Epilogue

1 month later. . .

Ariana's POV

"Kids, stop running!" I scold the two little angels although they don't seem to hear me and instead keep running around, making a mess everywhere they go.

Before you think otherwise, no, they're not my kids. One of those two angels is Cami and the other one is-

"There you are!" Noah, the supposed angel no.2, runs over to hug Carla with his little arms who in return picks him up and twirls him around, earning a giggle from the six-year-old little boy.

No, he isn't Carla's son. The doctor was right, she couldn't conceive after the incident with the wolvesbane.

Apparently, Carla had become this silent doll without any emotions for days after she woke up post-surgery. She was stuck in the trauma of losing her child. But slowly she started talking to us again although she never spoke to Anthony after the incident. Soon after, I don't know why but she started messing around with random guys up until now.

I can literally feel the ache in Anthony's eyes whenever he finds Carla making-out with a guy but he never does anything to stop her. All he does is walk away and shut himself in his room considering he's currently staying in the castle these days to work with Daniel and Ariel on finding a certain group of rogues who are wrecking havoc in the packs recently. I asked him once whether he had feelings for Carla to which he blatantly avoided the topic. I don't know who he's trying to convince when it's clear as day that he loves her and it hurts him whenever he sees her with another man.

Things had stayed that way for the past two months--Carla deliberately hurting Anthony even if it's hurting her as well. But one of these days, Carla got abducted by the rogues in the woods and while Daniel and I were in Veneton unaware of the abduction, he rescued her and bought her back safe along with Noah.

Oh yeah, Carla found little Noah trapped by the rogues in the rogues' headquarters where she herself was captured and when she eloped away from there, she brought Noah along with her.

There's something different about Noah. I mean, he's a kid but much stronger than a normal werewolf kid should be. I once even saw his eyes fleck golden which indicates he could be a royal. . . There isn't any other royal family than the three existing one and I don't think anyone of these existing families would have accidentally produced an offspring considering all of them are happy and in-love with their respective wives. That brings me to the question whether there's another royal family which no one is aware of? If I had this question later, I would be surprised how right I was. . . .

About Giovanni and Anne...

The thought of them both together always makes me laugh. Like months ago they were at each others throat and I don't even know why. They act like two-year-old always fighting with each other whenever they're together.

But last week, on Cami's birthday party, Anne just suddenly arrived fully drunk and kissed the living daylights out of Gio in front of everyone. He was as shocked as we all were and before we could ask what was happening, Gio scooped her up in his arms and left saying she was drunk and did all this in her drunken state and that we should continue with the party without minding the 'interruption'. The next day though, they were back to being each other's enemy in fact more so than before....I really have no idea what's going on with the both of them.

I took a glance at Carla who was smiling at something little Noah was speaking about. At least, she smiles now.

I've seen that dimmed light return back into Carla's eyes ever since she found Noah. Maybe she feels like she's got her child back in a sense?

I would say she's still in trauma of losing her child and Anthony's betrayal of using her for his revenge. I just hope Anthony mans up and tries to win her back. It's kinda saddening to see Noah being attached to Anthony and Carla when both of them didn't even talk to one another until recently Carla started having small talks with Anthony due to Noah's pestering.

I know for a fact that she still loves him but she's not wrong in her place either. She's trying to get away from him so that he doesn't hurt her again. But the girl doesn't realize that the man is already head over heals for her and wouldn't repeat the mistake ever again.

"What are you thinking so much about, Ari?" Cami's cute bubbly voice brings me back to the present as I look down at the little girl tugging at my skirt, staring at me with those big blue-green eyes of hers.

I smile leaning down a bit so that I'm on her same height, "Nothing. I was just thinking that you look like a princess in this lovely frock." I lie although it isn't completely a lie. She does look cute in the dress.

It's a frilly light purple coloured frock with pink ribbons adorning the sleeves and waist area. There's also a big baby pink coloured bow on the back. Her blonde hair is in two ponytail making her look even pretty and cute. She's such a cutie.

Cami giggles covering her mouth, "Hehe. Noah also said me that. You both are so same." She giggles some more before scurrying away to play back with Noah as Carla puts him down. Both of the kids then resume with their work of wreaking havoc in the house.

I'm about to approach Carla who's smiling at the kids while they are busy making a mess of the castle but I stop on my tracks as I spot Anthony walking towards her. Deciding to give the both of them some space, I head towards my room instead.

As I'm on my way to my room, I'm suddenly pulled by my wrist and into a guest room. I huff in annoyance knowing very well who it is.

"Daniel-" and the man in question is kissing me cutting me off yet again. All my annoyance melts down as those lips mould over mine softly and sweetly before becoming demanding and fiery. I'm into my own haze filled state until he moves back probably for air.

Daniel rests his forehead against mine staring straight into my eyes, "So, Mrs. Rodriguez, would you do the honour of going on a date with me?"

I smile at him and wound my arms around his neck, "What if I say no?"

"Well, then I'll have to find someone else for the date," he smirks while I narrow my at him pushing him away.

"Okay, fine! Go find someone else. I'm not going anywhere." I reply spritedly walking towards the room's door as he starts laughing out loud.

I know I'm being unreasonable but didn't it become a daily thing after..um...I turned into a hybrid? My emotions are all over the place. I feel happy more. I feel sad more. I feel jealous more. Everything is just more. But I like this feeling although it's very saddening when the bloodlust becomes heightened. . . .

Just as I'm about to twist the doorknob, Daniel turns me around in a swift move pushing me against the door and places both of his hands on either sides of me.

"My love, even if try to find someone else, it'll be always you. Because you're my one and only choice. And even if I had millions of choice, I'd always chose you. So, I'll ask you again. Will you go on a date with me, Ari?" Daniel has those puppy-dog-eyes-face mode on. I chuckle at his kidish antics.

"You're so cheezy, Danny." I chuckle some more before resting my head on his shoulder.

Okay, Ariana. Time to say it.

"Besides, what will our baby say if he gets to know that his father was being a child instead of the actual child?" I twist the words trying to give him a hint but the man doesn't get it.

Daniel gives me a quizzical and confused look, "Where did a baby come from in this conversation?"

I feel like hitting his head. He didn't even have a clue!

"I'm pregnant, stupid." I push him away feeling annoyed for the umpteenth time today.

My pregnancy hormones are kicking in and me being a hybrid doesn't help a bit. On the contrary, Daniel is frozen to the spot the moment I say the words and he keeps staring at me. He finally speaks after a moment of staring me like a hawk,

"Is it mine?"

No, he's not asking this. I'm going to kill him.

"No! It's not. It's Santa's," I stomp away angrily towards the balcony and cross my arms over my chest ignoring the irritating man and looking up at the starry night sky.

Soon after, I feel two arms wound around my waist pulling me towards a hard chest. Daniel buries his face in the crook of my neck before placing a soft kiss there. I try to ignore him despite my crazy heartbeat.

"Sorry, sweetheart. I was just stunned, I guess? It just came out of my mouth out of nowhere. I know I'm an idiot," he mumbled nuzzling my neck with his face.

I smiled before turning around to face him while his hands were still on my waist, "Yup. You are an idiot. But you are my idiot."

"Ofcourse, your idiot." Daniel's smile widens causing his dimples to pop out, "Gosh. I'm going to be a father." He has that awestruck look on his face which washes away all my worries.

"Yes, Mr. Rodriguez," I laugh at his excitement as I wound my arms around his neck.

He stares into my eyes with those baby-blue ones, "I love you, Ari. Thank you for giving me this wonderful gift. I'll treasure you both." He places a hand on my now flat belly and leans down to kiss it.

My smile never fades as he stands back up and we're back into our previous position-his hands on my waist, mine around his neck and both of us staring at one another.

"I love you too, Daniel," I say before he leans in to kiss me under the starry night sky.

My life was finally at peace.
