Chapter 161
Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns
Chapter 161 Chapter 161 Fabian glanced at the table piled high with exquisite dishes and fine wines, a sly glint flashing in his eyes. All these dishes were made according to his tastes. It seemed Elysia had done her homework on him beforehand.
He thought that the person sent by Spark Entertainment to discuss a collaboration would at least be a highâranking executive, but to his surprise, it was just a young girl. This was really interesting.
âI donât care about the food. Whatâs more important is thisâSpark Entertainment sent a little girl like you to talk business with me.
I canât help but question your companyâs sincerity,â he said in a playful tone.
Elysia immediately picked up on his implicationâhe was criticizing her age. âMr. Evans, youâre known for being decisive, and you value ability above all. Why donât you talk a bit to me before deciding whether Spark Entertainment is sincere?â
Fabian looked at the composed Elysia, his interest piqued even more. He hadnât expected her to remain so calm and collected under pressure. Her business acumen and poised attitude were even more impressive than some seasoned executives.
A small smirk played on his lips as he leaned in. âInteresting. Alright then, tell me what exactly are you capable of?â
Elysia smiled and placed the contract on the table. She gently slid it until it was directly in front of Fabian, then stopped. âAs for what I can do, Mr. Evans, why donât you take a look at this contract? Then youâll know.â
âYouâre quite straightforward. You want to dive straight into a business like this, huh? Shouldnât we enjoy the meal first before discussing a partnership?â Fabian said, a teasing note in his voice.
Elysia remained calm. âWhy not? If a winâwin situation is on the table, thereâs no need to wait. Besides, who says we need to eat first to talk business? If it benefits both sides, we can just go straight to the point. Donât you think?â
Fabian said, âWhat do you mean?â
Elysia said, âInstead of dining for the sake of business, why not call it a celebration? It would make the atmosphere much more pleasant, right?â
Elysia gave him a pointed look. When he didnât speak right away, she added, âIâm sure youâre already well aware of Spark Entertainmentâs reputation and performance.
âIf Spark Entertainment and Fabian Group were to join forces, it would certainly open doors to a bright future. You have come here personally because youâve also seen the potential, right, Mr. Evans? So why not cut to the chase and get to the point?â
Given Fabianâs status, there was no way he would personally meet with any company executive to discuss a partnership.
Although it was Elysia who came, the meaning behind this meeting hadnât changed from the start.
Fabianâs appearance was enough to show how much he valued this collaboration. Of course, there was also the possibility that he was trying to use his status to pressure Spark Entertainment and secure more profit.
As Elysia spoke, Fabian smiled, thinking she was a clever girl. He had indeed underestimated her earlier. Looking at her face, he couldnât help but be reminded of Evelyn.
He thought, âEvelyn had been so cleverâif she had stayed healthy and made it to this age, she would have been just like Elysia, but..
As memories of the past flooded his mind, a wave of sadness hit him. Even though it had been a long time, his longing for Evelyn never faded, and neither did the sorrow of his parents and his brothers.

Chapter 161 âBut could two people really look this much alike?â Suddenly, a thought struck Fabian with surprising clarity. He was distracted.
Evelyn had been a twin. Evelyn was supposed to have a sister, but the girl tragically passed away shortly after birth.

+5 Fabian recalled the prenatal checkup where the doctor had clearly stated that one of the twins was healthy, while the other was weaker, and it was uncertain if she would survive. However, on the day of birth, the healthy one died while the weaker oneâ
Evelynâsurvived.
Although it had been weird, no one had ever questioned it. After all, they had seen the deceased child with their own eyes. And with their longâawaited little sister gone in such a way, they didnât have the energy to consider anything else.
However, now, as Fabian thought back on it, perhaps that event should be reâexamined.
He had a strong feeling that Elysia was somehow connected to his lost sister. However, the details remained unclear, and he couldnât make sense of it just yet.
Seeing Fabian frown and lost in thought, Elysia tilted her head slightly. âMr. Evans, are you done thinking?â
Fabian snapped out of his thoughts upon hearing Elysiaâs question. He knew no matter what suspicions he had, the purpose of his visit today was to discuss the partnership. He should sort out everything else after this matter was settled.
He said, âHow should I call you?â
Elysia said, âElysia Rosewood.â
âElysia Rosewood.â Fabian repeated the name to himself, before finally speaking up, âI think your words make a lot of sense.â
His eyes grew sharp as he picked up the contract on the table, quickly scanning it. Then, without hesitation, he signed his name at the bottom and slid the contract back across to her. âLooking forward to a successful partnership.â
Elysia hadnât expected him to agree so quickly. From his expression earlier, she thought he might be dissatisfied with the terms Spark Entertainment offered. She was thinking about how to handle that when, to her surprise, he signed the deal. She was stunned.
Within seconds, she regained her composure and smiled. âMe too.â
Fabianâs gaze lingered on her smile. It reminded him so much of Evelynâshe used to smile like that. Thinking about it, his suspicions only deepened.
If he hadnât seen her in person, he might have let it slide. Since he had seen her with his own eyes, he couldnât help feeling suspicious.
âA toast to our partnership, Mr. Evans!â Elysia said as she picked up her glass, ready to take a drink, but Fabian suddenly stopped her.
Elysia paused, looking at him in surprise, Fabian said, âYouâre still a kid. Alcohol is not good for your health.â
Elysia felt confused, thinking, âWhy would he care?â
Honestly, Fabian didnât know what was wrong with him. If it were anyone else, he wouldnât have said a word. However, seeing Elysia, he felt an overwhelming sense of protectiveness. He just didnât want her to drink.
Although he didnât understand why she, someone of school age, was out here discussing business, he still felt the urge to 2/3 Onen 3/3 15:06 Sat, 15 Feb Chapter 161 protect her just like he had once tried to protect Evelyn.

Since he had made the request, Elysia simply complied. She set her glass down and picked up the juice beside her, offering him a sweet smile. âFine, Iâll toast with juice instead of wine. Hereâs to you, Mr. Evans!â
âGood,â Fabian replied, raising his glass and drinking it all in one go.
He thought he made the right choice to meet her tonight, When they left Stellar Restaurant, Nicoleâs car was already outside. After a brief goodbye to Fabian, Elysia slid into the passenger seat of the red sports car.
Fabianâs gaze lingered on the car as it drove off, watching it disappear into the distance before finally pulling his eyes away.
