Kiara's POV

That's it!

I am going to die.

I won't be able to drool over Chris anymore.

I won't be able to eat chocolates.

Oh god!

I am going to die a virgin. Heck, I haven't even had my first kiss yet.

I mean, I might have had steamy make out sessions with my fictional boyfriends in my dreams, but that doesn't count, right?

Who will fight with Arjun and Tina now?

Who will cry after seeing rom-coms and reading sad books?

I hope Maahi meets Harry once in her lifetime.

I hope Anushka finds a hot and caring boyfriend.

Oh no! I am going to die. I am going to die. He will kill me.

Someone help me.

It all started at 6:30 in the morning. I was about to complete my wedding vows for Loki when I woke up from my deep slumber.

Bad timing.

I didn't even get to say 'I do'.

Groaning, I sat up and stretched lazily, my throat dry as I tried to gulp. Almost begrudgingly, I left my precious bed and went to the kitchen to fetch some water.

As soon as I entered the kitchen rubbing my puffy eyes and yawning very unladylike, I saw him and all blood drained from my face. Any previous thought of sleep evaporated as a silent gasp left my lips. His back was facing me as he rummaged around the kitchen, probably looking for something to eat.

I stopped dead in my tracks and stood there completely numb. Fear had rooted me in my place and I couldn't even move a single step. My breath caught in my throat as I kept standing there without any movement. It was so quiet that I could hear my rapidly beating heart which was ready to hammer out of my rib cage any time.

Where the hell was Arjun?

If I die today, my ghost will haunt Arjun, that's for sure.

Where is he when you need him the most?

Hey, I sounded like Ron from Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets.

By the way, I love the movie. It i-

Will you just shut up and focus at the present situation? You're going to die, idiot.

Oh, yeah.

What should I do? What should I do?

I started panicking.

The thought of shouting for help came to my mind but that would certainly gain his attention. My eyes analyzed the place for any source of escape as I bit my lower lip in nervousness. Quickly forming a plan in my head, I tried to step back cautiously without his notice and then run back to my room. But being the clumsy idiot that I am, my elbow accidentally hit a glass kept on the counter. The glass dropped on the floor due to the force and I flinched as it made a clattering sound which echoed loudly in the house.

OH NO.

My head snapped towards him slowly as I realized that he had finally spotted me. Looking at me with evil eyes, he crept towards me with leisure, taking his time.

And all hell broke loose.

I screamed.

I screamed so loud that even my parents could hear it from their home and climbed on one of the kitchen stools.

"HELP! HELP ME!"

"SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!"

I closed my eyes tightly and prayed to God to send someone for help.

Just then a very frantic-looking Arjun came bounding in the kitchen.

"What? What happened? Answer me, Kiara! What the fuck happened?" He demanded, almost shouting, his voice a little hoarse from just waking up. Wearing a simple tee and shorts, he still managed to look like a runaway model with his just-out-of-bed hair.

Would you look at the vein on his arm? My, my.

This was not the time for distractions!

I didn't say anything as I covered my face with my hands and pointed a shaking finger where he was still making his way towards me.

"What? Where?" Arjun asked, confused.

Was he blind or something?

If I make it alive today, I'll book an eye specialist's appointment for him.

Couldn't he see that big, ugly cockroach on the kitchen counter?

"There is a cockroach!" I shrieked.

"Huh?" His face scrunched up as he asked me to repeat myself.

Was there a problem with his hearing too? I think he needed a full body checkup.

"A COCKROACH." I yelled again, gesturing furiously with my hands. "Behind you."

He gave me a look which clearly said that he was going to take me to a psychiatrist as soon as I got down from the stool.

But he couldn't blame me.

I hate cockroaches.

Especially the ones that could fly.

As if listening my thoughts, the cockroach flapped its wings and took a flight in the air.

"Aaaaaaaaa... " I screamed even louder, almost biting my fingers and my lungs were ready to burst with the amount of pressure I was exerting on them.

Arjun quickly whipped around to look at the cockroach, his back facing me.

As I am the genius of the century, cue a chivalrous bow, I did something great.

Note the sarcasm please.

Me being the amazing rational human I am, in a moment of complete absurdity and on seeing that cockroach flying, climbed on Arjun's back. Yes, you read that right. I jumped on him. Literally. I put my arms around his neck, my legs around his waist from the back and closed my eyes tightly, mumbling incoherently with my head settled in the crook of his neck.

His hands immediately shot out to hold my legs to prevent us from falling forward and breaking his teeth.

Have you seen tangled? The scene where Rapunzel climbs on Flynn's back when she gets scared of a rabbit in the forest?

We exactly looked like that. Except the fact that in this case Flynn was much, much sexier.

Slowly, I raised my head and looked around for any sign of the horrendous creature and found him making a beeline for me. So, doing the most obvious and sane thing as anyone else would do, I shrieked loudly, shutting my eyes and tightening my hold on Arjun's neck almost choking him as he cursed out loud and staggered forward.

A few seconds passed and I slowly peeked one eye open but still didn't loosen my death grip around Arjun's neck.

"Would my princess get down now or does she want a piggy back ride?" He asked sarcastically, his voice straining in the end due to my choke hold on him. I was worried that if we continued to stay like that, then a referee would come out of nowhere and announce me the winner of this wrestling match.

I opened another eye, looking around carefully for the horrid beast.

"Is it gone?" I whispered quietly.

"No, he's waiting for you to get down so that he can plan a surprise attack on you."

I huffed at his tone and after doing a last scan, climbed down, now realizing what I had actually done. My ears turned red, my eyes huge, saucer-like making me look like a scared mouse.

Way to embarrass yourself, Kia!

Arjun was glaring at me with a scowl etched on his face, his eyes weary and angry, a little red at the sides.

"What is wrong with you? Care to explain why were you shouting as if the house was on fire this early in the morning? "

Can anyone suggest me some ways to die?

I cleared my throat, clearly embarrassed due the act that I pulled out a few minutes ago. But the problem is I really, really hate cockroaches with a passion.

I mean, have you seen those ugly, vile creatures?

Combing a hand through my messy hair, I opened my mouth to apologize but soon stopped as I came to a realization.

"Oh my god! There is a cockroach in this house." I screeched, covering my gaping mouth with my hands.

"We need to call the pest control right now." I made a run towards the phone when Arjun took hold of my arm and pulled me towards him and I bounced back like a rubber band.

Suppressing a shiver, I wiggled out of his hold glaring at him while he let me. "There's no need to call the pest control."

"What?" I gazed at him in horror. "No need for pest control? Are you really as stupid as you look?"

His face hardened, his eyes widening and lips thinning in a line.

Ahha. What a comeback. I mentally patted my back.

"Watch your mouth." He hissed.

"No. We need to watch the house first. There is a freaking roach here!" I whisper yelled, in case that creep heard me.

"The pest control comes every two months and does a routine checkup." He shot back.

"Then what the hell was that Periplaneta doing here in the kitchen?"

"The what?"

"The roach!"

"Why can't you talk normally like other people?"

"I am talking like normal people."

Blowing a frustrated breath, I looked around and then at him. "What if another roach comes here?"

"Yeah, they might be planning your assassination."

"Should I pack my bags and leave?" I asked worriedly, wringing my hands together.

Arjun face-palmed and ran a hand through his hair, messing it slightly. "I was not being serious. There is an insect repellent in the store room. So, if you see the roach next time, just use it."

"Okay." I nodded, still unsure and glancing around me.

I was about to leave when I remembered the reason why I actually came here. Striding towards the fridge, I came to an abrupt halt when I heard his next words.

"And the next time you try to touch me inappropriately, I'm filing a lawsuit against you."

My back stiffened as I tensed in my spot. I whipped around on hearing his dead serious voice, only to be met with his eyes laced with dry humour.

"What?" I squeaked as he leaned back and smirked.

"The way you jumped on me today."

"I... I didn't do any such thing."

Yeah, of course. And the pigs are flying outside.

I cringed at listening my own lie.

"Who knows, maybe you're dying to jump my bones, too?" He shrugged, effectively ignoring my previous statement as my ears turned pink and my cheeks turned hot.

"Oh please." I scoffed, getting a hold of myself. "You're not even that good looking."

Beep. Beep. Lie of the decade.

"So, you don't wanna tear my shirt to shreds and see the sexy abs that lie beneath?"

I froze as my face turned blank.

Oh god.

He heard my rant.

That's it. I'm going to jump from the balcony. Goodbye life. Though I would have preferred dying after finishing the leftover cake in the fridge.

Looking anywhere but him, I opened the fridge and took out a water bottle, hoping that he would miraculously lose his memory and forget about it.

"Well?" He pressed.

I snapped at him. "You shouldn't eavesdrop."

"It's not my problem you speak so loud."

"I don't speak loudly." I yelled. Crossing his arms, he tilted his head and his lips curved upwards, as if silently proving his point.

That shut me up. Well, I tend to get hyper sometimes.

Sometimes?

Okay! Most of the times.

With a lopsided smirk adorning his face, he walked out of the kitchen while I sagged against the counter, hiding my face in my hands.

Why can't you keep your thoughts to yourself?

How was I going to face him now?

Leave it to me to turn any situation super awkward.

What do I do now?

First, I needed to complete my sleep else I won't be able to function properly the whole day. So, I went to my room and fell on the bed hoping I would finally be able to say 'I do' to Loki.

Half an hour and a good nap later, I finally came out of my room, ready to go to college.

Let's hope that he would have already gone to his office.

I found Arjun sitting on the dining table with his laptop in front of him as he typed with utmost concentration.

Ain't I lucky?

He was sporting a black suit with his hair neatly gelled, opposite to how they had been in the morning.

"Oh look. Here comes my fangirl." He mocked, without even looking up and I gaped at him.

Bloody... Chimpanzee!

That's all I could think of at that time.

I really need to work on my comebacks.

Though he would make quite a hot chimpanzee if you ask me.

But are there even things like hot chimpanzees?

And I have officially lost my mind.

I chose not to answer him as I sat across him and picked an apple from the tray kept on the table.

As soon as I sat down, he stood up closing his laptop. I saw him moving around the kitchen and that's when I realized I couldn't let him go that easily.

"Have a bad day." I yelled after him as he strode towards the living room.

"I hope you have a worse day." He shouted back and my mouth hung open. Though his voice was loud, he was still calm and composed while I was on the verge of cracking.

That son of a...

Ugly hippopotamus.

Quickly standing up and marching after him furiously, I entered the living room, my hair flying around me. "I wish that a car runs over you."

Tying his watch on his wrist, he spoke without even looking at me. "And I wish that a ceiling fan falls on your head."

"I... I"

While searching for an appropriate insult, my eyes glanced up and the ceiling fan happened to be just above me.

Um.

Wait.

Taking two steps away from my spot, I glared back at him.

Paranoid much?

"I hope you go bald." I called out after him when he made his way to the front door.

Ha! Take that you egoistical chipmunk.

He stopped in his way and turned around facing me. Tilting his head, he stared at me intently while I was already racking my brain for another comeback. No way in hell would I ever back down. But I would never have been prepared for what came out of his mouth next.

"And I hope that Thor dies in Avengers endgame."

I gasped.

Oh my god.

He did not!

He did not just say that.

He did not just say that!

Running in front of him, I blocked his passage.

"Take that back!" I growled.

"I won't. What will you do?"

"I said. Take. That. Back." I took a step forward, jabbing my forefinger in his chest with every word I spoke, my eyes spitting fire.

"Make me."

"You're so going to regret this." I clenched my jaw as my blood boiled.

"I'm going to poison your food." I spat with malice, taking another step towards him.

Flashing his brows, he spoke in the most monotonous voice in the history of monotonous tones. "Oh lord. I'm scared."

He's so infuriating!

"Ughh." I shouted. "I hate you." My hands on my side, tightly curled into fists and my nails digging into my palms.

"I was totally unaware of that." He spoke with indifference, his face a blank mask.

"I swear if Thor dies," I started in a warning tone as he came closer to me and I stepped back since I didn't want to collide with him.

"I'm listening." It looked as if he was trying very hard to restrain a smile.

What was so funny for him?

"If he dies, you're going to be in so much trouble."

"You know what, princess?" He mocked, as he walked forward and cornered me. My back hit the wall beside the main door as I glanced at the wall behind me and then at the devil in front of me.

Placing his right hand on the wall beside my head, he leaned in and dipped his head reaching my eye-level. "I would love to see you try." His breath fanned my face with every word he spoke and blood rushed to my ears. He was close, too close. I had stopped breathing as I silently observed him, waiting for his next move.

Wasn't this the part where the guy and the girl usually kiss?

Okay, put a break to your thoughts.

He stepped back, creating some distance between us and finally allowing me to breathe.

How come my tongue and brain oh-so-surprisingly stop working every time he comes near me?

Smirking, he walked out of the house non-chalantly as if nothing happened, not before saying, "Good luck poisoning my food."

I was still standing in my previous position, stunned and baffled.

I detached myself from the wall, slowly walking towards the couch and sat, my head falling back as a sigh left my lips.

He is so difficult to understand.

And his mood swings are worse than that of a girl.

That man is going to make me crazy.

Doesn't matter. You already are a psycho.

True that.

I had just closed my eyes when the ring of my phone startled me and I took it out of my pocket.

It was an unknown number and I swiped the green button, placing the phone on my ear.

"Hello?"
