Chapter 3
The Greatest Man Alive
Miller Walter, the wealthiest man in Mimar City, was a legend. And it was not an exaggeration.
He was imprisoned for two years in Devendill Prison, where Nathan had taken good care of him. Plus, he was able to get out of prison because of Nathan. Even though Nathan was young, he was Millerâs savior.
âMr. Walter, sorry for bothering you. You even came to the airport to pick me up.â Nathan smiled and spoke.
âMr. Nathan, this is what I should do!â Miller said with a laugh, âThis is a gift I prepared for you, two bottles of vintage wine.â
Nathan was stunned and asked, âWhy did you prepare this?â
Miller smiled. âIf you want to propose, you must bring some decent wine to the girlâs family! I have stored these two bottles for many years, and they would be a wonderful gift!â
Nathan thought about it and agreed. He couldnât go to the Johnson family empty-handed.
Hector Johnson was Nathanâs fatherâs friend. Nathanâs dad helped Hector start the business, and after Nathan and his dad were driven out of the Evans family, the Johnson family helped them for a period.
And now, Nathanâs dad asked him to marry Hectorâs daughter, Natalie Johnson.
Nathan walked into the Johnson familyâs yard with his luggage and two bottles of wine. Hector, whom Nathan hadnât seen for many years, was sitting in the living room.
âNathan! I received a letter from your dad two weeks ago. Youâre finally here!â Hector shouted and shook hands with Nathan.
Nathan saw Hector and smiled. âUncle Hector!â
Hector said, âJust in time! Go to the government office with Natalie and get the marriage certificate!â
A girl snorted coldly on the side, with her face full of disgust.
She was dressed in a snow-white dress, and a delicate golden belt outlined her slender waist. The makeup on her pretty face was delicate and beautiful, and her long legs were more attractive than anything else.
Hectorâs wife, Luisa Johnson, was also frowning. She didnât understand why Hector refused the marriage of the Roberts family and chose this prison guard!
âUncle Hector, why so hurry?â Nathan scratched his head and said embarrassedly.
âThis was settled a long time ago!â Hector laughed.
Natalie looked at Nathan coldly and said, âI didnât expect you actually to become a prison guard. What a shame!â
Nathan nodded to her with a smile. âNatalie, long time no seeâ¦â
Natalie looked at her childhood friend and shook her head.
A long time passed, and she knew Nathan was not worthy of her. However, her fatherâs order made her unable to resist. But if they were forced to be together, their relationship might be easier to collapse.
Luisa pointed at Nathan and said, âHector, what would your relatives think if you married Natalie to this brat? How would your friends talk about it? Look at him. After so many years, he is still a prison guard!â
âThe first time he came here, he brought two bottles of fake wine. Are you sure you want to marry your daughter to such a person?!â
Nathan said lightly, âI brought two vintage wines, Millerâ¦â
Luisa sneered with contempt. âI have a few boxes of wine at home. Would you like me to take them out and show you? And you said yours are vintages? Do you know how much a fine vintage wine costs? Is it something you can afford?â
Nathan smiled and said nothing.
Hector shouted angrily, âStop it, you are not allowed to doubt! Natalie, go with Nathan and get the marriage certificate now!â
Although Natalie was unwilling, she went to the government office with Nathan and got the marriage certificate.

âIâm married?â Looking at the certificate in his hand, Nathan was helpless.
In the photo, Natalieâs face was frosty, which made it didnât look like a wedding photo.
Natalie looked at Nathan and said indifferently, âYou must know youâre not worthy of me. You are just a prison guard, and I am the president of the Johnson Group!â
âI hope you behave yourself and have any evil thoughts. We will divorce immediately as long as my father agrees!â
Then, Natalie got into the car, slammed the door shut, and drove away.
Nathan looked at the taillights and shrugged helplessly. It seemed that he had been left alone. Plus, why did all these women repeat the same sentence?
How could they consider him not worthy without even knowing him?
Nathan shook his head, then took out a key card from his pocket.
He muttered, âForget it. Iâll find a place to rest first. If Nightking dares to fool me, I will hang him up in the toilet for three days after returning to Devendill Cityâ¦â
Nightking gave Nathan a key card after learning that Nathan would go to Mimar City. He said it was the key card of his villa, which was the best in the city.
Nathan had just walked out of the government office when he saw Jade jump off a jeep.
âIt seems that you have already married Natalie and become the son-in-law of the Johnson family.
Good for you. At least you will not worry about daily life in the future,â Jade said lightly.
âNone of your business.â Nathan didnât like the womanâs attitude and replied with a half-smile.
Jade remained calm and continued, âYou are an ordinary prison guard, but the Johnson family is wealthy. It will be difficult if you want to stand firm.â
âWe used to be engaged, but I broke our engagement. So, I allowed you to ask me to do something for you. Donât be ashamed. Natalie is a good woman with many admirers who dreamt of being her husband. If you need me to help you, you can contact me anytime.â
Nathan looked indifferent.
He looked at Jade and said, âNow, Iâm sure. Youâre indeed mental!â
âDo you think I care about standing firm in the Johnson family? Even your Perkins family is a piece of trash for me. Please put away your superiority. Iâm none of your business!â Nathan spoke rudely, then, he walked away.
Jadeâs expression was gloomy. She felt sorry for Nathan when she broke the engagement, so she wanted to make up for him. But she didnât expect him to be so ungrateful.
âHow daring! But how could you bear being the son-in-law of the Johnson family with your great pride?â
Jade got into the jeep and drove away, and even the car seemed to be roaring to Nathan in disdain.
Nathan came to Almonube Estate alone. Almost every rich person in Mimar City lived here, and Nightkingâs villa was on the top of Mountain Almonube.
