Chapter 44

I'm so thankful for all of you who have made it this far into my story and voted! It honestly does mean so much to me to know that you like it and are enjoying what your reading!

Just want to point something out, if you see any mistakes (spelling or if I've wrote something wrong) feel free to comment and let me know I won't take offence!

I brought this up because I have read a few books where they have made a mistake but I've been to afraid to say anything as I didn't want to seem rude. But I would prefer if people let me know so I can change it!

Ellie's P.O.V

Today I am going out with my brother, I haven't seen him in a while or heard from him even but Kai told me that he wasn't available as he had him working a lot and that's why he couldn't contact me. He texted me yesterday saying that he would love if we could meet up and talk. I replied letting him know that I would ask Kai if I was allowed to go out with him. It's funny how I'm 20 and I have to ask permission from my boyfriend to go outside the mansion grounds. Aw well I don't mind I know Kai is only doing it for my safety and I appreciate that!

Other girls and even boys would get so annoyed if someone was trying to control them and tell them if they can or can't go out but I don't care, I know it's to keep me safe. At first I was annoyed but now I realised that it's not a bad thing!

I haven't got round to asking Kai if I could go out yet as I was having a girly day with Rachel and Savannah the other night and all of the next day. It was amazing, we done face masks whilst having our feet relaxing in a lovely hot feet bath with lavender soap. After we took out face masks of we braided each other's hair and then went down to a room I never even knew was here. There was a sauna and a hot tub! Savannah was the one who told us about it, she said she was there with Marcus. I couldn't believe I've lived here for over what 2 months? And I didn't know there was a sauna or a hot tub. After that we all went back to the living room and painted our nails and watched more movies.

Now, I'm currently looking for Kai to ask him if I can go out with my brother today. He better let me because I may have already told Josh I could come. He seemed so happy and I would like to get closer to him again. It will take a while for me but I'm willing to work on it, after all I did for Kai and he kidnapped me. I'm sure I could for my own brother.

I walked into his office but as usual when I need him he's not there, I groan and walk out of his office. I need to find him fast. Josh is supposed to be picking me up in 2 hours and I'm not even ready yet. Ughh why do I leave everything until last minute? I need to get a shower, pick out what I'm going to wear, charge my phone, do my hair and my makeup.

I've actually been the most unorganised person lately and it's really bad. I'm stressing over things that I really shouldn't need to be doing. I stop walking once I reach the kitchen, but I should've guessed that we wouldn't be here.

"Hey have you seen Kai?" I ask Rachel and Lucas as I enter the kitchen. They were baking something but I couldn't see what they were baking.

"Uh nope, check the gym" Lucas said without even turning around. Rachel turned around and smirked at me

"You haven't asked him yet have you?" She asks, she's smirking at me because she already knows the answer.

"No and I'm supposed to be leaving in 2 hours, I still need to get a shower, do my hair and makeup, find out what I'm going to wear and out my phone on charge because it's only at..." I stop and take out my phone to check the time "34%" I sigh, Rachel starts laughing and I glare at her.

"It's not funny Rach!" I exclaim

"It kinda is, you had all day yesterday to ask him and you've had all day today and here you are running about like a headless chicken trying to find him when you need to leave in 2 hours" she laughs

"Where are you going?" Lucas asks

"Josh asked me if I wanted to go out for dinner with him, he wants us to be close again" I tell him

"Josh? Your brother Josh?" He asks, I roll my eyes

"No Josh the comedian" I say sarcastically, he rolls his eyes at me

"Okay miss smarty pants" he says dramatically, I laugh and shake my head

"Well I got to go try find Kai, I'll see yous later" I say, I turn around about to walk out of the kitchen when I bumped into a hard chest

"You found me" Kai laughs

"Ow that hurt" I say slapping his chest, he grabs my hand

"Don't hit me" he warns, his mood suddenly changing, woah what's that about? He's not in a good mood!

"What's wrong?" I ask him

"Why didn't you ask me if you could go out with your brother?" He asks, he didn't sound angry

"H-how did you know?" I ask dumbfounded.

"I heard your conversation, I've been standing here for a while" he says

"You know it's not nice to eavesdrop" Rachel speaks up

"I'm the boss around here, I don't care if it's nice or not" he says glaring at her

"Look I was just about to ask you, that's why I was looking for you" I tell him, trying to calm him down

"But you've already told your brother that you were going when I didn't say you could so just for that, your not going" he says. He was about to walk away but I grabbed his wrist

"No! Wait! Please let me go!" I say, giving him the puppy dog eyes

"Come on you can't say no to those" Rachel says pointing to me

"No" he says looking me directly in the eye and walking out of the room

"Please Kai, I haven't seen my brother in ages, how am I supposed to get build up a relationship again with him if I'm not allowed to see him?" I ask

"I never said you couldn't see him, just that you were not going out" he says

"Please" I huff

"Don't use that tone with me" He says

"Don't make me then" I remark. He stops abruptly causing me to once again walk into him. I step back a bit but he grabs me and pulls me into him.

"I wouldn't test my patience Ellie, don't get smart and cheeky with me. Your not going out, my decision is final" he says and walks into his office and locks the door in my face!

"So your not letting me go out just because I didn't ask you first?" I shout through his door

"Yep" He shouts

"That's so petty, you know I shouldn't even have to ask you if I can go out I'm 20 years old not 10!" I shout, I know I'm contraindicating myself but I don't care, I'm angry. He's being so unreasonable and I'm not having it! I'm going out with my brother with or without his consent!

It's been a few seconds and he hasn't said anything else to me. Is he seriously ignoring me right now? I don't have time for this!

I walk away and go to our bedroom to have a shower. I put my phone on charge before I went and stripped out of my clothes and got into the shower. I spent about 10 minuets in the shower, once I got out I wrapped a towel around myself and went to my walk in closet. I picked out a cute oversized pink jumper and paired it with grey jeans. I put on a pair of black ankle boots and went to do my makeup and hair.

I don't like wearing that much makeup, the only things I put on is a light coat of pink eyeshadow, mascara, and lipgloss. Once I finished my makeup I decided to put my hair up in a messy bun. After that I went back to check the percentage of my phone. It was on 65%

I quickly texted Marcus telling him that Kai said he had to come out with me. I know kai didn't want me out but if he did he would make one of his guards go with me, even though Josh is in the Mafia. So I decided to bring Marcus, just in case. He said he would be over soon.

I was all ready to go, I just had to wait until Josh got here. He would be here in half an hour so for now I'll just hide out in the bedroom. Kai is in his office so he won't come here anytime soon, he always spends hours in there.

Marcus texted me saying that he was downstairs, he was at Savannah's house and I felt bad for having to bring him away from her on his day off but I don't know anyone else I could have asked. Josh should be here any minute now so I headed down the stairs. I stoped when I heard Kai talking to someone.

"Why are you here? It's your day off I thought you were over at Savannah's?" He says, shit he's talking to Marcus

"Uh I was but you said that I had to go out with Ellie and her brother?" Marcus said, he looked so confused, I mentally slapped myself. I'm dead. He's going to be so mad!

"ELLIE!" Kai screams and turns around to start walking up the stairs, he stops when we make eye contact

"I told you, you were NOT going so could you explain to me why Marcus is here on his days off to watch over you and your brother? And why you are all dressed up?" He asks, too calmly for my liking. You know what they say, the calm before the storm!

"I thought you said I couldn't go out without bringing a body guard" I lied. I knew full well what he said

"Oh I'm sorry, was I not clear enough when I said, 'your not going out, my decision is final' what part of that did you get 'you can't go out without bringing a body guard' please tell me because if very confused" He says crossing his arms. Marcus doesn't say anything and I could tell how awkward he felt right now.

"I-" I was interrupted by Josh walking through the front door shouting "Ellie I'm here!" He then saw us all "Oh never mind, sorry for shouting" he laughed.

"She's not going sorry you both wasted your time coming here" Kai said and was about to lift me but I ducked under him

"Please let me go!" I begged, he turned around and this time grabbed me and threw me over his shoulder

"No" he grunted and starting walking up the stairs
