Ryan said, “You still deny it? I lay beneath the bed that night, hearing them say, “This is Edward’s order.“”

For all the years that had gone by, that phrase had been burned into his memory, a never–ending source of torment.

He recalled the smile on his father’s face upon returning home, how he praised Edward’s virtues, even though that man proved to be utterly untrustworthy–a liar who talked about mercy while plotting doom behind closed doors.

Edward had shown his dad no mercy, and Ryan vowed to offer Edward none in return.

“I know that no matter what I say now, you will not believe me. But I maintain my innocence.” As Edward finished speaking, a woman dressed in leather walked in from outside, an aura of chill surrounding her.

She marched directly to Elysia and handed her the documents she held, saying, “Boss.”
