“Yup!” Tan Mo nodded, and her fresh, warm breath hit Wei Zhiqian’s ear once again.

As she nodded her head, her fresh shampoo smell spread into the air and into Wei Zhiqian’s nose.

“It moved again!” Tan Mo exclaimed. “And it’s turning red!”

“All right, that’s enough.” Wei Zhiqian coughed as he felt a little embarrassed. He grabbed Tan Mo by her waist and gently pushed her back a little.

Now that she could not see Wei Zhiqian’s ear anymore, Tan Mo shifted her attention back to Qin Muye’s upcoming birthday.

“Muye wants a pretty dress for her birthday,” Tan Mo said as she realized the present that Qin Mufeng had prepared might not be what her best friend was expecting.

“Mufeng was caught off guard by that.” Wei Zhiqian laughed. “He’d already booked the venue months ago and did not expect that his little sister would want something else. That’s why he’s going to prepare another gift as well as the hot spring villa. He just left the country today. Though he’s telling his family that he’s on a work trip, the truth is that he’s going to meet up with the designer who made your dress. Since he only has less than a month left, the only way he can get the designer to make Muye a dress is if he goes and asks for it in person. Even I had to make a booking with the designer six months ago.

Wei Zhiqian turned to look at Qin Muye before continuing, “Well, he still might not be able to get one since there isn’t really enough time for the designer to complete it. Everything from the design to the final dress would take a lot of time to complete.”

Other than what Wei Zhiqian had mentioned, there was also the fact that the Goddess Brand was famous for paying attention to every detail. If the designer had to rush and created a product that wasn’t up to its standards, it might ruin his reputation.

Thus, giving the designer less than a month to create a dress was almost an impossible task.

That was why Qin Mufeng had to go and meet the designer in person, or else the latter would never have agreed to it.

It was only then that Tan Mo learned that Wei Zhiqian had prepared her gift six months prior to her birthday.

“Will the designer agree?” Tan Mo asked, knowing how much Qin Mufeng loved his younger sister.

The older brother had already prepared a gift, but because Qin Muye said she wished to have a dress like Tan Mo’s, he left the country right away with just less than a month left to prepare a new gift.

“It should be fine if he goes to meet the designer in person,” Wei Zhiqian said. “We should know the answer in one or two days.”

As the conversation went on, the wind began to pick up, and Tan Mo’s hair started to fly all over the place.

Wei Zhiqian tried to help Tan Mo tidy her hair, but it would just get messy the next second.

“Why don’t you head in now?” Wei Zhiqian suggested, seeing that the wind wasn’t going to calm down any time soon.

It was already past 9:00 pm. Qin Muye, and Ming Yeqing had already gone back to their rooms.

Tan Mo nodded. “I’ll see you off.”

Wei Zhiqian had no idea why Tan Mo had been so eager to watch him leave for the past few weeks, but it felt good to him.

Since Tan Mo was already outside her dorm, there was no need for him to worry about her safety.

Thus he nodded and turned to leave.

However, after just walking a few steps, he suddenly heard a man’s voice call out, “Tan Mo.”

The voice was filled with excitement and a hint of nervousness.

Wei Zhiqian sighed, thinking that he shouldn’t have jinxed it.

He turned around and saw a guy jogging toward Tan Mo with a huge grin on his face.

If Ming Yeqing had been present, he would’ve recognized that the guy was none other than the senior from his research team, Cheng Xiuze.

Wei Zhiqian paused for a second.

Tan Mo was now standing on the stairs that were leading up to the door of her dorm.

Cheng Xiuze stopped abruptly in front of Tan Mo.

Even though he was standing a step below Tan Mo, he was still a head taller than her.

From Wei Zhiqian’s point of view, he could see the profiles of the two people on the stairs.

Since Cheng Xiuze was only four years older than Tan Mo, he looked young as well.

Under the street lamp, they looked like a match made in heaven.

Tan Mo tilted her head up a little to look at Cheng Xiuze.

Even their height difference was perfect.

Cheng Xiuze was now blushing awkwardly as he smiled at Tan Mo.

“Senior Cheng?” Tan Mo smiled. “What a coincidence. Did you just get back from the research room?”

She couldn’t help but wonder why he was at the ladies’ dorm as the men’s dorm was on the other side of the campus.

Cheng Xiuze gently smiled and said, “I’m here to see you. I heard Yeqing say that you guys were heading out to grab some barbeque, so I was waiting for you to get back.”

“Oh?” Tan Mo blinked. “Is there anything you need from me? Could it be that you suddenly found a solution to the question you and Yeqing have been trying to solve? But Yeqing has already headed back to his room.”

“N…no, it’s not about the research,” Cheng Xiuze said as he felt his heart begin to race even faster. “A…are you free tomorrow night? If you aren’t, how about lunchtime? I’m thinking of treating you to a meal.”n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

“Why are you suddenly treating me to a meal?” Tan Mo asked.

Cheng Xiuze had already thought of an answer to that question. “B…because ever since you joined the team, our efficiency has shot through the roof, and we even finished a project way before the deadline. So I wanted to treat you to a meal as a thank you.”

Tan Mo was going to reject his invitation.

But since Cheng Xiuze was a decent person and had been taking good care of her in the research room, she decided to reject him in a polite manner.

However, since the little snow fairy had little to no experience in the dating world, she had no idea what to make of Cheng Xiuze’s enthusiasm since he hadn’t mentioned anything about dating yet.

Tan Mo could feel like he still had something more to say to her and decided that it would be bad not to go have a meal with him.

If she was mistaken, she could just think of it as a way to help him save his money.

If she wasn’t, then rejecting him was the best idea.

“I…” Tan Mo opened her mouth after thinking about it, but was cut short.

“If you’re asking her out, then she doesn’t have the time,” Wei Zhiqian’s voice came from behind them. “If you’re just thanking her for helping the research team out, then why are you representing the whole team instead of the professor?”
