Chapter 26
The Greatest Man Alive
âOkay, ten minutes are up!â Patrick glanced at his watch, stood up, and greeted several security guards at the door to come in.
The security guards walked in with sticks in their hands. They tap that on their palms, making a rhythmic sound.
Patrick squinted his eyes, sneered, and said, âAre you going to kneel down and give in yourself, or wait for them to force you?â
âThis little sc*mbag is just pretending to be powerful. How can he have the phone number of Mr. Hopp!â
âMr. Patrick, donât let go of that b*stard, you must make him pay the price, otherwise any punks will dare to come to make trouble here.â
âYes, teach him a lesson! No one will dare to come to our bank to make trouble in the future!â
Patrick smiled at Nathan and said, âHave you heard it? Give you three seconds to think about it.â
Nathan didnât speak, and just stood up.
Patrickâs eyes turned cold, and he shouted at the security guard, âBeat him!â
Several security guards were about to rush up with sticks, but at that critical moment, a loud roar came from outside the door.
âWho dare beat him!â
When the staff heard that, they turned their heads and saw that Matthew was walking from the outside with a sullen face.
âMr. Kent, youâre here. Thereâs a troublemaker here, and Mr. Patrick is about to beat him upâ¦â
âMr. Kent shows up at right time. Mr. Patrick is doing a great job. You have to reward him!â
Patrick waved to the security guards to stop them.
Then stood up, bowed to Matthew, and said with a smile, âMr. Kent!â
Matthew had a sullen face and said, âWhatâs going on?!â
âThis little b*stard came to make trouble here. Now that Mr. Kent is here, what could he do!â
âHe is humiliating himself in front of Mr. Kent. What a loser is he!â
Patrick handed a cigarette to Matthew, smiled, and said, âThe Johnson Group sent this guy to ask for the loan here and he also beat my assistant. Iâm just about to beat him up! He calls Mr. Hopp, and looks very pretentious. I donât know where that poor man came from. Heâs so ridiculous!â
âYou donât have to be angry. I will make that little sh*t get out of here and let him know the fate of offending the Bank of Mimar.â While speaking, he pointed at Nathan who was leaning on the side.
Matthew turned his head and saw Nathan, shaking the cigarette in his hand, and he became sullen.
âMr. Kent, you have a good subordinate. My wife came to him to talk business and settle matters. He bought a maid outfit, and insisted that my wife wear that outfit to talk to him!â Seeing Matthew looking at him, Nathan couldnât help but smile.
âF*ck! Iâm the manager of the Bank of Mimar. I can do whatever I want to you. Do you have any problems?!â
âLetting your wife wear a maid outfit to talk to me is my right! I have been very merciful to you and willing to give you a chance! You should be grateful. You have to put up with it even if I ask your wife to talk to me naked!â
Patrick was Matthewâs confidant. Patrick spoke recklessly and madly even in front of him.
âMr. Patrick is domineering. He dares to say that in front of Mr. Kent!â
âMr. Patrick is Mr. Kentâs confidant, and he has so many big clients. Itâs normal for him to be a little arrogant.â
âIf only I could have the power of Mr. Patrick in the futureâ¦â
Nathan smiled and slapped Patrickâs face.
That slap made Patrickâs mouth bleed. He was dizzy and fell on the sofa and didnât pass out.
That slap also made everyone silent!
The staves were dumbfounded, and they all took big breaths to calm down.
âThis b*stard⦠Is that crazy? He slapped Mr. Patrick in front of Mr. Kent?!â
Nathan looked at Matthew and said with a sneer, âMr. Kent, you should teach your subordinates!â
âHow dare he beat Mr. Patrick and speak to Mr. Kent in such a tone?!â
âD*mn, heâs looking for death. Mr. Kent, let someone beat that little sh*t, otherwise, we wonât be satisfied.â
âMr. Kent gets angry⦠He is toast! The Johnson Group will go bankrupt tonight!â
Patrick came back to his senses, pointed at Nathan, and shouted, âLittle sh*t, you are so f*cking bold!â
Matthew turned his head, raised his hand, and slapped Patrickâs face. That slap made Patrick fall on the sofa and unable to get up for a while.
âMaster Evans, you are right. Itâs all my fault. I shouldnât let such a b*stard offend you!â The veins on Matthewâs forehead were throbbing.
Stupid Patrick! Who is this guy?
He can make the head of the city, Gerard, stand outside the gate of the hotel to greet him. He is the most important figure even when he sat with Miller, Carlos, and Gerard at the table!
Patrick, this idi*t dares to offend such a big shot. Is he trying to ruin my future?
âWhat?!â
Seeing that Matthew slapped Patrick in the face, everyone couldnât help but be stunned, as if that was an illusion.
âMoreover, Matthew is still apologizing to Nathan, saying that itâs his fault?â
âMaster Evans is a very respected friend of Mr. Hopp. Itâs an honor to have him here to solve problems.
However, you not only bully Master Evansâs wife but also treat him so rude?!â Matthew kicked Patrick in the body. Patrick crouched in the corner.
Matthewâs words made everyone startled!
âIt turned out that Nathan was not pretentious at all, but really knew Mr. Hopp, and he indeed called him!â
âWhere did the Johnson Group find such an awesome young man?â
âWhen did Natalie find such a great husband?â
Matthew blushed with anger, and the blue veins on his forehead were throbbing again.
Patrickâs assistant woke up at that time. When he saw that scene, he rolled his eyes in fright and passed out again.
âYou! Get up and kneel to apologize to Master Evans?!â Matthew roared and pulled Patrick off the sofa.
Patrick was dumbfounded and looked at Nathan at a loss.
Clap! Slap!
Matthew raised his hand and slapped Patrick in the face again, and said, âAre you deaf?!â
Patrick burst into tears, fell to his knees, and knelt to Nathan..
That made the staff dumbfounded.
âMr. Patrick, who has always been arrogant and domineering, knelt down?â
They rubbed their eyes, and some couldnât believe what was happening.
