Chapter 194 Zane wondered, ‘If Elysia is from the Evans family, why hasn’t there ever been any news about a missing kid all these years?

Who brought Elysia to Sivro and abandoned her in the mountains? She was just a baby–who would do that to an infant?‘

Zane’s fists clenched in anger. He thought, ‘Once I find that person, I’ll make sure he pays dearly for what he did.

He thought, ‘I won’t let anyone who hurt Elysia off the hook, not the Rosewood family, not even the Evans family. If they dare to upset her, I will stand against them.

He glanced at Elysia, his eyes softening. “Elysia, do whatever you want. I’ve got your back.”

Elysia smiled and thought, ‘Where does Zane get the idea that I need someone to protect me? Do I seem that weak? But the feeling of being protected Is kind of nice. So she happily agreed, “Thanks, Zane.”

Zane knew full well that with Elysia’s abilities, she didn’t need his help. Just being the owner of Arcanum House was enough to have people falling all over themselves to please her.

If she wanted something, all she had to do was lift a finger, and it would be done. But Zane just couldn’t bear the thought of her getting her hands dirty, not even a little bit. He’d deal with the Rosewood family himself.

Elysia hadn’t told him everything about Arcanum House, but he could guess. The way she went there with her friends, and the respect she got from the staff–it was clear she was the owner of Arcanum House.

Although Zane was surprised, but also felt reasonable because Elysia does have such an ability. He wondered what people would think if they found out that the he owner of Arcanum House was a young girl.

Holden had been standing nearby, watching the two of them. He couldn’t hear their conversation, but he could tell Elysia was in a good mood. Seeing her smile and laugh, but not at him, made his heart ache.

He felt anxious and was sure Zane would be with Elysia one day. Holden knew he couldn’t handle this alone. He needed to tell his older brothers. They tease him often, but this wasn’t the time for internal conflicts. They needed to stick together.

He glanced at the two still talking by the stone table. They seemed to be deep in conversation, so he quietly slipped away to a secluded spot and called Fabian. “What’s up?” Fabian’s voice was deep and steady.

“Fabian, this is bad. Elysia is about to be taken away by Zane.” Holden’s voice was urgent.

Fabian’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. He looked at Javier, who was sitting next to him, and put the call on speakerphone. “Holden, what are you talking about?”

“Zane came to the Arcanum House, and Elysia called him ‘Zane‘. They seem close, I can tell, as a guy, that Zane has feelings for her,” Holden said.

Now Fabian and Javier understood. They exchanged glances. Javier was the first to speak, “If I remember correctly, Zane is twenty–seven this year, right? Elysia is still so young. How dare he have such an idea? Does he think the Evans family is a pushover?”

He continued with a different tone, “I never thought he’d be this sly. If I had known he’d end up competing with us for our sister, I’d never have been friends with him.”

Hearing Javier’s complaint, Holden nodded in agreement. “You’re right. You guys weren’t there. I saw Zane pat Elysia on the head. It made me so angry I almost punched him.”

“So why didn’t you?” Javier asked.

“I...” Holden was momentarily speechless, but quickly explained, “I wanted to, but Elysia was there. I didn’t want to make a bad impression in front of Elysia. Besides, I figured I’d better call you guys and let you know what’s going on.”

Chapter 194 Javier just gave him a look that said he wasn’t buying it, but let it go, +13 Fabian hadn’t said anything the entire time. He got upset and thought, ‘Why does Zane have to go after Elysia? At twenty-

seven, doesn’t Zane have any conscience? If he dares to pursue Elysia, I won’t hesitate to throw our childhood friendship out the window!

When Holden got back after making the call, the courtyard was empty except for Elysia. Seeing that Zane was gone, Holden’s steps were much lighter. “Elysia, where’s Zane?” he asked, sitting down. Elysia glanced up at him and replied, “He left”

Hearing that, Holden felt even more relieved and thought, “That’s great! Seeing the unmistakable joy on his face, Elysia raised an eyebrow. “Why are you so happy?”

“Am I that obvious?” Holden tried to play it cool.

Elysia ignored him, idly playing with her coffee cup, But Holden seemed to remember something and quickly said, “Elysia, Zane is way too old for you. Besides, you’re not even at the age for dating”

“We’re not dating,” Elysia clarified.

Hearing this, Holden’s heart finally settled, and thought, ‘Not dating yet? That means there is still time. He was about to say something when his phone rang again–it was Mike, who had been calling non–stop for a while.

He hesitated about whether to answer when Elysia spoke up, “Maybe it’s something important. Just take the call.” Hearing that, Holden answered the phone. Mike’s anxious voice came through, “Holden, where are you?”

Before Mike could continue, Holden’s agent someone to pick you up,”

the phone. “Holden, this is Wendy. Where are you? I’m sending “I have something really important to do. I won’t be going to the set for a while,” Holden replied firmly.

“Holden, how can you do this? The show can’t go on without you. You’ve always been so dedicated. What’s going on today?”

Wendy was upset.

Holden’s brow furrowed. He had entered the entertainment industry out of passion, and he had always worked hard to be perfect. But now, he had something more important than his career on his mind. He glanced at Elysia and said resolutely, “I’m sorry, Wendy...”

Before he could finish, Elysia took the phone from him. She turned away and spoke into the phone, “Hi Wendy, this is Elysia.

He’s with me. You don’t need to send anyone. I’ll make sure he gets back without delaying the shoot.”

Wendy’s eyes lit up. She remembered Elysia from the Star Venue in Sivro, the girl who had accompanied Holden on the piano.

She couldn’t forget that stunning face.

She hadn’t expected that Elysia and Holden would be together. This made things much easier. “Ms. Rosewood, if you can help me out, you’ll be solving a huge problem. When you have time, I’ll treat you to dinner.”
