Chapter 34

Ellie's P.O.V

I was so nervous as I walked up to my old home and to Rachel's house. Don't get me wrong I couldn't wait to see her but I was afraid of her reaction.

I knocked the door and not even a minute later Rachel swings the door open and hugs me.

"Woah, you didn't even check to see if it was me" I laugh

"Who else would come knocking at my door?" She laughed and we walked into the living room

"It could have been anybody" I shook my head

"Well it was you so I don't need to worry about that" she says and we sit down

I was staring to feel sick, you know that feeling when you are nervous about something and your belly hurts? Yeah well that's how I felt right now (I don't know why but that's how I feel writing this 😂😂) I don't even know how to bring it up, I take a deep breath and...

"I have to tell you something really important and I don't know how to say it or how you'll take it" I say, she looks at me weirdly

"You came all the way from Australia just so you could tell em something?" She asked. I took another deep breath

"IwasneverinAustralia" I said all in one breath

"What?" She laughed

"I didn't move to Australia" I say, she's looks shocked, then confused, then upset and now she looks angry

"What do you mean you never moved to Australia? Where did you go? Why did you lie? Did you not want to live with me anymore? I can't believe you lied to me!" She shouted, I could see tears polling up in her eyes and I felt really bad

"I never wanted to lie to you I..." I began to say but she cut me off

"You what?" She asked angrily

"Please just listen I swear it will all make sense once I explain everything" I say, I take her silence as she was ready to listen

"Okay you remember when I never came back home from work like 2 months again?" I ask

"Yeah, you had me really worried"

"Well that day when I left for work I ended up bumping into this man......" I began to explain everything that happened that day

"I'm so sorry I wanted to tell you but Kai wouldn't let me and I also didn't wanna get you in trouble" I say after I have explained everything. I told her everything that's happened up to today, about me being kidnapped, and deciding to give Kai a chance.

"I understand, I forgive you" she says and gives me a hug, I hug her back

"I never wanted to lie to you, I never wanted this to happen but it did and I can't do anything about it" I say

"It's okay, I get it, and I respect that is you think giving Kai a chance is a good idea and I don't hate you for it or think of you any differently, I'll always support you your my sister" she says, I give her another hug

"I love you so much Rachel" I say

"I love you too" she says and then we break apart

"I don't understand why your telling me this now though? Won't Kai get mad?" She asks

"No he knows, I had to ask him first or he'd probably kill me" I laugh

"How can you laugh about that?"

"I don't know, Probably because I know he won't actually kill me" I say

"But he could if he wanted to, doesn't that scare you?" She asks

"Off course it does but I just have to get used to it because he's made it pretty clear that I'm 'his' and that I'm not going anywhere" I shrug

"Woah I don't know how you can be so calm about this"

"I wasn't at first"

"As long as your safe" she says

"I will be, Kai for some reason likes me and I for some reason trust that I'll be alright around him"

"But there's something else I need to tell you and I know for a fact that your going to freak out" I say

"Oh god please tell me you'd didn't have sex and your pregnant"

"What? No!" I shout

"Good" she sighs in relief, I shake my head and laugh at her

"So what is it?" She asks, I take a deep breath

"Okay so there's this boy and he has become my really close friend, he's really funny and helped me take my mind of everything when I was there" I say, she nods to show she's listening

"He likes you"

"What?!" She shouts

"He said about he met you at a coffee shop, he never knew you were my friend until he looked into you and then he came to me about it. He said that he really liked you and asked if it was okay with me I told him as long as you agree and as long as your happy" I said

"I don't remember meeting anyone new" she says "I don't wanna get involved in all this Mafia stuff Ellie what am I going to go?" She freaks out

"Look it's entirely up to you, he understands if you don't wanna meet him or move into the mansion" I say

"How does he know me again?" She asks, I could tell she was trying to keep calm about this but being her best friend I could also tell she was proper freaking out

"He said that you bumped into him and spilt his coffee all over him, he also said for me to say sorry on his behalf about the way he reacted to you"

"Oh! I remember him, he was so mean how does he like me? Oh my god what if he just wants to kill me for spilling coffee over him?"

"I promise he doesn't! I think he really does like you, and if he wanted you dead he would have killed you by now" I say

"Thanks Ellie that makes me feel so much better" she rolls her eyes

"Now who's acting so calm?" I laugh

"Please I've done nothing but shout and freak out since you told me everything" She laughed

"But that's normal, I would be worried if you didn't freak out and didn't care"

"What do you think I should do?" She asks

"Well it's up to you but I think you should at least meet him, I promise he's not bad, he's actually one of my best friends now and he's so funny and nice"

"He doesn't sound like someone who would be in a Mafia, I thought they were supposed to be all tough and scary"

"You'd be surprised" I laugh

We spent the next half and hour talking about Lucas before she decided that she would meet him and I called him up. He sounded so excited when I told him and I could imagine him jumping out of the car and running up.
