construction.

“I’m happy to hear that, Dom. The emperor had tasked us orcs with an important quest, to subdue the minotaur that proclaimed himself as the king of the West, he had attacked some of our people too, so the emperor judged him as a threat to the empire,” (Magra)

“The emperor didn’t choose the goblins or the noble centaurs to subdue them, but he chooses us. We owe our lives to him, and I don’t want to disappoint him, let’s handle the minotaurs wisely, and united!” (Magra)

All of the orcs presents roared with all they had, just by mentioning the emperor lits their spirits, it makes me admired the emperor more.

Fourteen chieftains had joined with the empire and had already moved to this growing orc kingdom. Each one of them had at least five thousand members, making our kingdom to have approximately 70,000 residents.

By using the emperor’s knowledge, we’ve made great farms and ranches to preserve our food. And by introducing the concept of economy, no one slacks off, as everyone wants to eat, and everyone needs to work to get paid.

After the introduction of the economy, a lot of business buildings had been constructed, inns, restaurants, and there are even some orcs that had started to learn how to be a merchant. The kingdom had become lively in such a short time.

“It’s all because of the great emperor,” I mumbled softly.

“Did you say something, my lord?” Asked Kotkizun to me.

“Nope, sorry, I spaced out there for a second,” I pointed my ax to where the king of the West should be and said: “Now, let’s begin our quest!”
