Chapter 56

Ellie's P.O.V

I woke up to my phoning ringing in my ear. With groan I rub my eyes and check the time.

07:20

Are you serious. It's 20 past 7 in the morning who in earth is bothering me at this time? I've only had like 4 hours sleep! I check my recent call list and saw that I had a miss call from Marcus. Huh I almost forgot about him, I haven't seen him in weeks. Its been about 4 or 5 weeks since I last saw him I wonder where he's been, he hasn't been around the house in ages.

I press the call button and hold the phone to my ear. After 3 rings he picks up.

"Hello? Why are you calling me so early in the morning is everything okay?" I ask

"I'm on my way to get yous something has happened and it's not safe" he rushes into the phone

"What? What do you mean somethings happened what's wrong?" I asked worriedly. I get up and shake Rachel

"I don't know exactly but I was on my way back to the mansion and called Kai, he was going mad and said that he was about to go get you and Rachel when I offered to get yous cause I was closer. I'm about 5 minuets away get Rachel and wait at the front door" he says and then hangs up. I start to violently shake Rachel awake.

"Rachel!"

"Rachel!"

"Rachel wake up" I shake her agains and again, she's a deep sleeper and not is not the time for her to be enjoying her deep slumber.

"Wh-" yawn "What's going on? What time is it?" She asks

"20 past 7" I reply

"You better mean at night or have a very good dam reason as to why your waking me up so early" she growls out

"Marcus is coming to pick us up, apparently something happened so he offered to come get us" I told her what he told me

"Ugh, boys and their stupid Mafia problems waking me up so early in the morning" she grumbles getting up and making her way into the kitchen.

"What are you doing?" I ask her

"Getting breakfast, you want anything?" She asks

"How could you even think about food right now? Something bad is happening and your too worried about getting up early and eating?" I ask her, I feel sick right now. Not knowing what's going on and knowing Kai and my friends could be in danger makes me extremely nervous and scared for them

"I'm hungry and food will distract me from freaking out, that's why I'm eating right now"

"So your stress eating?" I ask

"Yeah you could call it that" she says

We sit down at the table, Rachel is munching on toast whilst I'm just drinking a cup of milk. I'm not in the mood for food. A few minutes later there's a knock on the door. Rachel jumps up to get it but I stop her.

"Wait! What if it's someone dangerous?" I ask her panicky

"It will be Marc" she says

"How can you be so sure? Wouldn't he text to say he's here?" I ask

"Ellie your just overthinking it, it'll be Marcus to get us now come on" she says making her way out of the kitchen. The knocking still hasn't stopped.

"Wait! Rachel I have a really bad feeling about this please can we just phone Marcus?" I ask her

"Fine" he huffs and comes back to the kitchen

Before I could even grab my phone it starts to ring, I jump frightened by the sudden noice and then laugh at myself for getting so panicked. I look st the caller ID and it read Marcus. I sigh in relief and answer the phone, putting it on speaker.

"Hello?" I ask

"Yo, answer the door I've knocked about 30 times!" He says

"Told you it was him" Rachel says

"You've only knocked like six times" I say as I make my way to the door and open it hanging up the phone.

"No it was more than that" he says

"Whatever, lets just go" I say walking out the door

"Aren't yous going to get changed or anything?"  He asks

"I didn't think we would have time to change or pack" I tell him

"About that... nothing is actually happening and I'm not here to pick yous up" he says

"What?" I shout

"Are your freaking kidding me? I could still be asleep!" Rachel shouts

"You had be worrying, I was scared thinking something bad was happening you jerk!" I scream at him slapping his chest, I shoved him outside and slammed the door in his face and locked it again

"I can't believe you woke us up so early for no reason!" Rachel screams through the door. "Ugh I'm going back to bed" she says walking into the living room

"Come on, I thought yous would be a bit happier to see me considering yous haven't seen me in 5 weeks!" He shouts

"Go away!" I shout back

"Ouch" He shouts faking hurt in his tone

'I seriously can't believe you done that, do you know how shaky I was feeling thinking wow that's bad was happening'  I text Marcus

'I'm sorry :( I won't do it again, please let me in it's freezing out here' he replies

'Good, you deserve to be cold'

'Come on don't be like that'

'I'm still annoyed at you' I text back before opening the door for him

"Thank you" He says

"Shut up" I reply, I walk into the living room He was following behind me chuckling. He thinks making me scared is funny. "Ha wait until Kai hears about your little stunt, then we will see who's laughing" I say turning around to see his reaction. His face drops

"You wouldn't dare" He says

"Trust me she would, now the both of you shut up before I go mad" Rachel butts in

Me and Marcus sit down and I put the tv on, I was going through the channels but nothing good was on. I decided to just watch a movie and stuck High School Musical on.

"Don't I get a say on what we watch?" Marcus asks

"No" I say before pausing the movie and going to the kitchen to grab a drink, I grabbed 2 bottles of water out of the fridge. One for me and one for Marcus and then I grab a breakfast bar and an apple since I haven't had any breakfast. When I walked back into the living room and sat down the movie was playing. "Are you serious? I paused it for a... Wait did you change the movie?!"

"Yep, I don't want to watch High School Musical, I've been watching it with Savannah all weekend and the songs have been on non stop" He says tiredly

"Ugh fine! What have you put on?" I ask

"Avengers" he replies

"No"

"Why? You like Avengers and this will probably be the only time I get to watch it cause Savannah hates it!" He complains

"Ugh your so annoying" I say and throw his bottle of water at him

"So why is she so tied?" He asks

"It's like 8 in the morning, I'm tied as well" I reply

"Yeah but I don't see you trying to get back to sleep"

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't know sleeping was a crime" Rachel says

"I thought you were asleep" Marcus states

"I'm trying to but yous are so loud"

"We aren't even that loud, but why don't you take the blankets and pillows back into the room and try get a sleep in there?" I suggest

"Fine!" She says and stands up trailing the blanket behind her.

"So how is Savannah? And why haven't yous been around in ages?" I ask Marcus

"She's good, and I was away for Mafia related work for 2 weeks and then to make it up to Savannah I asked for 3 weeks off and took Savannah away" He replies

"Aww that's so cute, where did you go?" I ask

"Paris"

"You took her to Paris? That's so romantic I'm sure she loved it"

"Yeah she did, she's always wanted to go and we went to Disney land there it was so fun and she loved it I did to if I'm being honest"

"Sounds like you had a good time"

"Yeah we did now shush I want to watch this"
