Chapter 26

Kai's P.O.V

Me and Ellie where sitting watching a movie, well I was. She wasn't really paying attention but I didn't say anything. During the movie my phone rang, I was expecting the call so I had to go and take it and I was annoyed that it interrupted my time with Ellie as I knew this phone call would take a while. I told

Ellie I had to take it and then went to my office.

5 minuets later

"Yes okay I will send it out as soon as the money is transferred" I say

"No I want it first"

"And how do I know you won't just take it and not give me my money?"

"Well how do I know you won't just keep my money and not send me it?"

"We all know I'm a man of my word, you on the other hand can't be trusted so either you pay me first and then I send it out to you or you go find someone else" I say sternly, I don't trust him and I know what he is like he wouldn't give me my money

"Fine I'll send it but you better send me the whole lot and not rip me off Kai"

"Is that a threat Johnston?" I demand hoping he wouldn't be stupid enough to threaten me

"Call it what you want"

"I can assure you that everything you pay for will be sent" I say and with that I hang up the phone and go to look for Ellie.

As I get closer to the living room I can hear voices, I couldn't make out what they were saying but I knew it was Ellie and Lucas

"If you want I'll tell Kai " I hear Lucas say as I enter the living room

"Tell me what?"I ask, curious to know what they are talking about and why it involves me or Ellie. I grab Ellie and pull her into me for a hug, she just stands there and doesn't try to move, I see her give Lucas a look as if to say don't say anything and that's when Lucas speaks up

"Uh Nothing" He says before tuning around and trying to walk away

"Lucas" I warn not liking that he didn't answer my question and is trying to walk away from me. "what are you not telling me?" I question further

"Hey can we go finish the movie? It was really good and we didn't get to finish it" Ellie says trying to change the subject, now I really wanna know what they were talking about. The fact that they aren't telling me is really starting to annoy me and I can't help but feel I won't like what it is.

"You weren't even watching it, I seen you, you were lost in your thoughts and weren't paying attention. Now what are you guys hiding from me?" I ask again, She looks at Lucas and shakes her head slowly, probably so I couldn't see but I did

"Did you try to escape again?" I ask, my tone suddenly turns angry, it would make sense as to why she wouldn't want me to know but would Lucas be stupid enough to not tell me?

"No" she says, that reassures me a little bit but I'm still mad that I don't know what they are talking about yet

"I'm getting very angry now, what are yous not telling me?" I rise my voice this time and send Lucas a hard glare, making sure he knows that I want to know and he better tell me

"Come one Ellie you may as well get it over with now" Lucas says "just let me tell him" he continues and then smirks when she replies with a small okay, "Kai, Ellie fancy's you" He says, I wasn't expecting him to say it like that! I was very shocked but also happy, off course I didn't know if it was true or not but Lucas should know not to lie to me like that

"Lucas!" Ellie shouts

"What? There's no point in sugarcoating it Ellie, if we were going to tell him may as well get straight to the point"

I turn Ellie to face me, "is it true?" I asks, hoping that it is. I don't know what's wrong with me but I really like Ellie and o hope it's true. Ellie looks down hiding her blush but I bring her face back up to look at me.

"Well?" I ask smirking as I now believe it otherwise she wouldn't shout at Lucas or blush and look away but I just wanted to hear her say it, just to confirm as her word means more

"I don't know how I feel" she says

"She says she was going to give you a chance" Lucas states and She send him a glare "shut up Lucas!" She say and he just laughs and then walks away. I look at Ellie again and then brings my lips to meet hers. I couldn't help myself.

She doesn't pull away which I was not expecting but I was very glad about. I kept kissing her for a little while until we had to pull away to breath.

"I'm so glad you didn't pull away" I say and peck her lips again

I peck her lips again, loving how it feels but couldn't control myself and now we are full on making out. I have to say I was so surprised at her not pushing me away and actually wanting to give me a chance, I was glad that she was finally going to be mine. She just needed a little more time and I was okay with that because we can take it step by step.

"Lucas was so embarrassing" she says after we pulled away

"It wasn't that bad" I said and then couldn't help myself and started laughing

"Stop it" she says turning red, I just keep laughing at her

"So you fancy me huh?" I say trying to laugh

"Ugh shut up" she says and then tries to walk away but I grab her

"Don't walk away from me"

"Let go of me Kai"

"No"

Ellie's P.O.V

"Let me go" I said again, I was embarrassed with the way Lucas worded it. I don't fancy Kai I mean sure he's hot anol but it takes more than just looks, he has to be nice before I figure out if I like him or not. This is all so confusing part of me wants to push him away and run, get as far away from here as I can but the other part wants to stay and give Kai a chance.

I keep telling myself that this is a bad idea, giving him a chance will just hurt me, but I hope I'm wrong because it's too late now. He likes me and he's not going to give up so I may as well give it a go. I'm not going to let him in straight away it's going to take time, I can't just ignore what has happened and start trusting him and acting like we are together because we aren't and I don't fully trust him.

"Will you get of me?"

"Nope" he says popping the 'p'

He start walking, dragging me along with him "Where are we going?" I ask

"Kitchen I'm hungry" I didn't say anything and allowed him to just take me to the kitchen to be honest I was a little hungry as well even though it wasn't that long ago when I ate.

"You want anything?" He asks me

"Sure, what are you having?"

"Uh a packet of crisps"

"I'll take a packet as well then"

"Sure what flavour?" He asks

"Ready salted, they are my favourite"

"Really? Nah I like spring onion"

"Eww no they are stinking"

"Are not"

"Yeah they are, ready salted are the best!"

"Nah salt and vinegar" Lucas says walking into the kitchen

"They are nice but they don't beat ready salted" I say

"Both of them are grim, you guys have weird flavours, ready salted are so plain and boring and then salt and vinegar are just plain disgusting" Kai says

"Are we seriously going to stand here and argue over which crisps are the best?" I ask, I mean don't get me wrong I would gladly stand here and give me a million reasons why ready salted are the best but I couldn't be bothered

"Yous can bu..." He was cut off by a man running into the kitchen

"Boss, Oscar was shot!" He shouts which immediately grabs all of our attention

"What?! Is he okay? Where is he?" Lucas shouts, obviously freaking out that his brother got shot

I couldn't believe that Oscar got shot, I mean I could considering what they all do for a living but I felt bad as I really liked Oscar.

"Who shot him?" Kai asks walking out of the kitchen following the man and Lucas

"I'm not sure who he was but he's down in the cells now, he was shot and the man followed him to hear where Luke managed to get hold of him and take him to the cells for questioning. I had Will take Oscar to the hospital" the man says, wait they have a hospital here?

I just kept following behind them, Lucas ran on so it was just me, Kai and that man who I don't know yet.
