Chapter 337
Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns
Chapter 337 Chapter 337 Elysia blinked, thrown off by Phoebeâs words. What did she mean I havenât met many guys? Iâve met plenty, havenât I she thought to herself.
Phoebeâs smile stretched wider as she noticed Elysiaâs puzzled expression. âCome on, Elysia. Admit it. Is Zane the best- looking guy youâve ever seen?â
Elysia shot back quickly. âThatâs not true. My brothers are pretty goodâlooking too.
âWho else besides your brothers?â Phoebe pressed, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.
Elysia paused, thinking it over. She realized that aside from her brothers, Zane was the bestâlooking guy sheâd ever crossed paths with.
âCome on, Elysia,â Phoebe teased, her smile widening. âI know you too well. Looks are everything to you, but what if you meet someone even hotter than Zane down the line?â
Elysia just shook her head, not missing a beat. âWhy stress about hypotheticals?â she replied. âLifeâs too short for that. Gotta live in the moment.â She saw Phoebe about to argue and quickly cut her off with a raised hand. âLetâs just drop it, okay?â
With a big yawn, she stretched her arms. âSave the weird questions for another day. Iâm beat. Night, Phoebe.â
Before Phoebe could respond, Elysia turned and walked away. Phoebe stood there, a sly grin spreading across her face as she watched Elysia disappear down the hall.
Phoebe saw through Elysiaâs break as just an escape from the issue. Her confident facade couldnât hide her inexperience in love.
Phoebe didnât think Zane was bad, but she felt a pang of pity that Elysia didnât have more romantic stories to share.

Meanwhile, Zane was in his study, legs crossed. He picked up the phone and dialed Barry.
âMr. Hartley, what can I do for you?â Barry asked.
âHowâs the Janssen family doing?â Zane asked, leaning back in his chair.
âSeveral partners have pulled out of their contracts with the Janssens. Their companyâs finances are in shambles. Denzelâs overwhelmed, and it looks like theyâre headed for a fullâblown collapse,â replied Barry.
After a pause, Barry added, âMr. Hartley, should we ease up a bit?â
Zane raised an eyebrow. âEase up? Why would we do that?â
âMr. Evans is backing off, giving the Janssens some space,â Barry continued.
Zane shook his head, his tone sharp. âHe doesnât know what happened tonight. We canât let up on people like them. If Denzel has a problem, he should look in the mirror for raising a daughter like Bianca. Sheâs nothing but trouble.â
âUnderstood, Mr. Hartley,â Barry said.
Zane added, âSince Mr. Evans is cooling it, weâll turn up the heat. In three days, the Janssen family should be in the dumps. And ensure Grace stays locked up for good. No early parole.â
âGot it,â Barry replied.
Chapter âHâHow did this... The book you reading has updated with drama episodes, read it nows After hanging up. Zane leaned back in his chair, eyes halfâclosed.
Heâd wanted Fabian to know about tonightâs mess just to give the Janssens more trouble. But knowing Elysia Sooit ward Fabian to worry, he decided to settle the score with the Janssens for both the Evans family and his own Meanwhile, Fabian just walked into the Evans residence, shaking off the dayâs work.
Edward was already there, giving him a puzzled look. âYou went to Sivro, right?â he asked, eyebrows raised.
Fabian nodded. âYeah, I checked out Elysiaâs university. Needed to see it for myself?
Edwardâs tone turned a bit more serious. âAnd I heard you sent a lawyerâs letter to the Janssens, Whatâs that about?
As soon as he mentioned the Janssens, everyoneâs attention snapped to Fabian. Holden was quick to jump in. âFabian, what did the Janssens do this time? They got under your skin again?â
Fabian shook his head. âItâs not about me. They crossed Elysia,â
The room immediately tensed up. Everyone sat up straighter, their expressions turning serious.
Quinita leaned forward, her eyes wide. âFabian, seriously, whatâs going on? How are the Janssens involved with Elysia?
Holden couldnât stay put. âFabian, spill it! Whatâs going on?â he pressed.
Fabian glanced at the worried faces, then casually flopped onto the couch. He began recounting the rumors Bianca had spread about Elysia, and the room fell silent.
When he finished, Quinita exploded. âThe Janssen family? Theyâre something. What kind of kid did they raise? Sheâs a pro at making up crazy stories!â She slammed her hand on the table so hard that everyone jumped.
Quinita losing her temper was a shocker. She was usually so softâspoken, and after Evelyn passed, sheâd gone super quiet-
hardly ever got mad, let alone yelled.
This was the first time any of them had seen her like this. It was like Elysiaâs return had given her a new lease on life.
Edward snapped back to reality and quickly gave Quinita a reassuring pat on the back. âHey, Quinita, take it easy. If anyone tries to mess with Elysia, theyâll have to deal with me first.â
He nodded at her, then turned to Fabian, his voice tinged with irritation. âBut seriously, Fabian, why didnât you let us know about this earlier?â
Fabian just shrugged, looking unruffled. âWhy would I? I can handle it myself. Besides, you already cleared Elysiaâs name on Twitter that night. I didnât think anyone would be stupid enough to spread rumors about her again.â
Everyone exchanged glances, finally realizing why Fabian had posted on Twitter that night. Theyâd all thought he was just acting on a whim, but there was clearly more to the story than theyâd realized.
Knowing the full story, they felt a mix of anxiety and relief. It was lucky that Fabian had gone to Sivro and discovered the situation. Elysia likely would have kept it to herself and handled it alone if he hadnât found out.
Quinitaâs fingers dug into Edwardâs hand. âWe need to go to Sivro and see Elysia,â she said, her voice shaking just a little. She couldnât hide how worried she was.
Edward looked at her, seeing the desperation in her eyes. He nodded without hesitation. âWeâre going. I need to get to the bottom of this with the Janssens. Theyâve got some explaining to do for how they treated our daughter.â
Holden jumped in, his eyes bright with determination. âIâm going with you, Dad, Mom.â
9/3 08:40 Tue, 18 Mar GOB Chapter 337 Fabian glanced at Holden, his tone flat. âYou sure you can handle it? Elysia needs real support. If you canât stand up to the Janssens, youâll just be in the way. Maybe you should stay here.*
Holden bristled. He couldnât believe Fabian thought heâd be a burden. There was no way he was staying behind.
Holden opened his mouth to argue, but one look at Fabianâs serious expression made him stop cold. He glanced over at Edward, hoping he might back him up. But he already knew it was a lost cause.
Edward sighed and said, âHolden, your brotherâs got a point. You need to stay here and lay low. No need to go looking for trouble.â
Holdenâs shoulders slumped. He couldnât believe that, to Fabian, tagging along was just a hassleâand even his dad felt the same way. He wondered if he was really such a pain.
Javier and Yehoshua kept their mouths shut, having learned from Holdenâs experience. They knew their parents would never let them go, so they didnât even ask.
Fabian hadnât told them when he went to Sivro, so they figured it was better to just go their own way too.
