Chapter 394 Something Happened To Nathaniel
A Crazy Night Novel
âFrom now on, Iâll be managing all your work.â
Nathaniel flipped through Christinaâs schedule. Her work arrangement wasnât too packed. She still had time to accompany her children on weekends.
âYou want to stop me from collaborating with Gibson Corporation?â Christina was slightly worried.
Judging from Nathanielâs means of conducting things, he would definitely do that.
âYouâre bonded to me now. You donât have the power to decide on any cooperation.â Nathaniel arched his brows, looking at her like he was looking at the document in his hands.
Thinking about the contract she had signed in the morning, Christina suddenly felt weak.
She pursed her lips and didnât say anything more.
After they arrived at the company, they went straight to the office.
Yerek was sitting on the couch. The moment he saw Nathaniel, his eyes glinted.
âChristina, can we talk about the collaboration now?â Yerck stood up and approached her.
Walking behind Nathaniel, Christina was like a child who had done something wrong. At the moment, she had no say in anything like that.
âSheâs under me now, so Iâll be handling all her matters, Nathaniel said.
Yerek was slightly startled but soon regained his composure. âWhich means itâs a collaboration with Hadley Corporation?â
Hearing that, Christina was also shocked. âStop kidding. Why is Hadley Corporation being pulled into this?â
In the beginning, she thought her work wasnât worth that much. Hence, she felt she wouldnât bring much trouble upon herself even if something went wrong with the collaboration, just like her heart wouldnât ache if she lost a few hundred in a gamble.
However, if the stakes increased, she couldnât afford to take that risk anymore.
âYou can leave if you find it displeasing.â Nathanielâs words were straight to the point.
If Yerek left at such a time, it was going to prove that his purpose for the collaboration was to get close to Christina.
Yerek sneered. âWhy would I give up on the chance to collaborate with Hadley Corporation?â He picked up the proposal on the desk. âLetâs have a talk in the office.â
Nathaniel clenched his jaw slightly and pulled Christina to the office.
The three of them sat facing one another. There were several assistants at the side, taking minutes of the meeting.
It merely sounded like a simple matter. However, it became extraordinarily complicated when they got into the details.
Something Happened To Nathaniel Christina voiced her opinions from time to time. Coming to an agreement for such a big project was going to take a while.
As noon approached, both parties felt tired. Only Nathaniel looked like he was still full of energy.
âHow about we take a break? Letâs continue later in the afternoonâ Christina couldnât hold on anymore. She had been sitting for five hours listening to information that she wasnât familiar with.
âSure. Letâs have a break.â Nathaniel agreed.
Only then was the meeting adjourned..
âWhat do you want to eat? You want to have it here or outside?â Nathaniel asked.
âAre you serious about cooperating with Gibson Corporation?â Christinaâs gaze was serious.
âYes.â
Nathaniel took a sip of the warm water at the side and let Christina have the rest.
âYou donât have to meddle in this. Itâs between me and Gibson Corporation.â Christina said worriedly.
She didnât want Nathaniel to get involved with others unnecessarily because of her.
âIâll get involved just because you donât want me to.â His expression was solemn.
Christina face-palmed, not knowing how to respond to his words.
âDonât starve. Think about what you want to cat.â Nathaniel unfurled her brows with his fingertips.
That surprisingly made her feel better somehow.
âAnything will do.â After she finished saying that, she organized the documents on the desk.
In less than half an hour, the coffee table was full of various delicious dishes.
âCome here and eat.â
Christina was hungry. She put down the documents and went over to him.
As soon as she sat down, a shrimp was stuffed into her mouth. Christina was moved.
Perhaps it was because of that that she had temporarily forgotten about her conflict with Nathaniel.
After eating, Christina felt slightly sleepy.
Seeing that she was a little lethargic, Nathaniel said, âTake a nap. Iâll wake you up when itâs time for work.â âItâs okay. Iâm not that sleepy.â Christina carefully read the conditions stated in the document.
It was indeed a collaboration plan involving two great companies. Every part was written cautiously and in detail-even the punctuation marks were impeccable.
If Nathaniel didnât join her in the negotiation, perhaps it wouldnât have been so detailed.
All of a sudden, the document in her hand was pulled away. Then, she was scooped up by Nathaniel.
His arms were strong. It felt like he was her most reliable harbor.
âTake a rest. Your body is also mine now,â Nathaniel said domineeringly.
When she entered the lounge with him, the faint floral fragrance in the air floated to her nose.
Christina lay on the bed, saying that she couldnât sleep. Yet, two seconds later, she fell asleep on Nathanielâs body.
Who wouldnât have a good sleep on a muscular chest?
They held each other in their arms, and it seemed like time had stopped.
When Christina woke up in the afternoon, she rubbed her eyes. Under the light, she looked like a sweet princess, with her fair and delicate skin glowing.
Walking out of the lounge, she thought of getting the materials ready for the meeting later. She soon saw Rayne frantically writing the minutes.
âGet ready for the meeting later.â Christina sat down and picked up the documents.
Rayne was a little surprised. âItâs already over. Mr. Hadley said that you werenât feeling well, so you wouldnât be joining us for the meeting. He even told me not to disturb your rest after the meeting.
Christina let out a sheepish smile. Did I sleep that long?
She was warmed by Nathanielâs consideration.
âWhat a good relationship you have with him. It makes people envious,â Rayne said. âMr. Hadley must have wanted to stay with you, which is why he moved Christinaâs Studios to Hadley Corporation. By the way, did you know that the studio we rented back then also belonged to Mr. Hadley?â
Christinaâs pupils shrank in shock, but she regained her composure soon after.
There was nothing Nathaniel could not do. He could have control over anything as long as he wanted it, and that included her.
After work, Christina returned to her condominium.
She continued working on the scarf that had yet to be completed.
It was taking her a lot of time to finish knitting it. Perhaps it was due to the fact that she had a good nap in the afternoon, for she was full of energy at night.
As the wee hours approached, she was finally feeling a little tired.
When she walked over to the dining table and poured herself a glass of water, her phone rang.
Christina answered it, and Sebastianâs weak voice sounded from the other end of the line. âMrs. Hadley, we have met with an accident on our way home. Can you come to the hospital-â
âWhich hospital!â
âCaring Hospital...â
Without waiting for Sebastian to finish speaking, Christina immediately slid on her slippers and dashed
