Chapter 59

Kai's P.O.V

She can't leave me! I love her! She has been mine from the moment she got here and will be mine until we both die. I was so pissed off when I saw that her suitcase was out and that she was packing her clothes. I mean I know we fight, and we have been fighting a lot lately but that doesn't give her the right to just give up on me.

I made a big mistake the other day, I hit her. I told her I'd never hurt her and I broke that promise. I felt terrible, It's not the first time I hit her. But it will be the last!

I don't care what she does I'll refrain from hitting her. I need to get my anger under control but she just gets me so mad sometimes. Before I met her I was angry a lot, I would shout at my men and snap at them, I wouldn't hurt them, physically. Well unless I had a good reason to. When I met her I don't know how or why but something inside of me changed, I wasn't as angry anymore. I really like her and I can't imagine life without her.

When she broke up with me the other night I snapped and hit her. I regretted it instantly and apologised repeatedly. She said she forgive me but I'm not too sure if believed her or if I even forgave myself.

I'm currently sitting in my office, I've just locked Ellie in my bedroom. I'll bring her food in a bit she's probably hungry. I'm not going to let her leave me, plus all her friends are here and she has no where to go. A knock on my door brought me out from my thoughts.

"Who is it?" I ask

"Rachel"

"What do want?" I ask her

"I need to talk to you" She answers back sternly

"About?"

"Just open the door I'm not shouting through the door" she says

"The doors not locked" I tell her

"Oh" She replies before walking into the room and sitting down in one of the chairs in front of my desk

"How can I help?" I ask her with a smirk

"You need to stop being a moody dickhead and start to treat Ellie right again if you want her to even consider getting back together with you" She says, I feel my drop and myself becoming a little angry at the way she just spoke to me. Who does she think she is?

"Excuse me?" I threaten

"Yous are constantly fighting, and everybody especially her is fed up of it. Yous start fights over stupid things I'd expect to come from a 3 year old not 2 adults. Like last week yous started screaming at each other because she changed the channels on the tv show you were watching a-" before she finished her sentence I cut her off

"What's the point in this?" I ask not wanting to listen to her tell me about MY arguments. The only reason why me and Ellie fought over something so silly was because she started shouting at me when I told her I was watching that and changed it back and then she started being cheeky, saying that no one wanted to watching my boring shows and then it just got too carried away from there.

"Look I know you like Ellie, and she deep down still likes you but if you don't stop fighting and arguing she won't want you back. I know she can be a little cheeky and middy sometimes and then with your anger as well as her attitude it causes arguments but if yous both really like each other then yous have to sort something out" she says

"Yeah I know that which is why I'm not letting her leave" I tell her

"But maybe that's what yous both need! A break from all the screaming and shouting" she says

"ABSOLUTELY NOT! She's not leaving this mansion! She's my girlfri-"

"EX girlfriend! She broke up with you and I can certainly see why, yous shout and fight all the time and right now your raising your voice at me and getting angry when I'm just suggesting ways to improve your relationship so that maybe one day yous will be happy again"

"I can give her everything she wants! Money, gifts, trips, love she's just being ungrateful, I mea-"

"She doesn't want that!" She shouts interrupting me "well she wants love but she doesn't care if she's got money or presents! She wants someone to love her and treat her right not try to buy her love, she wants happiness and yous both screaming and shouting isn't going to give her that" she tells me

"I'll try to control myself for her but she's not leaving!" I tell her sternly, making sure to leave no room for discussion.

As soon as Rachel left my office I went down into the kitchen to make Ellie something to eat. I put her on a spicy chicken and sweetcorn pizza once it was ready I put it on a plate and grabbed a bottle of water. I made my way up to my bedroom and opened the door the first thing I noticed was the smashed window.

"What the hell?" I growl out angrily, she did not smash my window and run away!

I set the pizza down on the desk in my office, storming over to the window I look down, it's a brave wee jump, but Ellie was smart and tied my bedsheets, blanket and some of my clothes together to make some sort of rope so that she didn't have to jump as high up. I can't believe this!

I saw a piece of paper in the window sill. I pick it up notice that it's a note

'Sorry for the window, I only did it cause I know you'd have no trouble paying for it to get fixed! Also I'm not a prisoner and I'm not staying here anymore I'm sick and tired of arguing. I wish you the very best, who knows maybe one day we will get back together'

I pull my phone out of my pocket and call my security guards at the gate. I can't believe she thinks I'm going to let her just leave! The fact that she thinks she can get away, I'll find her just like I found her last time when we first met.

"Hello, boss what can I do for you" Chris asks as he picks up the phone

"Where is Ellie? Tell me you didn't let her get away"

"Ellie? I haven't seen her boss are you sure she's not in the house?" He asks sounding confused

"No shes climbed out through the window , how in earth has she managed to get past you?" I shout down the phone, this isn't the first time that this has happened "a.m. I going to have to fire you for not doing your job properly Chris?! Last year you made the same mistake but this time it's a girl you let get past you, one that's not even trained in all this Mafia shit!" I scold him

"I-I'm sorry sir, I swear I was doing my job properly"

"Clearly not if you let her get away!"

"With all due respect sir I'm not the only one that's watching the gates" he says nervously

"Shut up and just do your job!" I say before hanging up

"Rachel!!" I shout throughout the house as I make my way downstairs, I pass Lucas

"Where's your girlfriend?" I ask him

"Living room why? What's wrong why are you so angry?" He asks

"Ellie just fucking smashed my window and ran away" I grit my teeth, his eyes widen in shock

"What?!" He asks in disbelief

"You heard me, I'm going to see if Rachel knows where she went" I tell him walking down the stairs

"Don't hurt her!" Lucas calls out making me freeze in my step

"Hurt who?" I ask

"Rachel! Or Ellie when you find her!" He says all in one breath

"I'm not going to hurt any of them!" I tell him angrily

"Kai your my best friend I know what your like when your mad, just this once try to control it. You and Ellie have been fighting an awful lot lately and as your best friend I know how much you like her so, I'm telling you this as your best mate. When you find her don't scream at her for running away, don't drag her away from wherever she is and don't hit her! Otherwise yous will never be the same again" he says

"I'm not going to hurt her Lucas you have my word, and not just because you told me not to because I don't want to hurt my girl" I tell him and then continue down the stairs and into the living room

Rachel turns hearing me enter the room, once she sees me she rolls her eyes and turns back around facing the other direction.

"Nice to see you to" I grumble as I make my way around the sofa and into her line of view. "Ellie escaped and I need to know where you think she'll go" I tell her, turning very serious again

"That bitch left without saying goodbye?!" Rachel exclaims

"I locked her in my room so he couldn't get away but she smashed my window and claimed down from my bedroom" I tell her, her face changes from annoyed and hurt to surprised and proud?

"That's my girl! She isn't nobody's zoo animal!" She says proudly

"Do you know where she would have went or not?" I ask angrily "we are wasting time here I need to find her!"

"Just leave her be, let her cool down a bit I'm sure she's fine, I have a few ideas of where she is. She'll be safe there and it'll be good for the both of yous to have a break"

"Your not as smart as I thought you were, if anyone sees her eave my estate they could tell any of my enemies and they couldn't find her before we do and hurt her! She won't be safe and neither will whoever she is with!" I educate her

Her face drops into one of fear and worry. "Okay, I'm sure that won't happen" She says warily. Even she isn't convinced what she said is true

"Well you better be 100% sure because you don't sound so certain. You know yourself I'm right and what I said is more likely to happen so tell me, where do you think she would go?"

She sighs "I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing it to make sure that Ellie is safe" she says before taking her phone out and phoning somebody. The phone rings a few times before I hear someone pick up

"Hey, it's me Rachel I'm just phoning to see if Ellie is there" She says

I can't hear what the other person is saying which makes me nervous.

"Oh okay thank you anyway, yeah no everything is fine! Listen I've got to go I'll speak to you later. Love you" She says hanging up

"Well?" I ask

"She's not in Lily's, I'll phone her cousin if not I don't know where else she would go" she tells me

She starts scrolling through her contacts and then I see her press call the phone rings and rings. Nobody answers. She tries again and still no answer.

"Something might be wrong, what's her cousins address?" I ask her

She tells me the address and I order some of my men to come with me for backup incase something goes wrong. Rachel insisted that she same along, I told her no but she kept going on and on and on about it and eventually I agreed to shut her up. Lucas and Oscar came with us and they driver at the very back with Rachel in the car.

Once we arrived at the house, I got out of the car after ordering everyone to stay put. Nothing seemed suspicious and I had no reason to believe something as wrong other than the fact that Ellie's cousin wouldn't answer the phone. There were no cars in the driveway and no sings of force entry. That calmed me down a little. But I was still worried about Ellie.

Worry is a weird feeling, it's one that I never used to feel, sure I was worried about my closest men when they were in danger but I've never been worried over a girl up until I met Ellie. I really do love her, which is why I've come to the decision. I'm going to let her go.
