Chapter Thirty-Four

It has been a crazy week so far, since the blow up between Bella and I, and my cousin as usual wasn't listening to me. I knew she was still trying to get Jake alone without me or one of the guys.. it was driving me crazy especially when I knew it was bugging Jacob but there was no way he would tell her not without us knowing.

The girls and I spent most of the week keeping watch over the town, making sure nothing got in or out... and trying to keep taps on Victoria.

That's where I was right now with Jazz and Quinn, scouting the woods. We were headed over to Emily's and took a detour through the wood trail, we were also helping cover the pack's tracks... They were patrolling while trying to dodge Charlie and I was doing my best to keep both my boyfriend and my uncle safe.

When I fought Laurent I let my guard down, I knew I could have set him on fire or something but at the time I wasn't thinking of anything but protecting Bella. I didn't even think Jasmine and Quinn were with us so we could have taken him out.... I feel foolish.

Even if I was angry at my cousin, I still loved her and I would never let anything happen to her.

"I'm telling you, it's him." Quinn told us.

"Who?" Jasmine asked raising an eyebrow.

"Dillion Merrick... our fourth."

"A male witch?" Jasmine muttered tilting her head.

"Correct term is Warlock Jazzy." I told her glancing at Quinn. "Are you sure?"

"I had a dream about him." She said with a strange look in her eye, I've seen it before. "Think about it we can't read his mind, and he doesn't hang out with anyone... He sits in the library during lunch."

"That doesn't make him a warlock." Jasmine told her pointedly. "Or our fourth... it's normal for witches and warlocks to roam.... can our fourth really be a male?"

"Why can't he?" Quinn asked raising an eye at her. "Warlock's can be part of our covens too.... Just like Elena's dad was part of our mums..."

I looked at Quinn at the mention of Dad, Quinn realized what she said and looked over at me quickly.

"Sorry Lena."

I shook my head, glancing at Jasmine. Quinn saw the exchange and frowned looking disheartened.

"If you really think there is something with him then we'll check him out." I told her making her look at me, I gave her a small smile. "Rather he could be of our coven or not, if you think we should extend a magical welcome then count me in." I shrugged.

She smiled at me brightly.

"Thanks Lena."

We were midway through the woods close to where the Black's house was,. There was snap of a branch behind us.

We froze, sharing a look. There was another snap in front and one beside.

"Lena.." Jazz muttered.

"It's okay." I told her reading her worried mind. "It's only the boys..."

I glanced over at Quinn who nodded in agreement.

"It's around the time they get off." She said making Jasmine look at her and then me.

"How can you tell?" Jasmine asked.

"For one we know their schedule." Quinn told her smiling. "and two look at Elena's face... she's reading their minds.."

Jasmine just stared at her.

"Jared's mind is pretty loud it's hard to ignore.." I added smirking at the mention of my boys. "And Embry's is just as crazy with a certain earth sister" I nudged Quinn, she smiled trying to hide her blush.

Jasmine and I laughed at her.

"Like Paul's mind isn't filled with you?" Quinn asked grinning.

I shrugged feeling proud.

"Never said it wasn't." I retorted smirking.

Just as I said that thoughtful images came flying into my head and arms came around me from behind.

"I missed you." He mumbled looking tired.

I smiled at him, turning around in his arms and leaned up kissing him, he let out a sigh of content pulling me closer.

"Get a roooom!" I heard a couple voices say.

Pulling back, I looked over at the boys and the girls.

I grinned laughing while Paul glared at them.

"Shut up! Or you won't live to see your next meal." Paul snapped.

Jared and Embry looked at each other in shock knowing better than to make my hot head, angry. They ducked their heads.

"Don't be so mean" I said rubbing Paul's forearm to calm him down.

Embry noticed Quinn standing with us, suddenly he was at her side before any of us could blink. He pulled her into a tiny hug.

"What are you guys doing?" Embry asked glancing between us.

Paul moved his arm down around my waist as Sam joined us.

"Covering your tracks." Jasmine said crossing her arms.

"And keeping an eye on Charlie.." I added in agreement. "Thanks to Bella now my uncle is dragged into all of this without knowing the real danger."

I frowned, Paul noticed and kissed my cheek.

"We're protecting him don't worry." Sam told me gently. "Harry is out with him too, he'll be fine."

"Still.... better safe than sorry." I said looking around.

"Come on let's go." Sam said walking off. "Let's pick Jake up and then head to Emily's, you're not the only only one who wants to see their imprint."

Shaking my head at the crazy wolf boy, the rest of us followed. Paul grabbed my hand, dragging me with him, to the tree line.

Stepping out behind the Black's house. Sam let out a loud yelp, calling for Jake.

My eyes glanced around the area, spotting a very familiar truck.

"Lena... isn't that?" Jasmine asked trailing off.

"Bella." I confirmed sighing. "Shoulda known she wasn't gonna listen."

"I've seen this." Quinn murmured making Jas and I look at her. We saw the look on her face, she stared into my eyes, I could see what she was thinking.

My eyes went wide seeing it and gripped Paul's hand a little too tightly. He looked at me in alarm, the entire pack was staring between us.

"Paul needs to leave." I said drawing their attention.

"What why?" Paul asked furrowing his brows.

"It's going to happen." Quinn said staring at the house. "I've seen it."

Shaking my head, I gave Sam a quick tell you later but Paul needs to leave look. He gave a stiff nod knowing me.

I went to drag Paul back into the woods but it was too late. Bella was storming out of the house, in our direction.

"It's too late." Quinn told me.

I frowned, grabbing my shifter's hand and squeezed it in the process. He had a look of confusion on his face but stared at me.

"Stay calm." I murmured under my breath, turning to my cousin. "Bella..."

"What did you do?" Bella shouted ignoring me. "What did you do to him?!" She shoved Sam as hard as she could.

It caused Paul's face to change into a fit of fury, his grip on my hand tightened.

"What did we do?" Paul asked quickly pushing my cousin back a little with his height and fierce voice.

I squeezed his hand, trying to calm him down, it slowly seemed to work, he took in a deep breath.

"Easy!" Sam shouted he gave me a look making me nod.

"There's nothing to see here." I told my cousin, rubbing Paul's back. "Bella go home."

"Not until I know what they did to Jacob! He didn't want this!"

"What we did?!" Paul snapped ripping his hand from mine and moved closer towards my cousin. "What did he tell you?"

"Nothing!" Bella shouted just as loud. "He tells me nothing because he's scared of you."

She moved closer to my wolf, I quickly stuck my arm between the two. Paul and Jared started laughing at that, Embry had a snicker on his own.

Before I could blink Bella slapped Paul in the face.

"Bella what the hell!" I exclaimed my cousin just punched my man. Paul backed up slightly, shocked while I was pissed off. I took a step, shoving my cousin back a little. "You seriously did not just hit my man."

A look of remembrance flashed across Bella's face, her eyes changed into a punished child turning to me.

"Lena I'm sorry I-I don't know why I did that." She mumbled quietly.

I was going to say something else when I heard a soft growl, there was a change in someone's aura and mind... I turned my head, Paul was shaking.

"Paul.. easy."

"It's too late now." Jared said grinning.

"Jared shut up." I told him quickly, staring at my wolf.. I backed away and motioned Bella to back off.. until we were at least a few steps back.

"L-lena?"

"Shut up and back off!" I snapped glancing at my cousin seeing the look off horror on her face, turning back to my wolf.  There was a look in his eyes I hadn't seen but I knew he was beyond my control on calming him down.

Everything happened so quickly... Paul fell forward slightly but halfway to the ground there was a loud ripping noise... suddenly before my very eyes... my boyfriend was no longer there, in his place stood my silver massive wolf... His teeth were bared growling.

"Paul..." I whispered holding my hand up in front of me.

'A-Angel' I heard him whimper.

I took a step towards him, he whimpered moving back like he didn't want to hurt me like Sam hurt Emily, I could see it in his mind.

'It's okay.' I thought telepathically. 'I'm right here, calm down'

Bella looked horrified, she grabbed my arm but I stayed where I was.  Moving closer until I was fully in front of my silver wolf.  Reaching my hand out, Paul let out another whine but I shook my head softly touching the wolf's snout.. The simple touch made the wolf's eyes stare into mine; he was slowly calming down. I moved cautiously until I was directly in front of him. I petted his wolf head.

"Breath baby... calm down..."  I murmured softly, repeatedly.

I almost had him until I heard a door being yanked open.

"BELLA Run!" I heard Jacob shout.

"No don't!" I yelled quickly looking in their direction.

Bella took off running, leaving me behind I might add. Paul saw Jacob running at us, with me in the middle and his mind instantly went into protective mode, thinking Jacob was coming at me.

Sam yanked me out of the way just in time for Paul to shoot towards Jake like he was defending me. Bella tripped and fell on the ground, Jake jumped into the air and phased, charged into Paul.

They crashed into each other, snarling and ramming one another. Ears flattened, their teeth snapping at each others throats as they protected what they thought they had to.

"Paul!" I yelled staring between him and my best friend. "Paul! Jake! Stop it!"

Suddenly Jacob tackled Paul, they rolled off into the forest.

Once they were out of sight, Sam removed his arm from me and gave me a small pat on the arm.

"Can you take Bella back to Emily's?" He asked.

"But Paul..." I muttered staring in the direction Paul disappeared into.

"I'll take care of him, you deal with your cousin." He said quietly.

I sighed, seeing the gentle look on his face and nodded.

Sam looked at Jared and Embry.

"Go with Elena." He ordered giving me another friendly pat on the shoulder and went off into the forest after Jake and Paul.

I frowned. Quinn and Jasmine came to my sides and wrapped their arms around me in a group hug. I sighed feeling their comfort, pulling back from the hug.

We went over to my cousin, kneeling down.

"You okay Bells?" I asked attentively.

Her eyes were filled with slight fear and confusion, staring at where the wolves were just at. She turned to me.

"Guess the wolf's out of the bag." Embry joked whining when Quinn slapped him in the shoulder.

Sighing I grabbed Bella's hand and pulled her up.

Pulling up to Emily's house, Embry drove while the girls and I rode in the back with Jared and Bella was in the passenger seat.

Once he parked, we all got out. The boys let out a 'whoop'. Embry paused only for a second to help Quinn and I both out of the back, Quinn smiled at him and kissed his cheek earning a goofy grin.

"Pay up." Embry said smirking at Jared. "She didn't puke.'

He held his hand out for Jared to hand him five bucks.

"Told you she was tough." Embry added nodding in my direction. "Her cousin's a witch and she runs with bloodsuckers."

"Hey I think we should go back see if Jacob's okay." Bella said rolling down her window.

I rolled my eyes slightly.

"I hope Paul sinks some teeth in him." Jared said saying exactly what I was thinking. "Serves him right."

"No way." Embry retorted jumping down from the log. "Jacob's a natural. You see him phase on the fly? I got five says Paul doesn't touch him."

I rolled my eyes reaching up and slapped them harshly on the shoulders, making them yelp.

"Do either of you want to be cursed?" I asked making them look at each other in shock. They shook their heads. "Then no betting on my boyfriend... or one of my best friends."

They nodded quickly turning to walk inside. I noticed Bella was still sitting in the truck, staring at me appalled. I sighed.

"Come on Bells." I told her gently.

"Yeah we won't bite." Embry added.

"Speak for yourself." Jared said jokingly.

I glared at him.

"Touch one hair on my cousin's head and I'll set you on fire." I told him rolling my eyes.

Embry grinned at that while Jared stared at me. I turned back to my cousin. She was staring at me.

"It's okay..." I told her.

She warily climbed out of the truck, joining me.

"This is the reason you didn't want me around them isn't it?" She asked frowning. "You knew."

I glanced at the boys, sharing a look with Quinn and Jasmine before looking back at my cousin and nodded.

"I've known since I was a kid." I told her honestly. "I told you my family had strong connections to the tribe."

She nodded remembering.

"Elise Lovelace was my Grams sister, she was pack healer. She helped new wolves shift and healed them." I added thinking highly of my great aunt. "She was also an imprint."

"Imprint?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"I'll tell you more later when people aren't around." I told her turning to head in. I paused for a second. "Before we go in... Emily.." I nodded into the house. "She's Sam's fiancé, and one of my friends.. try not to stare okay?" Yes I said Fiancé, Sam had proposed to Emily and I was beyond excited for them, I was the one who helped Sam pick out the ring, I wondered if Paul and I would ever get there...

"Why would I stare?"

I stayed silent, I walked in and instantly shrugged my jacket off setting it down. Walking into the kitchen Jared and Embry were already sitting at the table. Jasmine and Quinn sat down with them.

Emily had the table filled with muffins, she had a tray in her hands, it smelled yummy.

"Oooh Em... is that one of the new recipes?" I asked hugging her without burning my self on the hot tray.

Pulling back she smiled at me.

"Yeah I've been tinkering with it and I finally nailed it." She said brightly. "You were right I needed to add more vanilla and less nutmeg."

I smiled at her, she turned to the boys. I heard the oven beep and walked over grabbing another tray of muffins from it. Emily flashed me a thankful smile.

"You guys hungry?" She asked using a spatula to take muffins off the tray and place them onto a plate.

"Like you really have to ask." I said making her laugh before remembering Bella was standing there.

Emily looked at Bella, her smile faded slightly.

"Bella this is Emily." I introduced watching the guys grab muffins and shove them into their mouths.

"Hmm..." She said glancing my cousin over shortly. "So you're Elena's cousin? The vampire girl?"

I grabbed the cooled muffins, helping Em to serve the boys moving beside her.

"So you're... you're alll...." Bella trailed off staring at us.

"Werewolves?" Emily asked smiling. "I'm just engaged to one."

"They're not werewolves." Quinn told her gaining attention, Embry's arm was draped over her, Embry reached for another muffin. Quinn slapped his hand. "Save some for your brothers."

Embry pouted at her. Since Embry and Quinn have been slowly dating, Quinn has really come out of her shell... It was nice seeing them.

"Muffin?" Emily asked looking at Bella. "Elena and I do this thing were we try new flavors."

"Sure thanks." Bella mumbled reaching out for one. She looked awkward

"Leave it to Jacob to get around Sam's gag order." Emily said looking at me.

"Yeah..." I muttered turning on my cousin. "I'd like to know what happened between you two? When I remember telling you guys to stay away from each other... Jake knows better."

"Lena... I promise, he didn't say anything or couldn't.."

"That's a wolf thing." Embry said chewing on a muffin. "Alpha's orders get obeyed wheather we want to or not-"

"How about you shut up Embry?" Jared said slapping his shoulder.

"You know Jacob's gonna fill her in."

"Yeah I know every stupid thought he has." Jared retorted looking annoyed, eyeing my cousin. "Wanna know what he thinks of you."

"Like you need special powers to know that." Jasmine added.

"Wait so you can read minds, like Elena?" Bella asked looking at me.

"Yes and no." I told her shrugging scooping more muffins from a tray.

Emily went over and grabbed a couple pitchers of ice tea.

"I can read the minds of everyone here but the boys can only hear each others.. it's meant to link the pack together." I added grabbing glasses from the cupboard.

"It's a wolf thing... Good for hunting." Embry said shrugging. "Embarrassing for everything else... For example... Elena you wanna know what Paul was thinking of."

I eyed my best friend, raising an eyebrow, seeing a smirk on his face. My face heated up a little, I already knew what Paul thought, that was the downside of being telepathic, I could read his mind in both human and wolf form.

"Sure if you wanna be set on fire." I added making Embry's eyes go wide. He ducked his head down and went back to eating.

The girls and I laughed at him. Quinn leaned over grabbing his face and gave him a big kiss on the cheek. Em's grin grew wide.

Jared saw the look on Bella's face and a mischievous grin came on his face, he leaned forward.

"Freaking out yet?"

"Why would she be freaking out?" I asked rolling my eyes. "She's got a cousin who's a witch."

"You're not the first monsters I've met."

My eyes snapped over at her at that.

"They're not monsters" I told her defensively.

I was going to say something else but Sam came in. The talking stopped there a little.

"You're good with weird." He said, walking over to Emily. He wrapped his arm around her waist and gave her a kiss on the lips, then kissed the spot where her scar was.

"Uh... Sammy?" I asked staring him down, he turned to me and nodded towards the door.

I heard laughter and turned to see Jacob and Paul pushing and shoving each other playfully. He looked more calm walking into the kitchen. I sat down what was in my hand and rushed past my cousin, Paul's arms opened as I entered them. I hugged him tightly, feeling his head dip into the crook of my neck, breathing in my scent.

I closed my eyes sighing in relief, pulling back. He leaned down kissing my lips. I smiled at him, we needed to talk but now wasn't the time. I was just relived to see him okay. I noticed a scar on Paul's arm, it caught my attention.

He grabbed my hand, leading me over to the table and sat down in a chair, setting me on his lap. I could feel Bella staring at me but I didn't care. Paul reached for a muffin and was about to eat it when Sam coughed, Paul looked at him, then at me for a second before sighing, turning to Bella.

"Sorry." He said smirking.

I noticed Bella staring at Jacob, his eyes met hers and he nodded at the door. Bella bit her lip glancing at me.

I looked between her and Jacob for a long time, I sighed and nodded giving her permission.

There was nothing I could do anymore, Bella knew the pack's secret.

I watched them walk out.

"Ha!" Embry said seeing the scar on Paul's arm and nothing on Jake, he held his hand out to Jared. "Pay up."

My eyes narrowed for a second, staring at Embry, my eyes flashed and Embry let out a small yelp like he was hit on the back of the head. His head instantly snapped to me, seeing the look on my face remembering my threat and quickly handed the money back.  He and Jared both bowed their heads in their plates.

I didn't hit my best friend too harshly just a small tap, I would never really harm them.

Everyone laughed knowing I had a hand in it.

"Smart boys." I told them grinning lightly, I felt Paul kiss my cheek hiding his smirk, proudly hearing the fire in my tone.

I waited until my cousin was gone before everything that happened moments ago caught up in my mind. Paul looked over at me and I nodded to the living room getting to my feet. The rest of the guys stayed silent giving us what little privacy they could.

"Angel, I'm sorry." Paul told me.

"Bella's my cousin Paul." I muttered slowly sliding down onto the couch. "You phased in front of her."

"She slapped me."

He joined me sitting on the couch, grabbing my hand.

"I understand that and I will deal with that part later." I said frowning. "And I know Jake really didn't help the situation but you could have hurt her or me..  it all happened so fast.. if Sam hadn't of pulled me out of the way..."

He stared at me frowning at that, tears were forming in his eyes, I could see him thinking of that. What happened to Emily could happen to me or it could kill me. Seeing his face I stopped talking and sighed.

Leaning closer to him, my hand slowly moved up his hand and rested on his cheek.

"I'm not mad okay?" I murmured calmly. "It wasn't your fault completely, I should have just teleported us out of course then Bella would have known that you know I'm a witch but it would have been a better option."

"No" He whispered quietly, realizing I was right. "I should have controlled my anger better."

"You wouldn't be my hot head for nothing." I told him softly earning a smirk. I glanced at the tiny scar on his arm, laying my hand over it and healed it, even if it was tiny or already healing, it made me feel sad seeing any injuries on him or the boys.  He smiled at me.

His warm hand that I didn't have a hold of, traveled up and laid on the back of my head, pulling me closer to him.

"I love you." He whispered before I felt his lips on mine and I instantly melted.

Paul and I were still in a tiny make out when the door opened pulling us apart. Bella came in trailed by Jacob.

"Lena what are we going to do?" She asked looking scared, sitting beside me She didn't even bat an eye just looked straight at me. "They killed vampires.... Laurent."

I bit my lip glancing at Jake in confusion for a second reading his mind seeing what he had told her. I looked back at Bella.

"I know." I told her nodding.

"Y-you knew?" She asked frowning.

I nodded feeling Paul's hand move down resting on my back.

"I didn't want to especially considering Laurent  helped us last year and he was Tanya's mate... I didn't have a choice." I spoke, a hand slowly crept up to stroke the tender skin on my neck. The marks he had left were still there, it was healing slowly. I normally wore scarfs or hid them in hoodies when around the house and school but here I could let the wound air out a little. I smiled grabbing Paul's hand and laid it on my lap, intertwining our fingers, Paul kissed my cheek in reply.

I looked back at my cousin.

"I'm the one who called them." I added shrugging. "Well telepathically of course."

"So you knew... You knew about everything...." She trailed off looking hurt.

"It's their job Bells." I added defensively.

"But still... This is why you didn't want me around them, why you stopped me from hanging out with Jacob... and said those awful things?"

I stared at my cousin, tilting my head at her sensing her aura. I wished I could read her mind. I glanced at Paul and Jake. They saw the look on my face, Paul kissed my cheek before heading into the kitchen. Jacob followed leaving us alone. I knew they would still hear us.

I turned back to my cousin, reaching over and laid my hand over hers.

"I'm sorry but I had no choice, even though I'm friends with the Cullens and I would never do anything to hurt them." I told her gently shaking my head. "I will never betray the pack either... Jake and Em are two of my best friends, they're my boys and always will be.. I grew up with them, Sam and Jared.. and Paul is a hot head but he's mine..."  I smiled lightly feeling warm in my heart.

Bella looked at me seeing the look on my face and raised an eyebrow at me.

She slowly smiled at me softly.

"I've known about vampires and witches and everything about this town since I was born.. I grew up in it." I told her firmly. "I always knew which lines it ran through... it makes me happy and a little starstruck cause there hasn't been a pack in quite a long time.. it makes me sad too cause now they're dragged into this world.. But my father prepared me for the possibility that it could happen."

She looked at me.

"It was Elise's job to help them through the first shift and to heal them when she could... " I added gently. "My great aunt did it, so did Dad and now it's my turn..."

"But that thing... what was it? I've heard you mention it before... and just now Jake-"

"The treaty?" I asked knowingly.

"Yeah that's it."

"It just states Carlisle and the family can't bite or harm any human." I said nodding in understanding. "And the pack can't touch them unless they do so.... I'm not saying Carlisle would ever let that happen but if they did and violated the treaty I won't be allowed to interfere."

She looked at me.

"You were there?"

"Do I look a hundred years old?" I asked smirking a little at my cousin, I rolled my eyes.. "No I wasn't there but my grandmother and her sister were... The Lovelace clan aren't allowed to take sides... Because we're friends with both sides, it's complicated to fully understand it... Esther and Elise befriended the tribe around the time they and the Cullen's settled here, Elise was an imprint.. she was able to balance all three worlds and was one of the greatest witches in the world next to my Grams of course." I smiled quietly.

"Imprint... You said that before." Bella said drawing my attention.

"I'm not going to tell you about that just yet." I told her softly. "Give it a couple days until the wolf secret sinks in."

Bella saw the look on my face, and sighed nodding. She gave me a small smile for a quick second before frowning again.

"Okay but what about Victoria.... she's here."

I sighed pulling from my cousin, getting to my feet and inched over to where the tv was and crossed my arms, facing her.

"Actually I knew she was here too." I told her earning a shock of surprise.

"You knew?"

"The girls and I... we've seen signs of her and the boys chased her out a few times... Most of the time she stays low." I told her shrugging.

From where I was standing they could all see us and were listening. I could feel Paul's eyes on me but I focused on my cousin.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I didn't want you to freak out like you're doing now." I told her sighing, trying to calm down. "Bella, last year that fight with James.... You almost died! If it wasn't for Edward or Carlisle or any of the Cullens...I was there... I saw the fight.. I was the one who healed you, it took every inch of my energy. You would be dead."

She frowned.

"Victoria is just as ruthless as her mate." I added taking in a deep breath, calming down.

"And she's coming for us..." Bella said breathlessly. "Me?"

I closed my mouth just staring at her.

A few seconds later everyone had moved into the backyard. The boys plus Quinn and Jasmine were spread around a picnic table having breakfast. I drank from a smoothie Emily had made me. My hand was laying in my lap with Paul's fingers weaved through mine.

"Excellent." Jared said like it was nothing. "If the red head's after Bella, we've got bait."

My eyes narrowed at him, flashing gold for a quick second using my telekinesis to make Jared fall backwards off the bench and onto the ground hard.

"Ow..." He mumbled groaning in pain, he sat up rubbing his head and glared at me. "Elena..."

"My cousin is not bait." I told him glaring.

He stared back at me, I flashed my eyes at him again making his go wide and nodded quickly.

"Okay.... Okay I got it." He said quickly holding his hands up in defeat.

"Don't forget she's after Angel too." Jacob said glaring pointers at Jared.

Paul's head turned to him, I could see his mind going in that direction again and squeezed his hand. He looked over at me, I smiled and kissed his cheek. Instantly he calmed down and went back to eating.

"We should leave town." Bella said quietly.

"Yeah we both know how well that went the last time." I muttered giving her a pointed look. "Victoria would follow us."

"And make it harder for us to catch her." Sam added making me nod in agreement.

"Can't you just do what you did to James?" She asked looking at me, tilting her head. "Set her on fire?"

"Technically I didn't set him on fire." I told her shaking my head. "I only lit up the pyre... it was the Cullen's who tore him apart... To burn a vamp whole would take all my energy...Honestly I'm not sure I have it in me..."

"It could kill her." Quinn added making Paul look at her. "Using our elements take a lot of energy as does Elena's healing... It's hard to explain but yeah Elena could die from it."

Bella frowned at that but nodded looking a little worried at that.

I squeezed Paul's hand, calming him down.

"Elena could wipe out an entire town with just one blast too" Jasmine said chewing on a piece of bacon. "Especially if her emotions are a mess... fire can be deadly."

I looked at my witch sister.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence Jazzy.."

She looked at me smiling innocently.

I rolled my eyes in amusement, glancing back at Bella.

"The girls and I will help with what magic we can, we have a protection shield over the house." I added shrugging. "And we have these knuckleheads, they're stronger than they look.....You've already gotten a taste of what a certain hot head boyfriend of mine can do."

Embry and Jared let out small snickers and Jacob smiled at me. Paul leaned over kissing my cheek, making me look at him seeing the smirk on his face.. Everyone watched with small smiles of their own while Sam and Embry both decided to kiss their own imprints.

Jared looked a little sad though cause Kim wasn't here.

I smiled at my boyfriend, laying my head on his shoulder and looked at my cousin.

"Trust me she won't get that close." I added.
