Chapter 55

Ellie's P.O.V

We finally came to a stop outside of the log cabin. It felt like we were in that car for hours after that argument me and Kai had. None of us talked after that and it made the journey feel like it took forever. Rachel was right this place is beautiful.

I got out of the car and went to the boot to get my suitcase. I grabbed mine and went straight to the door. I had the key do I unlocked it and went to finds room I wanted to stay in. I resisted that there was only one bedroom but that didn't bother me and Rachel can share, it's not like we haven't shared a bed before anyway and besides we are best friends.

Rachel walked into the room and told me that Kai was away. "Good I'm not talking to that dickhead" I say and begin to unpack my bags. Rachel does the same and once we are finished we went down into the kitchen and unpacked the food shopping we brought.

"You want to go for a walk or something?" Rachel asks

"Sure" I say, we head out and go for a walk in the forest surrounding the place. It really was beautiful here. We came across a waterfall, it looked so peaceful and magical.

We sat down staring at the waterfall and started talking.

"I need to tell you something" Rachel says

"What it is?" I ask curiously

"I-I I'm pregnant" she says, I can feel my eyes widen and my mouth drops open.

"What?!" I ask surprised

"I'm pregnant" she repeats, my shock turns into happiness for my best friend.

"Your going to make an amazing mum Rachel, what did Lucas say?" I ask

"Thank you!" She smiles "and I-I haven't told him yet" she tells me sheepishly

"Why not? How long have you know for?" I ask

"A few days, I'm just worried how he'll react what if he doesn't want kids? What if he asks me to have an abortion?" She asks

"He won't, I'm sure he'll be over the moon and if he asks you to have an abortion I'll personally kill him" I tell her "don't worry about it, if you want to keep this baby then that's all that matters if he doesn't want it that's his loss but I'm positive he will not do that to you, he loves you and he will love this baby" I reassure her. I have absolutely no doubt that Lucas will be excited about this, he won't want Rachel to have an abortion, she's just overthinking it.

"Yeah your right, I'm sure he'll take it well and even if he doesn't then who cares this is my baby and I'm going to give him or her an amazing life with or without a dad" she says. "but I really hope he's okay and that he does want this baby, I don't think I can handle raising a baby alone"

"You won't have to, I'll be there with you every step of the way and I'll help you raise your baby alongside of you and Lucas because he will not abandon you or the baby. He will love both of you. I'm sure of it"

"I hope your right" she says

"I'm always right, come on let's head back now and get something to eat I'm starving" I say, she nods and I help her up. We then start to make our way back to the log cabin. Suddenly, out of no where rain starts pelting down from the clouds instantly soaking us. "You've got to be kidding me" I groan

"It's only a bit of rain" Rachel laughs, I roll my eyes

"I'm soaking" I cry out

"Yeah rain tends to do that" she chuckles

"Shut up" I laugh

We finally make it back to the house, once we get inside we go straight upstairs to be dried and changed.

"So what do you want for dinner?" I ask Rachel once we are both dried and in comfortable clothing.

"Pizza" She says

I grab the pizza out of the freezer and stick it on, it takes 30 minuets so while we are waiting we head into the living room and look for a good movie to watch.

"How about Annie?" Rachel suggests

"As much as I love that movie I want to watch something different this time"

"Toy story?" She asks

"Nah seen it too many times"

"47 meters down?" She asks

"Sure I haven't seen that one yet' I say

"Oh it's so good me and Lucas watched it" she says

"Okay cool, you set it up and I'll go get us some drinks"

I head into the kitchen fill up two glasses of Fanta lemon, when I return I saw that Rachel started the movie without me. "Woah thanks for-"

"Shhh the movies on" Rachel snaps. She hates when people talks during movies. I roll my eyes at her and then hand her, her drink before sitting down beside her and watching the movie. 25 minuets in I get up to check on the pizza. As I was making my way back to the kitchen Rachel called me and told me that it was coming up to the good bit and to hurry up before I miss it. I brought the pizza out of the oven and then turned the cooker off. I cut up the pizza into slices and then put it onto a big plate for me and Rachel to eat it from. I set the dirty tray in the sink and made my way back to the living room.

The pizza was delicious and the movie was very good. Once it was over we stuck on another movie. It was called 'to all the boys I've loved before' it was very funny and I really enjoyed it. Me and Rachel decided that we were going to camp out in the living room and watch movies so as she was picking the 3rd movie I went to the bedroom and got all the pillows and the blanket. I brought them into the living room then went to the kitchen to refill our drinks. Before I went back into the living room I went to lock the door.

Me and Rachel sat up until 3 in the morning watching movies, the last movie we watched was 'The perfect date' it was also really good. We were about to stick on another movie but we both decided we were to tired and went to sleep instead.

Today was a really good day, apart from the argument with Kai that is. But this is exactly what me and Rachel needed. A wee girlie trip away from all those boys back at the mansion.
