Chapter 131

Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns

Chapter 131 Chapter 131 When Matthew heard that news, he glared fiercely, his eyes wide with anger. “Clarify your words”

Perrin quickly replied, “The arrangements I made using financial means have been uncovered. Plus, the person you copied from has stepped forward to identify you”

He continued, “Right now, public opinion online is overwhelmingly against you, and it’s attacking both you and the Davis family. If I’m correct, this has been planned from the beginning, “From the ending of partnerships, the plagiarism issue, to the reveal of the financial dealings, and now the accuser coming forward, we can clearly see that every move we made was part of his plan.”

Matthew, overwhelmed by what he was hearing, felt a wave of anger wash over him. He slammed his hand on the table and staggered backward in shock.

Seeing this, Perrin quickly rushed over and reached out to support him. “Mr. Davis, are you okay?”

Despite Perrin’s urgent calls, Matthew didn’t respond. Realizing how serious the situation was, Perrin quickly took out his phone and dialed for an ambulance. After he ended that call, he dug into Matthew’s pocket and dialed Nora’s number.

If he remembered correctly, Nora was with Matthew at Zane’s office today; with any luck, she would still be at the company. His hands shook; this was the first time he had faced such a scary situation–fear accompanied him.

Fortunately, the call connected after half a minute. “Dad, is everything okay?” Nora asked, confused. ‘We just had a spat- why is he calling me so soon? Dad barely has time to deal with the crisis, let alone call me!’

After thinking for a moment, she figured he must have a good reason for reaching out.

Perrin was in a state of panic. “Nora, it’s Perrin. Mr. Davis has just collapsed. If you’re still at the company, please come right away.”

Nora’s heart dropped in fear. “What happened to my Dad?”

“Are you at the office?”

“Yes.”

“You need to get to Mr. Davis’s office immediately.”

“Alright.” Nora ended the call and rushed to the elevator, pressing the button frantically, but her anxiety made her run for the stairs instead.

When she reached the sixth floor, she sprinted, losing one of her shoes in the process. Without thinking, she took off the other shoe and ran barefoot toward the office..

As she pushed the door open, she was struck by the sight of Matthew slumped and unconscious in a chair. She gasped. “Dad, what’s wrong?”

Hurrying to his side, she took his hand. “Dad, please look at me. I’m Nora. I promise I won’t upset you again. Just look at me.

Please.”

Matthew didn’t respond. Just then, Perrin spoke up, “Nora, I’ve already called an ambulance. Maybe we should lift Mr. Davis to save time.”

16:0 Chapter 131 “Okay.” Nora nodded and quickly stepped aside. “You carry my dad.”

Perrin hesitated, realizing his slight frame wasn’t suited for lifting Matthew. After considering it, he said, “Nora, just a moment.”

He stepped out and called in two young men for help.

When the young men saw Matthew slumped in the chair, they understood why Nora had rushed in so quickly. Perrin said, “What are you standing around for? Lift Mr. Davis. If his treatment is delayed, can you handle that responsibility?”

The two men hurried over and gently lifted Matthew. Perrin then explained to Nora, “Nora, don’t get me wrong. It’s not that I didn’t want to carry Mr. Davis; I just knew I could accidentally hurt him more.

“It’s better to have two people carry him than just one.”

Nora didn’t respond to Perrin’s words; she only instructed the two men, “Be careful.” Then she followed them out of the office.

Everyone in the company looked on in shock as Matthew was carried out, exchanging worried glances and whispering Their boss had collapsed–the company may be in danger. Worry began to fill the crowd.

Nora noticed this, but the urgency of the situation took priority. Carrying her dad out would cause panic in the company, but people would eventually find out when the ambulance arrived.

Her main concern was Matthew’s well–being; as long as he was safe, nothing else mattered. After Matthew was loaded into the ambulance, Nora remembered she needed to call Rachel and Robert.

But despite her efforts, Robert’s phone was unreachable. Rachel, upon learning of the situation, felt so distraught that she collapsed on the floor, urgently calling for the family driver to take her to the hospital.

At Milton School, the final bell marking the end of the last exam rang. Students stood beside their desks as the proctor began collecting the exam papers.

Only after all the papers had been collected and the proctor left did the students stretch and prepare to leave in groups.

Robert, taking his phone out from his backpack, felt alarmed to see a bunch of missed calls, all from the same person. Anxiety rushed over him as he quickly called back.

The phone rang twice before someone answered, and it was Nora, her voice filled with tears. “Robert, hurry to Sivro First Hospital; Dad collapsed.”

His heart sank at her words. “I’ll be right there.” Robert hung up and dashed to the school gate, but the Davis family’s car was nowhere to be found. Frantic, he spotted a taxi, but it was already occupied.

As he looked around, he saw Elysia stepping into a black sedan, and a glimmer of hope sparked within him. Forgetting their usual issues, he approached the car without hesitation.

He knocked on the window, and Elysia turned to look at him. Her expression was puzzled when she recognized him, and she rolled down the window, her tone cold. “What do you want?”

Robert asked, “Could you give me a ride? I’m in a hurry.”

Elysia frowned slightly, initially thinking to refuse, but seeing his urgent face, she changed her mind. Keeping her usual icy demeanor, she said, “Get in.”

Surprised by her unexpected willingness, Robert hurried to the other side, opened the door, and slid into the backseat.

1001 Thu T Chapter 131 “Where to?” Elysia asked.

“Sivro First Hospital”

Elysia nodded and told the driver, “Head to the hospital first”

Upon hearing this, Robert turned to her, though her expression still seemed detached, warmth flooded his heart. It felt like the distance between them had vanished, “Yes, Ms. Rosewood,” the driver confirmed as he pressed the gas pedal, making the car speed away, Emma stood a short distance away, watching the whole thing. Anger boiled inside her; she had intended to go greet Robert, only to find him getting into the Rosewood family car.

She clearly saw Elysia inside. She wondered, ‘How can they be together? Did Robert lie to me?‘
