Chapter 352
Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns
Chapter 352 Yehoshua gave a small nod as if to say, âIf youâre not going to wash, should we do it for you?â
Holden felt pretty annoyed. He glanced around at Fabian and Javier, but neither of them seemed willing to help. He turned to Quinita behind him, giving her a look as if saying, âMom, look. Theyâre picking on me!â
Seeing Holdenâs sad face. Quinita felt her heart soften. She quickly glanced at Edward and said, âTheyâve never done the dishes, have they? Maybe we should just use the dishwasher.â
âItâs just doing dishes. How hard can it be? Plus, theyâve got to start somewhere. Theyâve had everything handed to them their whole lives. Itâs time they learned to do something on their own,â Edward replied.
âDid you hear that?â Yehoshua raised an eyebrow.
Looking completely lost, Holden nodded and suddenly found a rag in his hand. âAlright, then show us youâre actually paying attention,â Yehoshua added.
With that, he turned around and started wiping down the counter.
Holden stared at the rag for a moment, sighed deeply, and shuffled over to the sink. Without a word of complaint, he started washing the dishes.
He really didnât have much of a choiceâbeing the youngest meant he was at the bottom of the food chain.
Meanwhile, Edward was holding Quinita in his arms as he headed toward the couch. Elysia glanced at them briefly and then turned her attention to the four busy people in the kitchen. She felt a bit sorry for themâthough that lasted only about three seconds.
But before she could even finish feeling bad for them, Quinita noticed that Elysia hadnât followed and stopped. She waved her hand and called out to her. âElysia, come over here!â
Elysia quickly caught up and linked arms with Quinita. Once they were both sitting on the couch, Quinita seemed to remember something and asked, âElysia, where have you been staying while youâve been in Sivro?â
At that, Elysia froze. She hadnât expected Quinita to ask that. In the kitchen, the four people stopped for a moment, their movements pausing as they all listened.
Quinita didnât know that Elysia was the owner of Arcanum House.
Elysia took a moment to think and then answered, âI used to live at Arcanum House, but I moved to Royal Bay.â
The second Quinita mentioned âRoyal Bay,â the four people in the kitchen froze. They exchanged glances, clearly knowing who lived in Royal BayâZane.
Elysia had moved to Royal Bay. They all wondered if that had anything to do with Zane.
But as they processed that, Quinita was still stuck on the name âArcanum House.â She couldnât shake the feeling that sheâd heard it before, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldnât place it. She kept thinking to herself, âWhere is this Arcanum House?â
Seeing the confused look on Quinitaâs face, Elysia immediately understood. Quinita had been sick for a long time, and during that time, she had isolated herself from the world. It made sense that she didnât know about Arcanum House.
Elysia knew Quinita wouldnât be confused about Royal Bay, though. To Quinita, it was just a regular placeânothing special. There was no way Quinita would know how Royal Bay was connected to anyone.
The brothers in the kitchen, on the other hand, would immediately think of Zane when theyâd be asking her about it soon enough.
1/3 heard âRoyal Bay.â Elysia knew 09:30 Wed, 19 Mar Chapter 352 *293%1 Her gaze shifted and then returned to Quinita. Quinita raised her eyebrows, and Elysia smiled. âHow about I take yours to Arcanum House one day?â
At that, Quinitaâs expression softened, and she nodded. âOkayâ
Just then, Fabian and the others finished cleaning the kitchen and stepped out. They glanced at Elysia but quickly looked away.
âDad, why donât you take Mom out for a walk? Fabian advised, his voice casual.
Edward frowned, clearly unsure of what Fabian meant.
Fabian pressed on. âThe morning air is nice. A walk would be perfectâ
Edward seemed to get it. He looked around at the others and then nodded. âAlright. Weâll go for a walk.â
He walked over to Quinita, speaking in a gentle tone. âQuinita, letâs go for a walk.
Quinita nodded. But when she stood up, she reached for Elysiaâs hand. Edward added, âItâll just be the two of us. These siblings havenât had a chance to talk much lately. Let them catch up.â
Quinita hesitated for a second before letting go of Elysiaâs hand. Then she and Edward left the house.
Once they were gone, the others gathered around Elysia.
âGo ahead and ask,â Elysia said, knowing exactly what was coming. She had been ready for this as soon as she mentioned Royal Bay.
The others exchanged knowing glances. Fabian spoke up first. âElysia, is there a connection between you and Zane in Royal Bay?â
Elysia took a deep breath. âThe house in Royal Bay is actually his.â
The others stared at her for a moment, stunned. Elysia quickly explained, âArcanum House was too far from school, so he let me stay at his place temporarily. Once I find somewhere better, Iâll move out.â
The four brothers exchanged looks, but no one said a word.
If theyâd known this earlier, Elysia wouldnât have ended up staying in Zaneâs house.
None of them could bring themselves to say anything about it.
Looking at the serious faces of the four men, Elysia couldnât shake the strange, uneasy feeling in her chest. She was about to say something to comfort them when Holdenâs voice suddenly cut through the silence. âIâm sorry, Elysia. Itâs my fault.â
Holden looked genuinely remorseful, his gaze heavy with guilt. Heâd been thinking for a while about getting Wendy to buy a house in Sivro, but he hadnât found the right one yet. So, the whole plan had been put on hold.
If he had acted sooner, Elysia wouldnât have ended up living in someone elseâs house.
The other three men lowered their heads, remaining silent.
It seemed like they were lost in thought, maybe even reflecting on themselves.
As older brothers, they knew they hadnât done enough.
âHey, Elysia,â Fabian piped up, his voice breaking the silence. âCan you take us to Royal Bay?â
Elysia nodded at his request. âYeah, of course.â
Chapter 352 When they arrived at Royal Bay, Phoebe was waiting for them. She had gotten the news ahead of time, and the was neatly dressed, sitting on the couch. When the door opened, she stood up quickly and walked over to greet them with a smile.
âElysia told me you were coming. Come on in,â she said, stepping aside to let them inside.
They walked in, taking in the sights of the villa. The furniture and décor were clearly chosen with a feminine touch, showing that whoever had arranged the space put a lot of thought into it.
After a full tour of the place, they all finally sat down on the couch, each of them feeling a mix of emotions.
They had overlooked one thingâZane had done so well If they were right, Zane had carefully selected and set up every piece of furniture in this house.
Fabian furrowed his brow, deep in thought. Unlike the others, his mind kept going back to Elysiaâs words: âYeah, I might... like him.â
A small smile tugged at his lips as he remembered how shy she had looked when she said that. He thought maybe it was time to look at Zane totally differently.
