Chapter 355
Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns
Chapter 355 When Fabian said Elysia liked Zane, his voice dropped low. His gaze darkened, sharp and intense.
Javier didnât say anything. He simply stared straight ahead, his focus unwavering. It wasnât a secret that Elysia liked Zane-~
everyone knew. The problem was, for a long time, neither of them had been willing to admit it.
He just couldnât accept someone who was going to take his sister away from him, even though that person had once looked after Elysia.
Javier remembered that kindness. He would repay it when the time came. But he would never, under any circumstances, let his sister get involved with that man.
Even if Elysia ended up with Zane, Javier hoped it would be an equal partnership.
The thought made his chest tighten. He couldnât stop himself from wondering, âWhat was it about Zane that Elysia liked?
To Javier, Zane had nothing to offer. He found fault with every part of him.
But he knew Elysia would get married one day.
He let out a deep sigh, his eyes drifting to the two of them downstairs. It seemed like heâd have to prepare himself for that possibility. If it happened, he didnât want to be caught off guard, struggling to accept it later.
The next day, Edward, Quinita, and the Evans brothers set off for Jorlandia. Quinita had planned to stay behind, but Edward couldnât bring himself to leave her alone.
Although Quinitaâs health had improved a lot, she still wasnât back to her old self. If she stayed Sivro alone, there was a chance she wouldnât be able to take care of Elysia, and Elysia might end up having to care for her instead.
After some convincing, Quinita agreed to return to Jorlandia with them. They decided that once they had the chance, a while. Edward would come back to Sivro with her and stay for It was a compromise they had both agreed on, and only then did Quinita finally agree to go.

The house at Royal Bay was unusually quiet now with Phoebe nowhere to be found. Elysia didnât mind, though. She enjoyed the peace and quiet. The calm atmosphere was exactly what she needed.
She stretched out lazily on the couch, settling into the cushions as she let out a content sigh.
Suddenly, the sound of the doorbell snapped her out of her relaxed state. She got up and walked over to the door. But when she saw who was standing there, she froze. âZane? What are you doing here?â
Her hair cascaded loosely around her waist, and she wore a simple white spaghettiâstrap dress that stopped just above her thighs. The hem was trimmed with delicate lace, giving it a subtly alluring touch.
Zaneâs eyes widened as he took in her appearance. He quickly cleared his throat and glanced away.
Elysia realized her choice of outfit, and her cheeks turned pink. âOh, wait a second!â she said, flustered. âLet me change.â
Then she quickly closed the door behind her.
When the door opened again, she had slipped on a light chiffon blouse over her dress. The short skirt remained the same, but the blouse covered most of her upper body, leaving just enough of her flawless skin visible.
It wasnât as revealing as before, but it was still eyeâcatching.

Elysia couldnât help but notice his discomfort. Her brows furrowed in confusion.
âZane,â she asked, crossing her arms, âwhy are you here today? Whatâs going on?
Zane didnât say a word at first. Instead, he handed her a file. Elysia took it, eyeing him suspiciously. When she saw what was insideâthe property deed and all the related documentsâshe froze.
âThe paperwork just got finished today,â Zane said. âFrom now on, this house is yoursâ
Elysia blinked in surprise. Just yesterday, she and Fabian had discussed this. She hadnât expected things to move so fast Zane must have sensed her thoughts. He gave her a reassuring smile.
Worried that Fabian would back out, he used a few connections. What wouldâve taken three days was handled in just half a day.
Once the paperwork was in his hands, there was no going back. Even if Fabian changed his mind, it was too late.
Zane asked, âElysia, my momâs birthday is in two days. Wanna come with me?â
Elysia looked up, eyes wide in surprise. âMe? With you?â
Zane raised an eyebrow. âIs that a no?â
âNo! Itâs not,â Elysia quickly replied.
âThatâs good. Iâll pick you up the day after tomorrow,â Zane said.
He turned to leave, but after taking just a few steps, he stopped.
His posture stiffened like he was holding something back. He seemed to tremble slightly. Elysia was confused, but he suddenly spun around and walked straight toward her. Without warning, he lifted her off her feet and set her gently on the dining table behind her.
He leaned his hands on the table, his head lowering. They were so close now that Elysia could hear his steady breath and the thumping of his heart.
Elysia sat up straight, staring at him. She hesitated before speaking. âZane...â
Before she could finish, Zane tilted his head and whispered in her ear, his voice rough, âWhat if someone else was knocking outside? Not me, but someone else?â
âHuh?â Elysia didnât fully understand.
Seeing her confused, Zane dropped his gaze to her neck. âNext time, donât wear something so... revealing. It wouldnât be good if someone else saw you like this,â he said, his voice calm.
Elysia blinked. âAre you someone else?â
At her words, Zane looked up at her, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. âExcept for me.â
He said it slowly, stressing each word, and his gaze was so intense that it felt like it could swallow her whole.
Elysia didnât answer, and her silence only made him focus more on her pink lips. Slowly, he leaned in closer, his breath warm against her skin.
2/3 Chapter 355 Just as their lips were about to meet, he stopped, Am I seriously losing my mind? he thought.
Cursing himself inwardly, he pulled her into his arms. âLet me hold you for a whole he said, his schee You ar He knew he was being impetuous, but just this once, he couldnât help it Elysia didnât pull away. She simply let him hold her, her hands lifting slighdy to rest on his waist as if reacting to what he was doing.
âElysia,â Zane murmured, his arms tightening around her. âArenât you worried I wonât be able to soy âNo,â she replied softly.
Now that she understood her feelings, there was no turning back. She wasnât going to let go At her words, Zaneâs grip tightened even more, and their bodies prewed closer together. Their bears beat in sync, wild and fast.
Neither of them said a word. They just stayed like that, wrapped up in each other. It felt like this moment, right here, was enough.
Zane wished time would slow down, just for a little while, so he could hold her a little longer Eventually, though, he reluctantly let her go. He ruffled her hair and gave her one last look before turning to leave.
If he stayed any longer, he wasnât sure he could control himself.
After leaving Elysiaâs house, he walked briskly back to his villa. The moment he stepped inside, he headed straight for the bathroom.
It took him over an hour to calm down a bit. He wrapped a towel around his waist and stepped out, his mind filled with thoughts of Elysiaâs delicate face.
Her subtle floral scent still lingered in his mind, along with the memory of her soft, smooth body, and once more, he felt a strong desire.
His face darkened, and he rushed back into the bathroom, turning on the cold water for another shower.
Meanwhile, Elysia sat at the dining table, replaying what had just happened. She thought something about Zane felt off She didnât understand why he had just left her there on the table like that again.
