Phoebe wasn’t sure what Elysia was trying to convey with that look in her eyes, so she just spoke her mind. “Me? I’m going back to Silverstream, of course. Where else would I go?”

“Good. I’ll go back with you.”

“Are you coming with me?” Phoebe’s eyes widened in shock. Elysia nodded and explained, “If I don’t go back soon, the woman in the cabin might not make it.”

Phoebe suddenly remembered. There was still Zoe locked up in the cabin. Everyone except Edward, Quinita, and Yehoshua knew about this, so they understood what Elysia meant.

“Woman in the cabin?” Yehoshua raised an eyebrow, clearly confused.

Elysia suddenly realized that Yehoshua and her parents didn’t know about this. She was about to explain when Edward spoke up. “She must be one of Elysia’s patients.”

Elysia blinked in surprise, glancing at Edward. She thought, ‘A patient? Dad’s completely misunderstood.’ But decided not to correct him. Being seen as a healer was far better than being labeled a cold–blooded killer.

Chapter 287 “A patient?” Yehoshua was even more confused now. ‘Elysia was just a kid. How could she have patients?‘ he wondered.

Javier shot him a sideways glance, his voice full of disdain. “Pathetic.” But as soon as he said it, he noticed Fabian’s gaze and quickly added, “Uh, I didn’t mean to encourage him or anything.”

At those words, Fabian finally looked away, and Javier let out a long breath, visibly relieved. Only Yehoshua remained frowning.
