Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns

Scott felt anxious. From their recent encounters, it was clear that Elysia was no ordinary individual. If she did not obtain the answers she sought today, it was likely she would take extreme measures, and at that point, it would be too late for regrets.
After carefully weighing his options in his mind, he spoke as if making a monumental decision, âI have not met that individual.
During the transaction years ago, we only communicated via phone.
âHe wanted Bellaâs child, yet he had no interest in a living infant, only a deceased one. So, to ensure a smooth process, I took Bella to Jorlandia several days before her due date and admitted her to the hospital arranged by him.
âAfter the child was born, I suffocated her with my own hands and left her in the location specified by him. After that, I took off. He was very cautious; even our phone conversations were altered. So, I really know nothing about his identity.â
Elysia clasped her hands together, undeterred by the truth of Scottâs words. If even the Evans family could not uncover any clues, then his mind was surely sharper than most.
It seemed she had misjudged earlier; it was not Scott who had replaced the infant, but rather the individual he had mentioned.
However, she was quite curious about how he managed to perform such an act without drawing attention.
Yuna had tasks to attend to once again.
Elysiaâs gaze swept over Scott, who was clutching his forehead in guilt. Her tone was frigid as she said, âSomeone like you might not feel indebted to others.â
With that, she turned and walked away.
Scott stared at her disappearing figure, lost in thought. Elysia was correct; he had never felt indebted to anyone. To him, those who served his interests were merely doing their jobs.
From a different perspective, it was he who helped them realize their value; they ought to be grateful.
Exiting the prison, Elysia slid into the backseat of the car, a mischievous smirk playing on her lips as she quipped, âYuna, you got tasks.â
âElysia, what do you need me to do?â Yuna replied, focused and ready for action.
âInvestigate the people involved in Mrs. Evansâs delivery from years ago. Remember, no detail is too small. Pay special attention to those who registered at the hospital months before, or within a year of her delivery, or those who left immediately after.â
âYes, Elysia,â Yuna confirmed, determination in her voice.
âGreat. Letâs head back to Arcanum House.â
âAlright.â Yuna nodded, and they set off.
As Elysia gazed out of the window, she pondered. If her deductions were correct, this mysterious individual must have had an excellent cover to act without arousing suspicion among the crowd.
She thought, âWhat identity could allow someone to enter and exit the delivery room without raising eyebrows? Surely, only a doctor or a nurse would suffice.
This approach might just lead to breakthroughs.
Upon reaching Arcanum House, Elysia found Jack and the others seated in her courtyard, sipping coffee. Upon seeing her, their faces brightened with genuine delight.

Chapter 229 âElysia,â Jack exclaimed.
Hearing his voice, Elysia approached with a simile. âJack, when did you all arrive?â
âJust now. Alyce told us that you had gone out for errands, so we waited here for a bit. How did it go? Did you resolve everything?â
âEverything has been settled,â Elysia aflirmed.
âThatâs good to hear,â Jack said, taking a sip from his cup. âElysia, since weâve been in Sivro for a while now, itâs about time we head back. Will you come with us, or would you prefer to stay here?â
Originally, they had planned to return together, but after Elysia recently acknowledged her godparents, she wasnât entirely alone in Sivro. Jack wanted to know her thoughts. If she wished to stay, they would respect her choice.
Elysia could easily read their thoughts; however, she had already made her decision. Once she wrapped up her matters, she intended to accompany the elders back to Silverstream. This choice was unchangeable.
Linking her arm with Jackâs, she softened her voice, âJack, I want to return with all of you.â
As Leo and Max had worried she might choose to remain in Sivro, their hearts finally eased upon hearing her decision.
They had longed for this moment. Although they understood Elysia wouldnât stay with them forever, they would find joy, even if it was just for a few days or months.
Jack felt a joy that matched Leoâs and Maxâs. âWho wouldnât want Elysia by their side always?â
Yet, they would honor her decision, particularly after the ordeal with Scott.
The group stood up in high spirits, returning to their rooms. Elysia watched their aging forms disappear, her smile gradually fading, The elders were growing old. Memories of her childhood flooded her mind, recalling the moment she concocted her first medicine, with Jack twirling her around in the courtyard, delight radiating from his face.
At that time, she had only been five, while Jack had been far sturdier than he was now.
During her youth, she had been scorned by the other children in the village until Leo defended her, fighting for her rights.
After Max learned of this, he intensified her training, asserting that only by defeating them through her own merits would she earn their respect and deter future bullying.
Thus, at the age of seven, she threw a chubby boy, two years her senior and significantly taller, into a pool. He never dared to bully her again, nor did the other village children, who began to avoid her, fearing her wrath.
Eventually, that chubby boy became her subordinate, dutifully following her commands.
Years passed, and while she had grown, the elders had aged beyond recognition.
Reflecting now, she cherished her childhoodâthe days spent beside the elders were among her happiest.
Her gaze fell upon the courtyard, observing every blade of grass and flower. Elysia sighed, knowing she would soon leave.
âWhen will I return? How is Elena faring these days? Has Ava been studying diligently?â In her contemplation, she pulled our her phone and dialed Elenaâs number, coincidentally, Ava was nearby.
As soon as the call connected, Avaâs voice chimed in, âElysia, do you not love me anymore? You havenât called me,â
âAva? Are you with Elena?â

Chapter 290 âOf course. Otherwise, how would I know youâre only calling her and neglecting me? Iâm upset? Avaâs tone was playful, clearly not genuinely angry Ava, I planned to call you right after Elenaâ
âI donât care: you clearly donât love me anymore.â
âWell then, shall I call you first next time?â
Elena raised an eyebrow, shooting a disapproving glance at Ava. âElysia, donât mind her. Iâll handle her shortly?
Ava, upon hearing this, quickly grabbed Elenaâs arm, looking pitiful âElena, Iâm so adorable. Could you really bring yourself to discipline me?â
Seeing Elenaâs silence, Ava leaned closer to the phone, pleading with Elysia on the other end, âElysia, save me, I want to live a bit longer.â
Elysia chuckled at the plea. âElena, let her go this time. Sheâs just a little kid it wouldnât do to harm herâ
âVery well,â Elena relented. âIn light of Elysiaâs appeal, Iâll spare you todayâ
Ava sighed with relief, grateful to avoid punishment.
Elena then turned to Elysia, asking, âElysia, what brings you to call today? Are you coming back to school?â
