Chapter 68
Pampered By Power: The True Heiress Returns
Chapter 68 Ava knew Elena had her reservations. Although Ava was puzzled, she kept it to herself. She knew if Elena wanted them to know something, Elena would speak up.
Elysia, however, understood why Elena acted this way; it likely hard something to do with her past.
While others envied her, Elena was reminded of her own restricted childhood, and she couldnât break free from those shackles.
Elysia thought, âIt must have been hard on her!
As the guests thinned out, Elena and Ava couldnât stay much longer. After a brief farewell, they left with the last wave of guests.
The dinner party was temporarily over. Now it was time to deal with family matters.
Scott sat on the sofa, looking exhausted.
Bella held Einna, sitting on the other side o of the sofa.
Emmaâs eyes were red and puffy, her gaze vacant, her face still stained from her recent crying fit. Her once exquisite makeup was now a mess, making her look quite disheveled.
Flysia, on the other hand, remained cool and composed, sitting across from Bella and Emma, leisurely observing them.
âScott, you have to stand up for Emma, Bella said.
âWhat do you want me to do?â Scott asked. He frowned at Bella, clearly annoyed.
Bella was confused. She thought, The situation is so obvious, how could Scout not see it? When the video first surfaced, she was puzzled. But when the recording was played, she immediately understood.
She hadnât heard the recording, but she knew it was the evidence Elysia sia had once used to persuade Scott She knew all of this was Elysiaâs doing.
y innocent Emma could never compete with her Bella thought, âIt turns out that every step Elysia took was premeditated. My âScott, Elysia is behind all of this,â Bella tentatively spoke up.
âDo you have proof?â Scott asked. His brows furrowed even more. He thought, âDo I need her to remind me? But I have to side with Elysia on this matter.
On one hand, there was a reminder from Zane. On the other hand, Emma was already a lost cause to him and couldnât be of much use. But Elysia was different, e ties with the three major families, and she had just saved face for him tonight. No matter how one looked at it, Elysia was far more Elysia had close useful than Emma. Scott knew how to weigh the pros and coms.
He composed himself and said solemnly, âStarting tomorrow, Emina will move to the suburban villa. She is not allowed to return to the Rosewad residence without my permissionâ
Everyone present was taken aback by this decision. They hadnât expected Scott to make such a move. Especially Mary, her face turned extremely pale.
Ever since Elysia returned to the family, Mary had been observing Elysia. Mary remarked inside, It seems that no matter what happens, as long as it involvs Elysia, others always suffer. She is indeed not a good person Thinking of this, Mary was relieved that she hadnât caused any trouble for Elysia before. She was determined to be more careful in the future and must not provoke Elysia Hearing what Scott said. Bellaâs eyes widened in shock. She hadnât expected him to handle it like this. She said, âScott.â She wanted to plead for Emma Before Bella could say more, Scott raised his hand, his face displeased. He said, âIf you want to plead for her, you can move to the suburban villa with her.â
Bellâs words stuck in her throat. She thought, âAm I not welcome now?
When Euma heard Scottâs decision, her body stiffened. She had thought that with Bellaâs pleading, Scott would reconsider his decision. But she never expected Scott to be so heartless. Tears welled up in her eyes.
12-06 Ð Ð Chapter 68 No matter how stubborn she had acted before, she now cried like a broken doll. She was very aware that if she kept up her act, once she was truly expelled from the family, it would be too late, Without the identity of the Rosewood familyâs eldest daughter, she was nothing. Noone would respect her. With a thud, Emma knelt down in front of Scott, the sound of her knees hitting the ground starting Elysia.
Elysia thought, âEmma is really going all out this time. She is acting so hard. No, it isnât acting it is genuine fear. She is truly afraid of being kicked out of the family.
If only she had thought of this consequence back then, why did she do it in the first place? She brought it upon herself. Noone could help ber!
Emma said. âDad, donât you want me anymore?â She cried her heart out, her eyes filled with grievance as she looked at Scott.
She tried to evoke the last bit of paternal affection from him, hoping he would change his mind.
However, Scott didnât even spare Emma a glance. He said, âSending you to the suburban villa is the greatest leniency I can show you Otherwise, you have nothing âIf you continue to make a scene, I wonât hesitate to sever our fatherâdaughter relationship. From then on, you, Emma, and the Rosewood family will have no connection whatsoever.â
Upon hearing this, Emma stopped crying immediately.
Bella was also stunned. She thought, To sever the fatherâdaughter relationship? Emma is the daughter I have cherished for eighteen years. How could Scott say like that!â
She wanted to say something, but she knew Scott was in a rage, and pleading would only make the situation worse. So she looked at Emma kneeling on the ground, tears welling up in her eyes, and said nothing.
Emma was now on the brink of despair, one step away from falling into an abyss from which there was no return. No one would pull her out, not even Bella.
Her eyes were filled with utter disappointment. She thought, Am I really going to lose like this? She was unwilling to accept it.
Scott said. âIn a while, Iâll have Mary pack your things, and Paul will take you there. With that, he got up and left.
Emmaâs lips were bitten until they bled, and her fists were clenched so tight they turned white. She stared at the floor, her eyes filled with determination.
She thought, âI would get back at Elysia for everything I have suffered today, with interest. It is all because of Elysia. If it werenât for her, everything would go back to how it was before:
After watching the drama unfold, Elysia stretched and slowly stood up. She picked up a tissue from the coffee table and offered it to Enuna She said, âHere, wipe your face.â
Emma looked up at Elysia. Elysiaâs eyes were filled with disdain for Emma. They were filled with the mockery of a winner towards a loser. Emma hated that look. She thought, âEveryone can say I have lost, but not Elysia.
Elysia asked âDonât want it?â Without waiting for Emmaâs response, she let go of the tissue. It floated down from midâair, landing in front of Emma.
Elysia bent down, looked into Emmaâs eyes filled with hatred. She whispered, âDo you know why youâve become like this?â She paused for a second. Then she smiled and continued. âItâs because you messed with me. Iâm not a good person to begin with.â
