—Magra’s POV—

We travel from the orc kingdom to the place where the king of the West existed by foot, the traveling pace of orcs is fast, after traveling for about five hours, we’ve already arrived at the eternal winter region. Luckily, the emperor chose us as the one who’ll subdue the king of the West, as we orcs had a strong body, the cold hardly bothered us. I let my soldiers rest for 10 minutes, and we’ll continue our journey.

“My lord, it’ll be the toughest part after this, we should slow our pace as to not drain the soldier’s stamina too much,” Said my right hand, Kotkizun to me.

Just like its name, an eternal winter region is a place that could only be described as a place where winter didn’t end. The snow piled up, and the trees and stones got frozen, because of the orc’s strong body, our herculean strength gave us immunity to the cold.

“Yes, tell the soldiers to slow our pace, and prepare to continue our journey,” I said.

“Yes, my lord,” Answered Kotkizun.

According to what sir Aegir told us, the eternal winter region is filled with a lot of dangerous magic beasts, and there are the winter bears that ruled the region. The king of the West should be not that far from the borders of the grassland region and the eternal winter region.

After walking for another four hours, we finally saw an old-looking wall from the distance, the wall looks old and battered as if no one manages it.

“My lord…” (Kotkizun)

“I know Kotkizun… It’s whether they’re stupid and careless, or they’re that confident with their strength, I won’t be careless,” (Magra)

“What do you think we should do, Duverl?” I asked the smartest orc from the Bonefall clan. He’s the wisest amongst us, so I appoint him as the strategist of the legion.

“Let’s send some scouts first, we need to know what’s inside the walls first,” Said the strategist, Duverl.

“You’re right, Kotkizun, send some scouts to find out what’s inside, and notify the soldiers that we’ll make a temporary base here,” I instructed Kotkizun.

As my right hand, Kotkizun acted quickly and swiftly, he’s one of the most powerful and smart orcs at the kingdom, his name is well renowned at the orcs community as ‘The King’s Right Hand, Kotkizun’.

Kotkizun sends five orcs that excel in stealth to scout inside the walls, we waited until dark to ensure the success of the scouting while building the base not far from the walls.

Waiting for the scouts to carry out their mission, I sit at a piece of wood that had just been cut down and used as our chair. We don’t make any campfire as it will notify the enemy about our presence.

We brought about 10,000 soldiers here, it’s the half number of the war hammer legion. I let the other half to keep guarding the kingdom, we can’t let the kingdom to be left unguarded.

I wonder if my decisions are wrong… The scouts sure took their time on the scouting; it’s already one hour since they started their mission. Do they fail? If they fail, as their king, what should I do? Will I disappoint his majesty, the emperor? If-

“Ouch!” I shouted because of the sudden smack at my back.

“W-what are you doing, Gruival!?” I asked the perpetrator who just smacked by back, my old friend, the chieftain of the Deathbringer clan, Gruival.

“What the hell are you thinking, my lord? You’re not that bright, so don’t waste your energy for thinking something that’s too complicated, your head will explode,” Said Gruival with some sarcasm mixed inside of it.

“You… I have no idea whether you’re consoling me or making fun of me, Gruival,” I said with a wry smile.

“Say your doubts and worries out loud, Magra. We’re orcs, we solve our problems by muscle and power, we respect the strong and admire them. That’s why all of us admires you and the emperor,” (Gruival)

“He’s right, my lord. You’re not the only one who didn’t want to disappoint his majesty, the emperor. All of us also admires him and his strength, as our lord, you’re free to ask us your retainers to think about the complicated problems you know?” Said the chieftain from the Ironfist clan, Iran.

Not only both of them but the other twelve chieftains had also come and surrounded me with smiles imprinted on their face and trust shone from their eyes.

Seriously, what a great comrade I have here, ever since I met his majesty, Ren, a lot of good things keeps on happening. All the people around him admire him and get a good influence from him. As if everyone who got near him got blessed by the gods, even someone like me got blessed with such wonderful comrades.

“Then tell me what you’ve seen inside, that darken all of your expressions,” I asked them once again.

“I-it’s not our race who got imprisoned, but some goblins from lord Aegir’s goblin kingdom. We trained together before at the capital, so we remember clearly their face and their appearance, they’re all good people, my lord,” Said one of them while he squeezes his fist powerfully and lowering his face.

“Hm… So it’s not our race but the goblins that got imprisoned by them,” (Magra)

“Not only that, my lord. Some orcs also work together with the king of the West and the minotaurs inside,” (One of the scouts)

“What? Which clan who had betrayed us?” Asked the strongest warrior, Dom, furiously.

“I don’t recognize them, my lord. I never saw their clan before, different with us, they had a blue-colored skin. But I’m sure that they’re orcs,” (One of the scouts)

“Explain to me their defenses and the condition inside of the walls,” (Magra)

From the report that the scouts gave us, the races that live inside the walls are only the blue orcs and the minotaurs. There are no defend systems inside, the blue orcs live as if they’re the slaves of the minotaurs and there are only some of them patrolling. They said that there are approximately 2,000 minotaurs and 5,000 orcs including their females, elderly, and children.

“I see, Duverl, what is the best course of action should we take?” I asked the strategist.

“Hm… If there are no defend system inside of the walls, we should take advantage of the darkness of the night to make a sudden assault. Because there are the goblins that we need to save, we can’t attack them head-on, they might use the goblins as a hostage,” (Duverl)

“So we need to attack them when their security is at the lowest, it’s now. Let’s split some of the elite warriors to make a small group that prioritizes in saving the prisoners,” Said Duverl.

“Then Dom, pick another five people to make a group that prioritizes in saving the prisoners,” I immediately instructed Dom.

“Yes, my lord!” Dom answered and immediately make his group.

“Let’s attack them now, my lord. At this time, their security should be at their lowest, it will make fewer casualties at both sides,” Said Duverl.

“Kotkizun, gather all of the soldiers, it’s time to attacks,” I instructed Kotkizun.

The soldiers are discipline, the training course his majesty gave us makes enhance not only the body but also the mind of the soldiers, just a moment after the announcement, all of them immediately gathered and make an organized formation.

“We’ll now attack the king of the West, I’m not good at words like the emperor, so I doubt that I could raise your morale like him. But I could still say this, stay alive! And don’t disgrace the name of the War Hammer Legion, now, let’s attack our enemies and save our allies!” I said trying to imitate his majesty’s speech.

We orcs have a natural night vision, we could see at night as clear as the day, Dom’s team had infiltrated the walls first, and leading the main army, I lead them to strike swiftly.

Our entrance alarmed the subjects of the king of the West, but they’re not prepared, and they’re slow at making their formation, making it easier for us to incapacitate their soldiers.

Our 10,000 soldiers easily overwhelmed the blue orcs and the minotaurs, some of them run to the place where the prisoners were kept, only to encounter Dom and the other mighty warriors and got wiped out.

The minotaur had greater strength than us, but our soldiers had learned a martial art, while the minotaur fight without any strategy. One of our orc soldiers could face five blue orcs or two minotaurs simultaneously. Even though we had only got introduced to martial art recently, but the improvement at the soldiers is superb.

I never thought that the battle will go this smoothly, but when I’m in the midst of admiring the soldiers’ strength, suddenly a blue orc that had a different aura enveloping him, and a minotaur that had a bigger body than the other minotaurs appeared.

I immediately notice their presence when they appeared, but when I move my gaze to them, unbearing wrath enveloped me.

I knew that the minotaur is the leader of the minotaurs, but the blue orc that appeared with him had his neck, hands, and legs shackled with chains. And the blue orcs is not a male, but a female!

“What’s the meaning of this?” I asked with a cold voice.

“Don’t you think it’s my line to say that? You’re from that newly built kingdom, don’t you? Why are you here? To save those weak goblins?” Asked the minotaur with a disgusting face.

“That’s part of it, but your actions had become a threat to the empire, so the emperor ordered us to subdue you and your evilness,” Said I.

Suddenly the minotaur laughed, his disgusting face stuck out his tongue when he’s laughing as if he had lost his mind.

“That’s funny, little orc! A lot of people had challenged me before, while no one had the strength to defeat me, and because of my peerless strength, all of them serve and worship me! And you said that you came here because of your puny emperor!? Don’t make me laugh!” (The king of the West)

I immediately gushed out all of my killing intent when I heard that insult, not only me, all of the chieftains and all of the soldiers who heard that the king of the west just said gushed out their killing intents too. The other minotaurs and blue orcs that already surrendered shivers because of the terrifying amount of killing intent, the walls start to give a cracking sound, and it felt as if the whole place is shaking.

“Don’t You dare insult the emperor in front of us,” I said coldly.

The emperor is our savior and our hero, all of us got saved by him and all of us gladly serve him. For this dirty minotaur to insult him with his unworthy mouth, makes me couldn’t handle my wrath.

“H-hmph! Not a bad bloodthirst you had there warrior, but you’ll end up the same like this girl here, I’ll gladly make you my toy and make your emperor my toy too!” Said him once more, this time, I couldn’t bear it anymore.

I’m sorry Duverl, but I think that I can’t help but kill this F*@#ing bull.
