The impact was significant; Ryan was thrown to the ground. He looked up at Zoe in front of him, surprise flashing in his eyes.
Before he could even think about fighting back, Phoebe charged forward, grating him by his collar. Her voice dripped with anger as she shouted, âWho do you think you are, deciding the fate of others?
A smirk appeared on Ryanâs face. âI raised her!â
As soon as those words left his mouth, he received a powerful punch to the jew Wiping away the blood that trickled from the corner of his mouth, Ryan regarded Phoebe with a twisted sense of amusement.
He said, âLittle girl, youâre quite strong, I assume you work out regularly?â
He made his move, taking advantage of Phoebeâs momentary distraction and delivering a sharp kick to her back. They instantly became locked in a fierce struggle.
Though Ryan was skilled in combat, Phoebe stood her ground, and for a long time, they were evenly matched.
As their fight continued, the others arrived on the scene. Max rushed forward and delivered a quick kick to Ryan, swiftly taking control with just a few skilled movements.
âYouâve picked the wrong place to cause trouble, havenât you?â Max kept his cool as he held Ryanâs arms behind his back.
Ryan said, âYou two are ganging up on one person! Hardly seems fair âIf you think thatâs unfair, should I let you go for a proper match?
âGo ahead.â
Max chuckled at Ryanâs challenging expression, shaking his head in disbelief. âYou seriously think you can provoke me into letting you go? Not happeningâ
He then turned to Phoebe, instructing her, âPhoebe, get me a rope. Something strong and thick.
At his command, Phoebe quickly grabbed a length of hemp rope from a hook and handed it over. âMax, this is good. If you want something more, I can get you a chain from my place.â
âThis will do. Iâll keep an eye on him; he wonât get away,â Max assured as he bound Ryan tightly. Turning to his brothers, he said, âLetâs get moving before we keep Elysia waiting too long Jack said, âPhoebe, youâre coming with us. Elysia called earlier and insisted on seeing you.â
Phoebe glanced at Zoe. âJack, what will happen to her if I leave?â
âDonât worry, she wonât die. Besides, Damon comes by every day to give her water and food; she can hold on for now.â
With that reassurance, Phoebe nodded. âThen I have no further concerns.â

There are no mountains of hatred born from nothing; Ryanâs calculated schemes must surely have some reason behind them.
Her gaze intensified as she grabbed her phone and called Yuna. âLook into the connection between Ryan and the Evans family. I want results by tomorrow morning.â
âGot it.â
After the call ended, Elysia remained at the window, checking her watch. The elders should be here soon. Tomorrow, the truth would finally come to light.
The next morning, just after six oâclock, Elysia came down the stairs. She noticed Ryan, tightly bound, being escorted in, and a playful spark appeared in her eyes.
Edward and the others, having heard the news, also made their way downstairs. Upon seeing Ryan on the floor, surprise crossed their faces.
âElysia, whatâs going on here?â Edward asked, pointing at Ryan, confusion evident on his face.
Elysia smiled subtly as she approached Quinita, then turned to the others with a playful tone. âHow about I entertain you with an interrogation?â
âAn interrogation?â
âYes.â After saying this, she released Quinitaâs hand and walked over to join Jack, casually linking her arm with his. âThis is Jack, and next to him are Leo and Max.
As they descended the stairs earlier, the Evans had noticed the elders in the living room and had guessed their identities, wanting to greet them. However, upon seeing the butler tied up on the floor, they hesitated, puzzled by the situation.
Now, with Elysiaâs introduction, Edward stepped forward and shook Jackâs hand respectfully. He then looked at the other two, giving a slight nod.
Edward said, âIâve long wanted to meet you. The last time we were at Silverstream, I missed the chance; Iâm glad Elysiaâs reunion party has brought us together.
âFor all these years, Iâm truly thankful for how youâve taken care of Elysia. No compensation could ever truly express my gratitude.â
Listening to Edward, Jack could tell that this man was honorable and a good father, which eased his heart.
Jack replied, âMr. Evans, weâve treated Elysia like our own granddaughter, and we never sought anything in return. As long as you treat Elysia well, weâll have no regrets.
Edward nodded. âRest assured, my daughter will never lack for anything under my care.
âWell said.â Jack nodded, his gaze drifting to the bound Ryan. âElysia, letâs get started.â
Looking back at Edward, he added, âMr. Evans, letâs step aside and observe this.â
The group settled into the sofa as Elysia regarded Ryan, a smile playing on her lips. âNow, why donât you tell me? What was your motive behind this?â
Ryan said, âI donât understand what you mean.â
âIt was you, wasnât it? The one who switched the babies at the hospital.
