Chapter 120
Tattooed Luna
Chapter 0120
âNo. I think Iâm good.â
âAlright, have a good rest of the day. Alpha Alec, Luna Kristen.â She gave a bow before walking out of the
room.
âThank you.â I said before she fully left. Her b*dy paused but she kept going. Sliding off the bed, Alec reached out and grabbed my arm to make sure I was steady.
âLetâs go.â Alec gestured for me to head towards the door so I did. This phone call wasnât going to be a pleasant one. The whole way to the packhouse, we didnât speak. Alec had his hands by his sides but there was like three feet between us as we walked. I felt rather exposed in my ripped t-shirt.
When we got to the packhouse, there was a warrior standing outside the door. That was rather unusual but that was something Iâll tackle later with Alec. Instead, I went straight up to our room.
Going to the closet, I ripped the torn shirt off and put on basic shorts and a tank top that had a built-in bra. Alec even helped move it so it didnât scrap at the bite mark.
âLetâs go to dadâs office to make that call.â Alec said as we exited the closet.
âWhy?â
âHe was going to call him anyway about the locations.â Alec shrugged.
âFine. Itâs getting late as well. Can we just have food brought up to our room and go to bed early?â
âThatâs fine.â Alec didnât even look at me as he walked out of the bedroom and to his dadâs office. Alec
knocked once before opening the door.
âBrian, your daughter actually just walked in and she has something she wanted to inform you of.â
Alpha
Marc frowned. He hit speaker before putting the phone down.
âOkay? Whatâs wrong?â Dadâs voice filled the room.
âHey dad.â I said a little timidly.
âKristen? Whatâs going on?â
âDad, I donât want you to get angry.â
âF uck Kristen. What did you do?â I was a little taken aback by that.
âHEY! I didnât do anything!â I said in my defense. Alec snorted before he sat down.
âYeah, okay. Tell me what happened.â
âAlec was showing me the perimeter of their landâ¦â I started.
âGood. You need to know those things.â I could picture dad nodding.
âYes, well, a gust of wind came and I smelled rogues. Alec looked over and there was about a dozen rogues. He told me to run but I didnât listen and we had about one minute. We shifted and a rogue had already scaled their wall and landed on Alec. Sierra jumped in and saved Alec but we got bit on the shoulder in the process.â
âWell, Iâm happy to hear that Sierra took action but Iâm at a loss why this was a big deal. You have battled rogues before. I have faith you handled it until their warriors got there.â Dadâs confidence in my fighting skills made me give Alec a âtold you soâ look. He rolled his eyes at me.
âWell, at one point. One of the rogues changed back into his human form and said, âthatâs who we want, get herâ or something similar. Basically, they were after me.â
âWHAT?â Dadâs voice echoed across the office.
âAs soon as I heard this, I told Alec to keep some alive. We have some of the rogues in the cells and will interrogate when they wake up.â
âWhat is being done about my daughterâs safety?â Dad asked.
âShe will have a guard with her at all times. I have upped warrior posts around the pack and increased border patrol. I think once they wake up we will find they have orders from Midnight River Pack.â
âYou think so?â Dad asked Alpha Marc.
âAlec, Kristen⦠why donât you let me and Brian handle it from here.â Alpha Marc took dad off the speaker phone and turned his back to us.
I hated being dismissed like that. Standing up, I walked out of the office and stomped my way back to
room. âWhy are you mad?â Alec asked when he got there and shut the door.
âI hate being dismissed like that.â Laying down on the couch, I leaned back and sighed.
